These are pretty sweet enclosures. I bought the tall for my strawberries. Ill mist down the enclosure in the morning and when I get home about 9 hours later there is still drops of waters on the bromeliads. Holds humidity great

I recently got two P.Terribilis in a Exo 24x18x12 and so far they are doing really well, I scrounged up a lot of different plants and customized the background. I really love these frogs, they are so smart!

Hot tip om the tubing, works with any tight tubing. 1st find something to flare out the edge of the tube like a funnel or wood handle or something that slightly fits in the tube. You can use a heat gun or hair dryer in a delicate manner to heat the tubing (especially with a heat gun). Then press it gently onto the item to flare it out.
Test it to the tube fitting and repeat if needed, you want it cooled for the most part when you test it. though some residual warmth can help, you dont want it hot. The only easy explanation is "science".
I'm really looking forward to getting some Dart Frogs, they are just wonderful!
If you put the end of the tubing in some hot water for a couple of minutes, it will soften it up and allow you to slide it on the male connector very easy and as it cools, it will shrink back and create a tighter seal.

Ohh I love this! SO much nicer than using plastic on the lid to keep in humidity that constantly falls off etc. I know a couple of tree frogs I would love this for.

Some clever tricks on this tank set.
I don't even have frogs but I am very impressed lol I wish there was something similar with the lid setup and the cable clips for my snake tank. One day I will buy something fancy like this but for now DIY lol thanks for the great video!

Omg this is amazing. My sister wants to get some dart frogs, and this line looks perfect. I could see gecko enthusiasts using this too for bioactive enclosures.
Wonderful and yes, I agree! The tanks can definitely accommodate some other really cool herps for sure! My hope is that the specialty pet community takes a huge liking to the tanks and they make larger models as I would LOVE a 36 long for my turtle E.T! ☺️

Honestly I think the tree frog model would be perfect for a crested gecko! It'll help maintain the relative humidity :)

I've personally always liked exo terra because of the two doors, usually when cleaning the tokays enclosures i have one or two on the backside of one of the doors lol

I don't believe you have mourning geckos or not, but I have three babies that I've been wanting to add to my future dart frogs bioactive enclosure. Normal exoterra's have gaps to large from them, so I used a thrive one which had one door like these. I recently realized that the gap between the door in the corner may be big enough for them to squeeze out of, and I'm not willing to lose them. Do you think this tank has any gaps or cracks large enough to escape from?
Did you use solely just the substratum? I would love to know and how you are liking it? (Plant growth/aeration/drainage)?
Yes I did! It’s working so well! The only thing is I recommend you dress the surface with a lot of leaves or allow the carpeting plants and moss to takeover before introducing frogs and the substratum can stick to the frogs and stress them. Other than that it works really well as a stand alone substrate or a mix!

Carefully heat the tubing and then install onto the ribbed end of the fitting. Will shrink back as it cools and just makes installation easier.

Love these types of innovations! What sizes will they do? The minimalist idea of hiding the cables and pipework is great as is the drainage. Even down to how they added a grate over the drain to stop large debris coming through!
Are the feet taller to allow the pipework to come out? As I believe under my existing exo terra there is only 1/3 an inch or so.

is it fruit fly safe?
Don't dart frogs get their poison from plants they eat? How do you find these plants and grow them in the terraium? What happens if the frog doesn't get any more poison? Do they lose the toxins? If so, do they change color?
You probably know the answer by now but they simply aren't toxic, only wild ones are. No change in colour.
And it is from ants and spiders and no change in anything except no toxins

Hey Dion it's me again I got the shed off my cresties eye but I have another question how do you keep your tank really humid because it seems my tank drys out fast and I will be at home during summer but after I go back to school and I'm wondering how will I keep her tank humid if I am gone most of the day.
use really moist substrate like eco earth and add moss and make sure it's always nice and moist. you can also cover a part of the mesh lid with aluminum or plastic wrap to trap more humidity. you can also add a big water bowl and overall just mist like usual
But will she still be able to breathe in the tank and how do I get rid of the smell in the tank?
@@teresawaas6666 yeah they can still breathe with no problem cover about half of the lid. the smell idk i've never had any problems with smell

As Alan suggested, you should try to keep your substrate (coco fibre is a great option) nice and moist. You can also make sure you must your enclosure once or twice a day to help amp up the humidity too!

You aren’t an idiot! You have to buy them through a distributor! Exo terra doesn’t sell their products to consumers directly :).

Aren’t they poisonous ?

The dart frogs? No. Their toxicity comes from what they eat in the wild; fed standard feeder insects in the pet trade they're completely harmless.
