Adam! Thank you very much for this informative video! I am deeply impressed. I am fascinated when thinking about creating a website in 60 seconds or less. It totally changes my perspective. I have always thought that WP has been a bit cumbersome to deal with. Now it is getting easier. It is also great that the performance is enhanced. I am looking froward to this.

As someone who has never built a site, to knowing that i can have AI help me get the quick basics down to get started, ((which seems to be the biggest hurdle for entrepreneurs & DIY ppl)), I am so excited about this new feature! Yes is a pretty magical thing when you experience it for yourself. It still amazes me.
The command pallete will be powerful IF they think in terms of actions on objects, verbs on nouns. Users always as support questions in the form of "how do I (action) on (object). Map the navigation to the users thinking.
Absolutely! You nailed it! To make the command palette truly powerful, WordPress should align it with users' thought processes. This way, users can easily find what they need and get support with questions. It's all about mapping navigation to users' thinking to create a seamless and intuitive experience. Great insight!
the problem with blocks is that it is hard to design a good one. I hate having to do anything regarding css inside the blocks. If blocks can just be seperated just for the functionality it provides. That will really chang eeverything. Cauz it will mean you can acutally have third party libraries included with the site seamlessly.

Zip will initially be using the free Astra theme which is nice because so many people already own the pro version of the theme in case they want to extend the website.
Sir , I'm new to WordPress and trying to create header with default WordPress theme. Something or the other breaks up now and then. And also i created a new header template but unable to use that in WordPress editor or select it as header.

What impact will WordPress 6.3 have on Divi sites and the developers?
It looks like Divi sites won't have the editor interface. I just upgraded and the WP dashboard still looks like the same.

Oh no, ZipWP is going to use Astra Theme and the block editor initially. Then most likely Elementor will also be an option. SureCart works with all WordPress installs, themes, page builders.

Looks like with 6.3 you don't need Astra to layout your page - would you agree? Would 6.3 also eliminate the need for Beaver Builder?
Astra is a classic theme and with 6.3 their main focus was on block based themes. The landscape is evolving.
Great video thank you. I do pick up that WordPress is deliberately avoiding terminology that was created to be logical and universal; such as blocks, sections, modules and global. It is a pity since it might divide the current independent ecosystems to be more fragmented, and they might be discouraged to develop future integrations.
He really is, I first built a wordpress site 5 years ago watching his videos, step by step, He is Awesome..
Quick question: Will 6.3 have the ability to select which elements or block are displayed on different devices. Currently I use a work-around, but why this feature is not standard in the framework is ridiculous.

If you're comfortable with Elementor and your sites are working well, there's no urgent need to switch to Gutenberg.

Sadly, multilingual is not built into the core of WordPress, but it is something they have stated will be a focus. There are plugins for this, but it really should just be a core thing.

We are debating on the best or easiest way to get a site out of Zip and to your hosting. That could be one way. And yes there are some similarities there, but Zip has fully made websites, the design, images, and words and is geared for the end user or agency that is making websites. There will be hundreds of real world designs.

It is powered by Gutenberg and Spectra, which is extension for Gutenberg. Creating beautiful websites just with Gutenberg can be challenging.

Why are Wordpress Navbars so boring and Bootstrappy? I've never seen a pleasing looking nav area in any wordpress site. I've had a go at trying to sex them up a bit but i find Wordpress daunting over what I can do with CSS.
I totally get where you're coming from. I think the idea is, they leave it to the theme developers.

I want WP to break free from PHP, the barriers of WP-powered websites.
I don't know about you but this is getting insanely complex on how to build ecommerce sites. I don't know how my customers will adapt to such huge changes.
Change can be overwhelming. However, keep in mind that these updates are designed to enhance the overall website building experience and provide more powerful tools for creating stunning sites.

They have new things too, but they have mostly built something separately from WordPress, so many of the new WordPress benefits don't carry over. I see Divi 5 is embracing the block editor though, so maybe Elementor will so the same.

Turned off - Sadly you can't build other nav systems like mega menus. Only looks like a top nav, no side nav like AG1.
The WordPress core leaves things such as mega menu to theme and plugin developers, so the platform remains lightweight.
Not impressed. Just another cosmetics update. I expected more functional updates, to move Block theme mode forward. Block theme mode is so crippled when compared to classic themes. It seems to be targeted for non tech users with simple requirements and expects them to manually enter or set static site content.
For those needing to control content in more advanced and dynamic form (with use of custom post types, custom taxonomies and fields, or even parametrized content creation) it is still very primitive and in some cases unusable.
looks like wordpress killing divi and other builders
wpzip restaurant example looks like a ripoff GeneratePress cafe theme.
1. I don't see a cafe theme for GeneratePress.
2. There is a Java theme and a restaurant theme I do see, the structure of them are completely different.
Can you point out what makes you feel like they are similar, because I don't see it in the slightest.

Blocks are plain horrible. I will stick to page builders. AND I hate premade themes as they are hard to change into actually working and tailored websites. They taste like plastic. So far this kind of changes are ok for those that have low expectations and no ambition.

Out of every WordPress update I have done, nothing was ever broken. Maybe you have WordPress confused with Elementor which has a really bad history of this.
@@WPCrafter After years of using Elementor Pro I recently gave up on renewing my subscription to them... too much fluff compared to what the future of WP is revealing itself to be. Running the paid versions of GeneratePress products smokes Elementor in so many ways these days.

@@WPCrafter breakdance is so clean coded. My 2 clients websites are jumping in Google. I must say, I added real good content. It's all about create good content and place answers in some paragraphs. Google picks it up as snippets. My experiences, writing content as a person write about his or her experiences. I notice, google loves it. Elementor was first great. But they got hard competition now. Writing content now , you only need Gutenberg actually. Love it. Simple and easy. It's all about content.
