When you are lazy to google, here is this guy who will draw it for you.
NBA6Fan but we hope his sources are better than random websites on google
back in days people would search in books which was a big pain in ass, now we're just lazy to google. lol
NBA6Fan hah👍😂
turn to Christ and forsake your sins
LMAO and yet you are here watching it. If you believe what you say, then using Google would be lazy instead of going to a library. FYI CZcams is one of many sources people use to share information around the world.
This is the most underrated channel on youtube
no coldfusion the most underrated channel in youtube
Repent for your sins and believe the gospel of Jesus Christ

1:56 u misspelled protein
Thanks henry.
it's all good I like your videos.
+Henry rivera
*misspelt. It's an irregular verb, like light. No matter the destination, or what's "commonly used" where you are. Since we're being technical lol
miloradvlaovic oookaeee my bad my bad
henry rivera While it is more correct to use "misspelt" that was a joke lol. I was being ironic :)
"Protien" @1:55 :) besides that I enjoy all your content and the good presentation ! Nice work !!!
Love your channel....and you spelt protein wrong at 1:55. Thank you for all the hard work you put into compiling such positive & potent content!
Ok?
@@Gaylord69420this was commented 6 years ago, he’s long gone
damn 85 grams sounds so not enough
I know. Most trainers say take 1 gram per bodyweight but that doesn't make sense to me since total muscles on your body is less than total body weight. I stick to .7 to .8 grams of protein per body weight and take more protein just to control my appetite. However protein seems to be the most expensive of the three macronutrients so it's cheaper to find a good protein powder to supplement with.
bodyweight what? kg or pound? seesh...
+comedyman112 0.8-1.0grams of protein per pound of bodyweight will work great. For example, a 200lb man would want to consume 160grams (0.8x200lbs) - 200grams (1.0x200lbs).
lol, i only eat 1 gram protein/kg bodyweight (around 75gram protein) daily and grow just fine both in muscle and strength, i've been lifting for 4 years
Same here. Protein is so overrated in the fitness industry (too much bro science going on). I've been on 85 grams of protein a day and i've build muscle just fine.
His videos are so usefull
My pe teacher loves this channel
I'd love to see you do a video on the vegan diet for getting healthy/in shape :)
nice video .well done
hey there l just love your video channel because u tell us how our body work the right way now? that's good
very hard to keep up but overall helpful
Thank you. 🌹
Thanks
Love the illustrations and break down! Was a little hard to follow for my middle school students, talking a little too fast.
amazing video
thanks
I have a question for you how do you explain the weird trend in views in your videos some have a 100k or more some videos only get 2k views
great vedio..🤘
Thanks!
what is better for muscles ...routine or different exercises every week..?.please make a video about this
Make a video about stretch marks x(
Stretch marks are basically what it means. Your skin is stretching because of the muscle and fat stored
Yes i want that too!
There a skinny guys with strech marks
they're probably very tall
What about strech marks from losing weight?
I wish this guy made more in-depth videos. As well as citing more sources.
Can you do a video on tracking Macros and how they can be used ?
fast moving life....hard work all day. give me some insite on good foods to bring to work to keep me energetic and powerful
+alan strumolo A quick insight would be carb-dense foods and caffeine. Any that will uptick your carb source as well as inhibit fatigue-inducing hormones (ie. caffeine). Check back in the future for a possible video on this topic!
AAAAAwsome vid, i have been so unsure about how much protein a day is enough. Thanks!
+MrMushroomish You got it! Any other fitness topics you might be interested in seeing a video about? Please don't hesitate to share. Thanks!
+MrMushroomish Do you weightlift? if so whether cutting fat and building muscle or just gaining a ton of muscle high protein intake is important, around 100 grams a day0
+choppedfox x yeah i do, but aint 100 grams a little much? and how should i get all that?
+Picture Fit I would still love to see a video on how many sets one should take when building mucle and/or strength (attempt 3 i think)
Definitely on the list! We're working on cranking out more videos frequently this year and this topic is definitely up on the list. Be sure to keep checking! Thanks for your suggestion and if you have more, please feel free to share.
Amazing
hey, pls make a video about what to eat after a workout to make gainz
It depends
Make a video on ZMA very interested in that
I've been following the Agoge Diet for a couple of months and have built so much muscle. Just wanted to share for those feeling stuck with their muscle building.
Agoge diet works great, I've been using it for about 3
Can you please make a video about the differences (in bulking and cutting) of herbal protein (for example the one comming from peanuts) and animal protein (the protein contained in milk, eggs, meat, etc?).
I did a little research, and many people actually believe that the herbal protein is not as "effective" as animal protein, so we should better count only the animal protein in our daily intake. Is that true?
Have you done a video on lactic acid yet and said if its a good or bad thing? If not, you should :)
this video was very useful! do u know about PDCASS?
Do a video of protein foods
Could you make a video about counting macro nutrients and if it is beneficial or not
Hi picturefit, I'm trying to shed a few pounds and also put on a bit of muscle (I'm skinny fat). I'm doing cardio as well as resistance. I'm also taking care of my diet. Is 0.8g/kg per day protein enough for me??
Hi, can you make a video on about mass gainers? Thanks!!!
gram/kg or gram/pound , this dilemma haunts me , there are a group of people on each side of the spectrum. Why it concerns me because it makes a HUGE difference .
considering 1gram of protein / lb or kg / day
If i take an example of a 200lb or 91kg man , his daily protein intake in terms of per pound would be 200gm but if its per kg it will be 91gm.....you see the difference here? It's absolutely insane.
Apart from that it's a great video.
When your body builds muscle, does it make more muscles or just make the ones you have stronger
Baller Ten lmaooo
I have a question: I hardly have protein in my diet, my muscles might not grow but how come I can make my muscles more efficient if I hardly eat protein..
And if it makes more muscles, then can you get more fast twitch or slow twitch fibers based on how you train?
i think towards the end theres a misspell but otherwise great video
A lot of sources have different values for the amount of essential vs non essential amino acids and only list a total of 20 amino acids, can you explain this? Is the data out dated?
can you do elliptical vs treadmill in effects on cardio Endurance and effects on the musclt
Could you do a video on cannabidiol or cbd?
Does protein intake also depend on intensity of workout and how much you break ur muscle tissue
Essential amino acids can come from vegetables as well. The myth that vegetables don't have all the essential amino acids was created by beef manufacturers like 50 years ago, back when meat was expensive people didn't eat a lot of it. Just putting this here because I know a lot of people still don't know any better.
How much protein can your body digest in one meal? Is eating 30g/sitting every 3 hours ideal?
I keep track of my macros, i'm training in boxing 2 times a week and i lift heavy another 2, only compound excersices. I eat 1g per pound =155g of protein a day, my carbs are at 181g and fats are 70g. Total 2000 a day (cutting 375 kcal a day) Do you thing i should add more carbs and reduce fat? Im trying to get as lean as i can, about 10% would be nice..
Actually the 0.8g/kg measure is the MINIMUM amount for NOT LOOSING muscle. But if you want to maximice muscle growth, the optimum number you want to get closer is more like 2-2,5g/kg. Some people go even for 3g/kg.
Excelent video btw :)
Does cooking chicken in pressure cooker , deplets or destroys the protein or other macro nutrition due to pressure?
is soya protein helps in muscle building..is it ok to take instead of supplements..?
i think he ment to say 185 g . And it varies to different weights u need minimum .7g per pound of weight, the more leaner u are the more u need cause u dont have enought fat in your body for ur muscle to use so u need more protein to maintain or even build them .
I eat 2.3g of protein per kg of bodyweight. it is still not easy to bulk, and you say I should eat the half amount? How shure are you about this?
what is the order of break down-carbs,fat and proteins in diet and fat stored in body.
suppose I eat less carbs so then will energy be derived first from protein in food or fat stored in body or from muscle breakdown ??
1:54 PROTIEN
guys upload a video about fat burner
Can you obtain all necessary amino acids from plant based protein sources?
Can You make a video of how BCAA ( brainched chain amino acids ) effects your body
I love protiens too.
how about the 1 gram of protein per pound of bodyweight recommendation ?
What about protein shakes? Plz make a vid about it
+John Smith No it's not. Fucking dump.
I want to hear about mass gainer
you spelled protein wrong at around 1:55 unless I missed an inside joke or something
+yiric4 Definitely a mistake. We caught it after the entire video was finished and unfortunately could not go back. Will definitely leave a note on that!
are you sure is 0.8 gr of protein per KG? I think you meant per POUND
Nah, it's KG. If you're a routine lifter, then yes, you should be consuming more closely to per pound.
what do you mean by routine lifter? I follow a programme that consists of 3 workouts a week, so do I consume 0.8grams of protein per pound or kg of my weight?
6 days of resistance training + 1 rest day but go for hiking or playing sports.... then ur body would need that much protein to maintain ur physique. 3 workout a week ....i think still better than doing nothing lmao
Well, a nutrition expert told me to take 0,83 - 1,5g / Kg of my total mass or 1,2 - 1,8g / Kg of my lean mass for building muscle
how much protein maintain muscle mass while cutting, though?
0.82g/lb has been the max a natural athlete will need, for both bulking and cutting.
Whey protein vs plant based?
So I thought u need 1-1.5g of protein per lbs of bodyweight to build muscle .. this works out at only 85g whilst the other formula works out at roughly 200g.. pretty big difference
Yo, add your sources would be a good idea
I just consumed 90g of protein in food and a shake, i walk and run alot and carry heavy stuff but I keep being skinny no matter how much I eat😖😖😖😖
Lift
Maybe you have or had a bad form in lifting
Did something change after a year?
So I Need nearly 80 G protein per day ? Btw I'm 96 kg is that right correct me if I'm wrong ^^
1:56 is protein spelt wrong?
Is there a study that researches, if a plant based diet works for muscle growth as long as you supplement esential amino assids and maybe b12?
The body is able to transform everthing into fat. Why not the other way around to meet his needs?
make video about puffy face
i took about 200g or more of protein everyday, is that okay? I'm doing high protein, low fat no carbs diet. Please anyone explain to me if i'm doing this wrong i really want to learn if there's a mistake here
Asra Adam how much do you weigh?
as much as i read and saw on the internet, as a person who does workout at least 3 times a week, i need to consume 1.5 gram of protein per kilo. i don't know what to believe /:
Dont believe these misleading guidelines put out there by the fitness industry they just want to sell you their powders man. I'm doing just fine on about 70 grams a day, not losing any weight but gradually getting bigger
Except there are several peer reviewed studies showing that a larger protein intake is beneficial when wanting to build muscles. The recommendations from people who actually study this and who have no links to the fitness industry are that one should consume about 1.8-2.4g/kg body weight of protein per day to maximize the effect of your training. When bulking one can be closer to 1.8g/kg and when cutting one should aim for 2.4g/kg. This being said, of course you can still build muscle on a lower protein intake, but the rate at which you do so will be suboptimal.
@J C Laakso:
Can you link to those studies?
Because there is actually such a thing as "too much protein":
It puts stress on your kidneys, even drains your bones of minerals, and promote cancer cell growth. Dehydration and fatigue can also be a side effect, even weight gain:
www.hindawi.com/journals/isrn/2013/126929/
Yes, there may be side-effects to a high protein diet, but probably not below a protein intake below 3.5g/kg body weight when it comes to healthy people. Different standards apply when it come to peope with pre-existing health problems, but lets stick to healthy individuals.

+Matan Sabag
The amounts he gives are the same ones taught in biochemistry, or physiology courses in the universities ww.
The pervasive claims of 1+g/kg are something that appears only online, not in official textbooks or literature. It seems this myth is fabricated and perpetuated by protein powders industry as an attempt to sell more.
Excessive protein will not be stored, so you can tell by yourself. If you go to the bathroom for #2 when taking 1.5g/kg more than usually, then it should be evident it's too much. Indigestion, aerophagia, flatulence and fatigue may also occur as symptoms of taking too much protein in your nutrition.
I aim to eat between 1,5-2g protein per kg. There is a menno henselmans research that there is no need to take more than 2g protein per kg. But ye 0,8 per kg is okay to maintain healthy regimen. :D As NBA6Fan says, when youre lazy to google, here is the guy who will draw it for you haha :D ty bro helpful a lot
okay. so if chicken in 100 gr. has 27 gr of protein.. my ideal weight is 90 kg. i should take ?
If your goal is 90KG ( that's my goal too! ) I would say, to be safe take 120 grams ( = 450 grams of chicken ) What is your current weight ?
0.8 G of protein per kg of weight is for normal average people who doesn't work out
is there a mistake in this video? if im nt mistaken the recommended amount of protein intake for lifters is 0.8g/LB instead of KG, if not 1g per lb
0.8g/kg +20g of protein for lifters is still low though..
+Gym Life Yeah, but the recommended amount was referring to normal people who don't workout. As far as athletes, the +20 grams seems insufficient if they are regularly lifting weights, but that isn't part of all or even most athletic programs.
I think I'll still to the 0.8 grams per lbs while cutting and bulking, up to 1 gram per lbs. Seems to work well.
+Gym Life Unfortunately, there are no unequivocal approach to protein intake. Some are as low as 30 grams per day and some are upwards 200 grams. Admittedly, the video does take a much more conservative approach but factors in general population into the equation. For athletes, undoubtedly more protein is required, same goes with powerlifters and bodybuilders.
Arn't there only 20 amino acids that the body uses?
at 1:53 he writes "protien" lmao
Picture Fit so is it that low the amount ok protein intake daily cuz i thought that was .8g per pound of BW
I could never do videos like these. My handwriting is so terrible.
Vinny Mac same here. haha
Talk about a vegan diet, is it good or bad? i think that's an interesting topic
+Iván Bandini Hdz Will put that on the video list. Thanks for the suggestion!
85 grams gonna leave you lookin all sucked up. I always followed 1.4 grams per pound. So roughly 200-250.
how do you do that ?
is boiled chicken better or grilled chicken ?
Whichever you can eat more consistently. Mixture is fine as well.
