Thinking about making a video on affordable puzzles than you can get. Thoughts?
PLEASE DO THIS! I've got my birthday coming up, I can just send people that video for gift ideas.
Please do because I love puzzles and especially affordable ones lol
Yes please I really want to buy more puzzles but they're either really expensive or cheap and really easy
You should try making your own puzzles
Yes please that would be great 😊
Can someone send him a box that seems like a really hard puzzle that actually is just a box that cannot be opened
He’d find a way

Chris: Turns it upside down on every move
I searched for this comment hahah
I literally commented about this same thing just now lmao
Yeah but he was just showing it to the camera so it's rather iffy. He could either stick to the rules to the letter or show the audience

The intro could literally be an advert, amazing quality

Yh
The positivity in the comment section is truly heartwarming!

More than once I've thought that it's a ad CZcams is showing before seeing that the video has actually started
Yeeeessss
idk why but when i heard the intro i thought i misclicked on a liam thompson video lol
"I know spinning is gravity I am aware of that" - Chris not being aware that it isn't
Centrifugal force next time
Hahaha thought same
Gustavo Melendez centripetal
well spinning is kinda cuz of inertia, which is measured by mass, which affects gravity xD
gravity is a force, inertia is not. They are not even "kinda" the same thing
Wow, Chris, AMAZING intro. That is a fantastic intro, such quality I thought it was an advert!
I love watching you solve puzzles because you always come up with an unexpected angle or move or thing. When you tipped it up and the box came out for you, man I hadn't expected that!!! You made a shortcut which avoided half the puzzle. My bad in design. Didn't see that coming. Shame, because if you'd worked the marble up and about more you'd go down a lovely path with another nice tool to complete the puzzle. I've got some work to do to close that loophole :-)
Thanks for the enthusiasm and love of puzzles. Keep it happening man.
Philip Black amazing design.. hopefully he will see this comment and redo it showing us the moves he missed! Still was a fabulous puzzle though, well done xo
@@mogatronkel i'd be willing to bet he would if Philip sent him the solve instructions. He's done that before where he's discovered a shortcut in the design and gone back after with the instructions to solve it properly.
Yeah. Think he was like - ahhh past 20min must be right. That big long slot is a weird design choice...
Chris you've gotta ^^
Fantastic puzzle man. I loved all the different tools! Great work!
Creater: do not tip upside down
Chris:tips upside down and solves it
no he didnt?
Lol
??? First, to clarify, I’m not blaming Chris. Puzzles shouldn’t need such a restriction of “keep it flat on the table” when built like this. However. The creator did say to keep it on its bottom to solve it properly, and said in his own comment that it wasn’t suppose to just slide out like that how it did for Chris. Apparently, he was only about halfway done with the puzzle and an oversight caused the box to come out prematurely. So yeah, him tilting it did actually cause the puzzle to be solved quicker by accident.
jedixander05 thank you
Not prematurely. He solved it at the moment that he would normally put a finger inside and take it. There wasn't anything more to solve
instructions say "dont take off the feet"
instantly lifts box
The price for a 3D printed project is more reflective of the design and printing time than it is about the material. I'm also hoping to send you a 3D printed puzzle box... one day!
Peter VanderMeulen I’ll be waiting for the video 👌🏻
A wooden puzzle requires the added element of craftsmanship. The snowblock can easily be mass produced.
@@vsquar3d yeah that was my thought but the price is like 750 British pounds
@@vsquar3d I think it should be added that 81hrs of printing of a 240Watt machine can add some costs + post-processing as well. Still 750 quid quite a lot.
Additionally as that was his first design ever how should he even start to estimate how many can be sold? He put a lot of time in the design and really needs to sell quite a bunch before you can even talk about earning money. The printing and assembly time limits the number he can sell in a certain time further.

The idea of a 3d printed puzzle is pretty neat... Means there are literally endless possibilities for new puzzles
Awesome production quality as usual. This puzzle looked super fun and it’s awesome you give shoutouts to small indie brands.
I would love to get my hands on a difficult puzzle to unravel myself, and then have my friends try when they come over. However my budget would be maybe 300-500$?? Chris if you could recommend some puzzles or do a video about some puzzles in different price ranges, maybe a series? I would love to watch.
I can't say I'm the most avid watcher of your channel, but i deeply enjoy your content. Compliments to all you've accomplished
"Hey man great puzzle but I wouldn't buy it. Thanks for saving me 700 pounds..."
For somebody that is a professional at deceiving people he sure is honest.
And to be honest i would rather pay 700£ for this one then the 10k made in wood with all those empty boxes coming out. I belive it was a collab he did with someone else. Not sure what its called. 💁♀️🤷♀️
🔥🔥🔥 these fan made puzzles are amazing! Great job Phil! Can’t wait to see the next one!
That was a fantastic puzzle and the fact that he made it on a 3D printer makes it that much cooler. Love your puzzle vids Chris, keep em coming!!

Great puzzle-solve and review - best 15 minutes of my day, for sure. Thank you, Chris; keep up the good (and fun) work!

I think that was an amazing effort to create that puzzle. Being an original idea, and where he could go from this great beginning nobody knows, but i agree with Chris that at 700 Pounds, i would expect exquisite fine materials, some gems or whatever! Seriously, though, the creator of this Snow Block hopefully has a great future in designing intricate puzzles for us all to enjoy. Thank you for the great content!
Love you Chris keep up the good work

"I just realised my second mic wasn't picking up any sound, I have a really good mic......".
I Thought Chris cut audio for a laugh, turns out my headphones just carked it at the perfect time lol
A huge misconception about 3D printing is that it's plug and play. A lot of 3D printers work right out of the box, but when it comes to designing and printing your own things, it can be extremely costly to get it right. Tolerances get out of spec and temps vary. In my opinion, a product born from fine woodworking and metalworking may outlast a 3D printed product (depending on what's used to print with) but it takes a similar knowledge base to be able to make a product. I've been 3D printing for 8 months now and I've had to learn so much about CAD, slicing, printing, materials, temps and safety. None of which was easy or plug and play. I would pay $700 for that puzzle, knowing the amount of work that went into it.
The design process can be hard/costly regardless of the medium. But once you have the process figured out, mass producing a 3D printed object is significantly easier than that of woodwork. Not. The. Same.
What a nice puzzle! Thank you for video Chris!
Congratulations and it is an intricate puzzle. Surprised about the price though. Looking forward to the next puzzle!

Hi Chris, please do a follow up video on Snow Block because you didn’t actually solve the puzzle yet. I got box 3 of 99 yesterday. By now the creator has included clear rules that Snow Block is supposed to stay FLAT on its feet and NOT be shaken or flipped over. When you got the prize snowflake by picking up and shaking the puzzle, you actually missed a whole bunch of steps and got lucky. I really love this puzzle and think it deserves your revisit and a complete video. Thanks Chris!

I don’t think you should talk about the unfair price after the “radio puzzle” lol.
That was a handcrafted work of art with the added functionality of being a puzzle. This was 3D printed plastic with a few springs... Not. The. Same.
@@FoxOko I mean, at the beginning Chris read a letter from the creator saying he had "200 man hours of designing, 80 hours to print, and 2 days to hand assemble" that's a lot of time and effort.
It may not be handcrafted or has exquisite materials used into creating it, but it's still art in the form of a puzzle nonetheless.
Scott Shapiro “work of art”? The simple box from the wood for a $1000? Nah, i`d say ”work of greed”.
@@thenameisaly and it takes a lifetime to master wood and metal craft, not just a couple months with a weekend hobby. The work that went into this is AMAZING for a first time puzzle designer. But stop pretending this is anywhere close to the same thing. ("80 hours to print" yeah.. he clicked a print button gj?)
@@FoxOko might not take as much skill during the printing process but do u know how much electricity those printers take up on one 80 hr printing job? 😱 Gotta think about allll the costs that go into making a product, not just the time/skill spent assembling ✌️
