i always hate getting stuck in guard. i’ve been doing no gi for a few months now but i have 2 years of hs wrestling. one day a guy puts me in a triangle and i had the bright idea of “maybe i should just..stand up?” and as i basically deadlifted this dude he must’ve thought i was gonna slam him because of how fast i stood up as he let go at the highest point and fell but i was never going to but i could see now why he’d think so😅
@@pulloutpadawan420 glad you didn’t slam him 😂. I posted a previous video of my favorite way to open the closed guard without standing. It requires some practice and sensitivity but is now my go to guard open from the knees. Check it out and let me know what you think. Great to hear that you are training BJJ.
@@nakapanmy gym specifically is an mma and we do no gi and I usually go for the knees in the butt pass (idk if that’s what it’s called but it’s what I was told) but could you do any no gi passes
