I have been singing for many years. I even have taken voice lesson. However, for some strange reason I have never encountered this information. With one tip I am able to make notes I've always wanted to reach but haven't been able to. Thanks so much!!!!!
Wow!!! So great to hear that. These really are a game changer. 😊
Thank you for this amazing lesson. I've only practiced one or two times but was shocked to discover when singing yesterday a word that was F4# and held, with some vibrato, my vocal pitch monitor informed me I also hit F5# in places. I didn't try to do that, it just happened naturally and wasn't remotely strained or forced. I'm blown away at how this one lesson has changed / is improving, my voice. You are a great teacher.
Thankyou so much for this. Wow!! So excited it’s clicking. Great job. 🎉🎉🎶
This is like riding a bicycle, once you learn it, can’t forget it. Thanks for this lesson my voice has been changed forever !
Wow!!!! That’s so exciting!! 🎶🎶
Wow, so true! It's easier to reach those high notes with this visualization. You're an awesome vocal teacher!
Thankyou. So glad it’s helpful. 😊🎶
I’ve been watching singing videos for years and this is the first one that fixed my problem in seconds. This is genius. You made it make so much sense in a way that no one EVER has! I am still shocked lol. Thank you 🙏🏼

Yes. Si true!! Let me know how you go and any questions.. 😊
Love this! Love you. Thank you!!!!
Love that!! Thankyou. 🎶🎤
This explanation makes so much sense and really helps you feel where you want the air to go! I’ve had some vocal lessons before and it’s always felt vague and hard to know if I’m doing it right(or at least to consistently hit the notes with confidence) thank you!
That’s great to hear!! Love that. 🎶🎤
Thank you. This is very clear
Glad you found it helpful. It is a game changer..

Great videos! Back not up is a GAME CHANGER
Yes!! So good right!! Think the whole revelation that singing is NOT intuitive changes everything. Often opposite of what we think 😊🎶🎤 love it!!
Thank you Angie for this wonderful information on technique and practice exercises. I can't yet feel the vibration in the back of my palate, but just the breathing technique and keeping my tongue down are making a difference already in keeping things loose.
Oh that’s great to hear. 😊
This may be a game changer! Thanks for this information!
So good!
Amazing technique!
Thankyou. 💪
Nice one.Thanks.
Glad you found it helpful 🎉
Thank you soooo much! This was just what I needed. Off I go to practice ‚I was born‘ - the first three words of Sam Cooke‘s ‚A change is gonna come‘, The ‚born‘ gave me so much trouble, and I was desperate to find a way to be able to hit it with confudence and power ❤
Love that!! Let me know how you go or if you have any questions. Angie

Works great!
Love that!! 🎶🎤
Thank you so much for your extra ordinary vocal instructional videos! Can you please teach us how to have a gospel tone for the hymn “ Goodness of God”! Have endless blessing!
Great question. Love that. Ok so that’s going to involve a fuller placement and resonance around the back of the throat and some specifics exercises to learn to find that spot - I’ll do a video on that. Do you know what your range is so I can do it in your key?
I love this everything is so true very helpful so glad l found u thanks Angie Pgh pa
Pleasure. So glad it’s helpful. 😊
Thanks you
Pleasure. So glad you liked it.

Glad you loved it!! Teaching. 😂😂
That's why you're my favorite Teacher!
hi angie...just booked a session for Monday.. I'm assuming its my time (UK).
Ive taken this week to work on high notes ...my achilles heel! Weirdly i was struggling
on a Bobby 'caldwell' song (what you wont do for love..beaut of a song if you dont
know it) getting frustrated & stumbled on yr channel. I thought it HAS to be a sign lol!
I'll follow your tips/advice this week an prob sort it myself ha ha but no worries look
forward to the chat and be money well spent im sure. Neil
Hi Neil! How exciting!! Looking forward to it and hearing how you went this week. Can’t wait to work on it with you. Angie
Hi!
I've been taking singing lessons for over a year now and want to perform Gary Moore songs.
Could you please record a video for a male vocal to get those G, A, B of the 4th octave with a chest resonance?
I still find it difficult to last long in that upper range. It's very hard to be there and it does not sound as clear and resonant as for instane E.
Switching to a mix or a head voice helps to feel free and get's back the clarity, but it sounds shallow without a chest.
Thank you so much!
Hi. Thanks for your comment. I can see if we can pop that on the list for a filming day soon. In the meantime have a look at the video we did on an Ed Sheeran song that went through that area - we used a few tools to help you understand how to find that area. If you are finding it difficult up there it means you still have too much chest or need more pharyngeal to help balance your mix (that nasally twang helps with accessing more of this while learning) there's a few things that will reduce that but bottom line if you are singing in mix that top area is free, powerful and the longer you sing the stronger and more effortless it gets.
@@AngiesVocals thank you so much for such a detailed explanation! Best wishes, Igor!
Pleasure. Let me know how you go. 🎶
nice video
Thank you.
Unlocking my brain like a pro! Let's say I can sing 3 octaves + some but I have no volume. Please can you explain volume? Also I would like to hear more about placement.
Hey :) love you are getting so much from this. Do great question. Do everyone biologically has 4.5-5 octaves - but most of us don’t know how to access it. You are able to navigate 3 octaves lightly which is great. But to get volume it requires you to learn how to use the muscles in a different way which requires the fattening of the vocal folds as they stretch longer for the higher notes. Most people need to learn how to do this. It’s not intuitive.
@@AngiesVocals Thank you very much for raking the time to reply. See... I am a junior in vocal lessons yet, but I am naturally curious and like to learn things in depth. 😊 I am still trying to "stretch" my voice (muscle wise) . But the roll tip made a difference!
I love that!! The stretching should be super easy. Gentle sirens can help with the tongue out if it gets stuck going higher (backwards) 🎶🎤
Can I use that teknik to Open Arms of Journey s song
Yes of course. Try the 3 and see which works the best. Sometimes you need to use a combination.
👌👌👌
Thankyou. 😊🎶
Im gonna become the next mariah carey with this tip 🎉
Love it!!! 🎤🎶
Praise God, I meet you at the channel, so helpful. Subscribe ❤
So happy you are finding it helpful. God is so good. 😊

hello there is a question i want to ask (but before i do i want to say that english is not my main launguage so if it doesnt make any sense what i say im sorry...) i am an alto when i sing in deeper notes(?) im comfortable but my voice gets shaky but if i sing in higher notes my voice doesnt shake but its hard for me to sing (since its not a range that im comfortable with lol) may i ask how can i fix this?
Hi and thankyou for your question. Without doing a vocal assessment it’s tricky too say but if you practice singing with your tongue out it should start to reduce the shakiness in the low notes and might give you more control on the higher ones too. Let me know how you go. Angie
@@AngiesVocals thank you so much!!
could you demonstrate the sirening up but then sing some words up there please in mixed voice, I find it difficult to connect what you are doing with actual singing. I'm male and wanting to sing higher in mixed voice. I am doing most of the sort of things you say but feel that my progress with this, though significant, is still not seeming easy and I'm stuck at about e/f/ above middle c. Thanks
Hi Chris. Thanks for your message. Yes. I can demonstrate that for you. Getting stuck at E/F4 is very common and is easier to fix than you think. There are a few things we need to unlock for that. Generally there are 5 things going on that need to be addressed.
Same for me as well
Hi Angie, me too. I'm working on the Tempations song, "To Be Continued". Your channel is precious!!
Just recorded an example for you today. Should be up soon. 👍
Ma'am when ever i open my mouth to sing a phrase Or even Talk its feel like im blocking my air thorw my nose or maybe. But I do feel weird and heavy in my Nose bridge side.
Can't you help ma'am 🙏..
Thankyou for your question. Do you have any allergies, hay fever or issues with your nasal passage?
@@AngiesVocals No, but I found difficulty to taking breath and letting go. And whenever I think that I have take a breath, and want to use into my phrases so I feel blockless into my nasal passage. Maybe I don't know how to use my breath support and how to take breath.
The problem im having is my head/ mix voice . My falsetto has been always high can hit whistle register with lip rolls. But singing is exhausting. Especially after G4 hitting notes are so hard like in impossible, someone you loved , Tennessee whiskey riff nope.
Yes that’s quite common. It probably means you have chest and head individually accessible but not working together as 1 instrument.
@@AngiesVocals interesting, may i ask what i can do in this situation?
Yes so you need to teach the head and chest to work together - less pressure and squeezing in chest. It’s very counter intuitive - some people need to go back to falsetto to reset and learn from very light mix. But at the moment it means you are pulling chest all the way to G4. This means you need to start adjusting muscle pressure from the B3/C4
@@AngiesVocals okay did it yesterday. But i thought it was not right but i could blend with no break. Problem was its being weak and because of not full closure it hurts a bit after a while but got it now thx
@@onur6396 ah yes. You might need some ugly or edgy sounds to help gently mix. If it’s airy it’s not quite right, should never hurt.
Totally effortless, I felt nothing!! ❤❤
Wow!! That’s fantastic!! 🎉🎉🎶
But for me, when I want to hit a pitch, I'd scream with air and it'd hit
Ok interesting. That’s great. For some people it works. The goal is that you can do it without fatiguing and have control of soft, loud and flexibility to sing any song, line and word without restriction..
