Thank you Dylan. Another inspiring film. These films are one reason why I moved from dinghy to yacht sailing ! Looking forward to your Scottish adventures!
bless you man - I have really enjoyed my sailing over the past seven years and intend to enjoy it some more. Sharing it on the web has added to the journey - certainly I haave learned a lot about the places I have been to and have been able to make the most of the, emotionallly it has been really gratifying to get emails and comments from blokes who cannot sail at the moment - due to age, weather or not enough money, finally financially through people buying the DVDs and downloading the films.... no thanks to google though - this site is getting `150,000 hits a month - worth about $200 a month .... swines
Dylan, Good to see the Solent video - agree with many comment here - do get up to Newport if you can - likewise the creeks at Newtown Creek go on for miles - the right hand one as you come in ends at a lovely little bridge but you will need your dinghy to get up there. Those ranks of red buoys off the point between Priory Bay and Seagrove Bay are for the summer visitors, and others, and you will see a huge number of ribs and sailing dinghies moored there in the the summer. Enjoy the Solent
Nice one Dylan, I just got back from the 38th parallel and all the cacophony that tourists bring. This vid was just what the doctor ordered to "reboot" the brain..... Excellent.
Nice video Dylan, great to see a bit more of the Solent on your KTL adventure, I'm sure you will enjoy the next few weeks before your trip North. Perhaps I will see you out sailing. Plenty of exploring to do before you go though. Beaulieu is expensive if you want to stay but do take a sail up there, likewise don't stop at Cowes but sail up to the Folly inn or beyond up to Newport where you can dry out for the night. Also worth exploring Portsmouth hbr (where I am based), you can sail right up to Fareham or Port Solent easily. let me know if you want somewhere cheap to spend the night in the hbr.
ah...no...not even half done... this is a boat I have bought in the solent to do the tough stuff over the top. You tube is only half the story.... I hope the eadventure never ends
Dylan, Another of your wonderful films that keep me inspired at the age of 82. Your videos just keep getting better and better. I bought a couple of your videos of your earlier East Coast jaunts and I especially love the Wells episodes. That trip thru' the marshes to Blakeney in your punt was fantastic. Good luck, Stay safe and I look forward to many more of your adventures. PS I'm fascinated by your hand held eTrek GPS you used when walking the creeks around Wells. Which model was it please.?

Dylan, Thanks for deciding to make your wonderful journey a few years ago, and for taking us with you. I hope it goes on as long as you want it to.

I do agree with your sentiments about Newtown Creek. The chart never seems to tell us everything to expect about a place.

Tied to work and home - sailing by proxy next best thing. Cheers Dylan
