That’s where getting your neighbors on board with you and your strategy of growing deer. With that you can have a great hunting neighborhood.
My brother in laws neigbor did that. Asked him to let these two bucks get bigger a few years. Both decided they will. This year, both of the neighbors kids shot them opening youth day ☹
It’s fishing season now, but I just got an urge to hunt deer and I can’t, so I’ll watch these guys😂
We own 13 acres of woods in Central Minnesota and our deer population is so over hunted. Between poachers and group hunters that are in large numbers, the genes have dwindled and the oldest we see is 3 year olds. We have learned a lot from your channel, from the black rack and extinguisher to food plots and waterholes. Thank you for helping us! Hopefully we can get our population up in the next few years!
Recently me and my cousins have been growing some nice swamp bucks here in SC. It’s been 3 years and we are watching deer really grow into their own frames. Our biggest hurdle has been the dog hunters on the neighboring property who always some how end up killing deer on our property where they are not allowed to hunt. They’ve taken some nice 8s and 10s from us. We’ve had talks with the club owners but they aren’t receptive to the idea that it’s not their property to hunt. This is 4th generation family land. This year we have come to agreements with them that consequences follow if they are caught again poaching our deer on camera. Looking forward to a great remainder of the season we will get after it in the offseason and really have an amazing next season. I’m tired of seeing the big ones go we’ve been growing for years now.

Early in the deer season we saw this huge buck. That was the only time we ever saw him. So we just kept hunting and hoping for a shot at that buck. Last week we went shed hunting and we found him dead. He was huge me and my dad think he is like 150’s 160’s. So now we are just hoping he bread some of our does.
