Larry myers and motoworld...
Great job...
i think i was watching this on my birthday
I loved ol Larry Myers
In my opinion RJ was the best mx sx rider ever to have lived. We were all robbed that day when he broke his wrist. He would have set quite a record to be beaten. He also was such a professional. I was lucky to be able to meet him at Farleigh castle vets de nation. Such a nice bloke.
Absolutely had Rick not got hurt he would won numerous more national championships hell he all but had 89 Supercross in bag it's definitely a shame his career was definitely cuts cutshort in its prime
I would love to see the Motoworld episode that showed Rick Ryan winning the 1987 Daytona Supercross. My friend and I snuck onto the track and was there for the main event. We can be seen at the end of the race. My friend helped Rick up, after he bailed off his bike in pain after winning. He raced with a bad knee. I only saw it once when Motoworld came on weekly.
Thats awesome!! AFAIK this is the last true privateer win at the pro level in America. I found an interview with Ryan and he said he won a moto at Gatorback that year too I think.
I was there also! Great memories!
GOOD OLD DAYS 🤘
I almost forgot how rough the tracks where back then today they flow big difference
Such a shame Rick Johnson’s motocross and supercross career came to the beginning of the end after his crash in Gainesville around this time.
RJ was such a beast!
So sad how that ended up being a career ending injury.
Was there that day a gatorback when RJs career was ruined!
