On Jan. 21, 2017, after the Women's March, people gathered in All Souls' sanctuary to sing Leonard Cohen's "Anthem." Video produced by SkipperFilms.com.
wow!!! I want to come to YOUR church! So incredibly moving! Loved it. Cant wait to share with everyone I know and wish I had the words to that song. Blessings💕🙏🏾💕
Fantastic video, well done. I have shared with Unitarian friends in UK. With Trump in US, Brexit in UK...these are dark days indeed on both sides of the "pond"
Thank you to All Souls Unitarian Church for your welcome embrace after the Women's March on Washington. Many of our two-bus contingent from the Detroit metro area and Ann Arbor, from seven UU congregations as well as friends and family, are among those assembled here for this solidarity sing. There are no words to describe how it felt to sing this song together, with the bells ringing continuously, after a day of standing up boldly and visibly for the rights and values that we treasure for our country. May we all be called to be our best selves in solidarity with all who need us. Indeed, we all need each other. Thank you, All Souls, from the bottom of our hearts. Love from Michigan.
The highlight of the entire day was the participation in this video. After watching impeachment hearing testimony all day yesterday, I needed to watch this again. Hopeful we will get past these dark days soon.
THIS is what America is really about. Thank you for this beautiful and moving film. We use it on our own UU website in southern New Mexico (uuchurchlc.org) where we hope it receives even more view. I'm from the DC area and All Souls is very near and dear to my heart. Keep up the fantastic work!
how nice you leave out half of the Americans who voted for Trump why did you have to ruin what could have been a very touching video and make it just another political hate speech it's getting so old.
Feminism has been a scam to women..but we are still better off than women around the world. Thanks to feminism, more taxpayers on the payroll, and now we get to work and take care of our families. The womens march was more about hate and political posturing than women's rights. I mean, how can you say you care about women and children and support muslims? The two are not blendable, and if it were women and kids coming over it would be different, but most are fighting age men. I voted for Obama but am still harrassed by Dems for voting Trump. We are not red or blue... we are Americans and we need to work together or the Banksters and the elite will be happy to take over, Weaken the family and neighborhoods, which society has done, and you strengthen tyranny. And for the life of me, how any woman can support Hillary after all the stuff she has done to support her rapist, perverted child molester husband! MAKES NO SENSE!!! I hope i never see your light if I have to agree with that evil treasonous woman! Trump is not perfect but he is our President, and NO ONE TREATED OBAMA LIKE THIS, WE WOULD HAVE BEEN CALLED BIGOTS!
"NO ONE TREATED OBAMA LIKE THIS, WE WOULD HAVE BEEN CALLED BIGOTS!" Yeah, Obama and his family were treated WAY worse. Besides you *say* you voted for Obama.

Beautiful
Phenomenal.
I immediately thought of this while contemplating the end to this year's election season. Such a powerful video!!
This is so extraordinarly moving. Is there any way I can download the music?
camera work is distracting.
Who is the pianist?
Gordon Kent, also singing lead vocals.
What a soulful voice. Leonard would have been proud.

We haven't left them out; they are in our hearts and prayers..We are hoping they will see the Light.
