I've had one for a few years (it only gets used for a couple hours at the weekends) and it works quite reliably for a cheap knock-off. I won't suggest it if you're using a chainsaw heavily, invest in sthil, huskavana or oregon for heavy use; but it works well for on off domestic. The fuel mix is 40:1 but has a fair amount of leeway, although it does drink like a fish. Only problems I have had is in the last couple of months where the oil and fuel pipes have perished causing leaks and the spring of the pull cord has slipped. Comparing it to my Husky, the P1 has parts that are made cheaper and not fit for as much use. It is very much a "get what you pay for", but again for small domestic use its much better than I thought.

    Hi David,
your words have filled me with dread! In the past I have always bought Stihl or Husqvarna but was convinced by someone to buy one of the above.
To be honest, I was shocked at how inexpensive it was to buy (under £120) but bought it anyway. I am using it for the first time over the weekend and hope it works!

Just bought one via Amazon. First one the circlips holding the chainbrake together sheared off with the vibration and shed the spring, making the brake inoperable. Amazon replaced the saw and the same thing happened to the replacement. Those retaining circlips are not fit for purpose. I would look elsewhere for a chainsaw. This is just a badged far eastern sourced product that is not fit for purpose.

I have the hyundai hyc6200x it has 40:1 fuel mix. Left some fuel in in the summer and it would not start in December. Took the carb out to clean following Adrian advice on how to take it out. Needed a special tool to adjust the carb as it's not supplied. The unit worked for 1h last Sunday then it stopped and would not start. Today was I hoping to adjust the carb with the tool and it started then died, then the cord seem to have broken the plastic inside that turns the thing on. Not impressed. It has been used 4 times in 2 years. See what the guarantee is like.

Always buy a Husqvarna petrol chainsaw, or Sthil
