I’m so glad it was helpful! I’ve been using them regularly since I got them. They are super soft. I really like that there are various sizes for many of the brushes. Do you think you’ll pick any if them up? (I will say…they aren’t a necessity. But I love Danessa lol)

I’ve spent so much money on beauty recently that I’m really trying to hold back. 😅 I would probably go for the face set if I could spend a little bit more, but I’ll probably end up just getting the starter kit because it’s a good variety without being too expensive! I was interested to see the shapes because the website really doesn’t have any pictures that show that! I really love the shape of the foundation brush in particular, it just makes so much sense for the contours of the face! I’m so happy to hear they’re soft!
@Criticalbeauty411 totally understandable. I have to live on water and sunshine for a while. Thankfully, I’d planned for quite a while for going to the makeup show. And seeing Danessa made it all worth it!

Thank you for reviewing the brush set! I’m interested in them but wanted an up close look at them before deciding. I don’t need 40 new brushes but the eye set and face set equal the price of all of them so I might do it!
I’m glad it was helpful! If I buy any new brushes it will be a day too soon lol. Seeing Danessa made me want to buy the entire room!
So far, I’ve been using the eye brushes most. I will say, the brushes are very very soft and I enjoy that there are different sizes for most of the brushes (mini, small, medium, large). I actually like that more than I expected! I don’t think you can go wrong with having a really solid synthetic brush set. I tend to put those through the wringer way more than my natural hair brushes. I’ll be excited to hear what you decide!! ❤️

How do you think these compare to the BK Beauty brushes?
I started writing a response and then who knows what happened lmao
So, in comparison to the BK brushes, I would say the yummy brushes are much softer. Initially I was thinking maybe they would be too soft to really pick up and place products, but they really do an amazing job! I really like that there are different sizes of the brushes. I think that will be great for different size eyes and such. Sometimes I like a brush and wish it was either bigger or smaller, so having the option is awesome! And I really like the handles!! They standout amongst allllllllll the other brushes I have lmao I don’t want to even think about having to wash all these damn brushes I now have ❤️❤️❤️

The low lighters are amazing! I tend to not do much highlighter so I know they would be perfect for me. You can build them up, but I kinda like the “glow from within” vibes. ❤️❤️

I know you only went for certain items, but do you remember if there were other Japanese brushes available other than Hakuhodo?
I just tried finding the program that listed all of the booths, but I can’t find it! I know for sure Hakuhodo has a booth with just the soaps. But next to them was a booth with a variety of natural hair brushes. I think mainly Hakuhodo or chikuhodo. I didn’t see many people at the booths though! Most people who wanted brushes were snatching up the Danessa x MyKitCo brushes and other synthetic brush brands that were there.
I know the next makeup show is in Chicago and they will definitely have NY again next year. They usually have a list of the brands that will be there! Do you think you will try to go one day?
