Yeah this was a little bit to much for some fans, like this was little bit cheesy. so yeah, it would have worked better with the original trilogy better. Mainly because the originals just happen to be the most liked among fans, also it allows more freedom as far as storytelling goes. (Not every trilogy has unexplored years in between the movies.) Plus (in my opinion) it would have been so much better to see Darth Vader (my second favorite character) and Luke Skywalker (my fifth favorite character) fight up there instead. Also in my opinion, the Empire is and can be far more intimidating than the First Order. So yeah, the Galactic Civil War Era would have been a MUCH better decision.

For everyone planning to go here, don’t get your hopes up. Don’t get me wrong, it was the COOLEST experience I’ve ever experienced in my whole entire life. It literally felt like we were in the movie doing side missions, being a part of the main story, helping the resistance or the first order and helping Rae and Chewbacca escape along with so many other things.
But If you are going thinking your gonna cosplay and feel that AMAZING feeling of carrying around your light saber and your awesome cosplay outfit while going on the missions…..then your dead wrong. Absolutely NO LIGHT SABERS ALLOWED, NO MASKS ALLOWED. And if you have these out, expect to be approached in the most aggressive manner. Even when you are calmly just walking around with it turned off. What makes me so mad is that they SELL high quality EXPENSIVE light sabers.(for example you can only buy 2 per person and me and my nephew got 4 custom built light sabers but us totally at around $1,300) but the second you have them out, you are gonna get approached by the staff like you have a real weapon. Half of the staff will say it’s okay as long as you don’t turn it on, some of the staff say it’s okay if the blade is out and a lot of the staff say no light sabers at all. Don’t get me wrong, I can understand they are worried light sabers will be swung by kids and hurt somebody but AT LEAST let us carrying them. They should have a “no swing rule” or a “don’t turn your light saber on but you are more than welcome to walk around with it to feel apart of the story.
It makes me so mad they want to make all this money off of selling them and then as soon as you get them out, you get in trouble. I don’t even collect light sabers, I only bought them for the purpose of being immersed from the story at the hotel just like everybody else who bought one, only to be told you have to put them away the instance you take them out in a calm manner just to walk around with. It’s every kids dream to walk around with a light saber while your at the galactic star cruiser. I’m 26 years old and my Star Wars hobby died when I was 12 but the hotel sparked that love for Star Wars since it was so immersive but to be aggressively approached just for holding it safely while walking around just made me very upset and scammed for $1,300….

The floor needs to be a raised surface - metal grills or something similar, with some give to it, some sound? Because the theory is you are on a ship, so the floor won't be so solid like concrete. The second is the accoustics as you walk down the corridor - there is too much of an echo. And ok my experience is only from the big screen, and for movie audio reasons the sound quality will be better, but I think they need to bring that into the real life experience because naturally the big screen is what we are comparing it to.

It's official. It's closing lol. Instead of making it more affordable they just scraped it. Amazing

This is like Disney's warped grooming idea of a budget cosplay convention held at at a SPACE MOTEL 6.

What the actual crap does "grooming" have to do with it?

My cousin saved up for an entire year to have enough money to spend a night here and it's already shutting down! 😂😂

I wish they just had a regular cruise ship or hotel where cosplay was expected from passengers so you could just experience the Star Wars universe as a regular person. Someone mentioned being sad that they couldn’t walk around with the expensive lightsabers they bought and I agree that’s bs for this price. Maybe it could have the OPTION to do storylines, like if you attended specific events (and paid extra for them), you could have experiences like this. It would be so cool to do clone trooper training like at Kamino and then have a VR experience practicing it. Or play that hologram chess looking game at the casino. Or have a lightsaber class series where you do legit lightsaber training every day and it gets progressively more difficult each day, like akin to a crash course of fencing and at the end you “fight” your classmates. There could be a padawan training series for kids!! Which would also give parents a break. Maybe for a couple hours each day they have multiple “excursion pod” options (like an actual cruise) for example to Endor to visit Ewoks and then have an experience fighting storm troopers there, like an interactive Star Tours. It would be even cooler if you could rent special equipment to use during it, like part of the price to do that excursion is that and you’re expected to have tools to do certain things like maybe the actor or virtual protagonist needs a mechanic tool and you are the mechanic so you have the tool like in the power systems part of this vid. They could have an arcade with those battle pod games, the pod racing games, all of the Star Wars games you can think of. If Disney wants to hire me to help design it lmk 😂 anyways I def agree this specific experience shown here should be like a 4 hour dining experience.

Yup, make it like a renn faire, we don't need drama, just people drinking star wars drinks, hanging out in cantinas, etc
