    I've recently bought an 18 plate 1.4t auto. The auto box is very smooth and makes for very relaxed and easy driving. Drove down to Devon last week and found it fine on the motorway. So far I am very pleased with my Mokka x as its got everything that I need in a car.

    Quite happy with my '66 reg Mokka X even though the 1600 petrol engine lacks a bit of punch. What I like about it is all the fitted extras - rear view camera, front & rear sensors, heated steering wheeel and front seats, spare wheel, satnav (although it says I am off road when I enter our road despite being built in 2014), cruise control and normal air conditioning. I agree with you, that it can get noisy on the motorway but tootling around town at 30-40 I find it quite relaxing and noiseless! Oh! and it is a black one - love black!

    We got our Vauxhall Mokka X Griffin 1.4 eco TEC for a little over a year now. Have to admit it’s good as a family car and space in the boot is decent for a getaway trip. I've had my 2017 Mokka X Auto for a couple of months now. Nice little car, quite a smooth ride even if it's a bit tyre noisey, not so sure about fuel economy though. Most of my driving is around town and I'm only getting 32/33mpg. Once I do a longer journey I'll see if it gets better.

    I've got the 1.4 Ecotec version. Had it 4 months now. If you need to get going, 3rd or 4th is best. Very rapid with the turbo. The car came with 41psi in the tyres but I have reduced them all down to 34 psi. Set that way it goes around corners far better. With 41psi it didn't seem quite so sure footed and the ride was bumpier. But its a totally different style of driving compared to my old Corsa (2013). Seeing over the hedges is great.
    While the auto wipers are an improvement on my Corsa. The auto lights are pretty naff though. Just go into a shadow and on they come. As you exit, off they go! Its the same with the Info screen. Dark, light, dark...... But it is very comfortable. The car has also got a fold down armrest with bottle holders in the rear (basically takes up one small seat width).

    For two and a half years I inspected and collected end of lease vehicles for more than 30 lease companies. I drove many Mokka's, petrol, diesel, manual and auto's and I can't recall any not having been supplied via the Motability scheme (I guess Vauxhall must have offered them a good deal), so most using their own money must have given it a swerve. Anyway, compared to almost anything else I drove during that period I considered them truly hateful. The early versions had an awful suspension set up which gave a very choppy ride that felt like you were going down the road on a pogo stick. This was vastly improved with the facelift model, as was the quality of the interior. Just my opinion, but I think you can do a lot better for the money. The commentator on this video said it feels like a small car...er, that's because it is - it's based on the Corsa platform.

    One day the Astra will be an SUV that runs on electric Power. Look at the Mustang crap e for example

      Haha! Yeah, it's kinda already happening isn't it. Looks like you can get an all-electric Mokka, which is a bit like an Astra SUV.

    The only issue with this is the huge fromt pillers. I have a 67 plate auto. Won't be driving a manual again

      Common issue in a lot of modern cars sadly. Get lots of accidents at junctions and roundabouts because people can't see past the pillars! I know what you mean about auto, makes driving a lot more relaxing

    This is just like the Buick Encore .
    A lot of problems with the turbo engine and other engine related issues.
    Not recommend years 2014 to 2017 models .

    On driving my Mocca X Turbo 69 plate for the first time the engine faded as I went down through the gears approaching a roundabout. This happened several times and I rang up my vauxhall dealership only to be told that it was my driving ability. I now turn off my fuel saving switch on ignition but it still is an intermittent fault. I went on the Mocca owners website and discovered that this was a common fault and that the drivers were told that their driving ability was at fault. We can't all be wrong? I have driven numerous cars over the past 50 years and never had this happen to me befoire.
    I won't allow my wife to drive this car as she would not know what to do if the car "faded"in traffic
    Vauxhall know about this problem but have chosen to do nothing about it.
    I suppose someone will have to die before anything is done about this concern.

    • @JJonCars
      @JJonCars  Před 2 lety

      That's not good, sounds like a very strange issue. A shame they're not willing to at least take a look at the car.

    • @fazerrider8872
      @fazerrider8872 Před 2 lety

      This isn't your driving "Ability" but your driving "Style."
      What you describe is auto stop/start which is a feature for fuel saving. I suspect that you put the car in neutral and coast to traffic lights/junctions. The engine will cut as your in neutral and your foot is off the clutch. A simple modification of this style of driving will eliminate the issue for you.

    Honest opinion as an owner the mokka x 1.4t is one of the worst cars I've ever owned. Build quality fair. Bhp fair. Torque rubbish doesnt have any. 6th gear pointless. Comfort fair. Mpg rubbish doest come close to the manufacturers spec barely averages 37 mpg. Stop start system works only sometimes. Parking sensors work when it's either too late or not at all. Windscreen wiper settings work intermittently. No undertrays on any Vauxhall car so the engine bays look as dirty as a 20 years old car after only a few years. Design aesthetic pleasing. For me personally more cons than pros I've been unlucky with mine would not buy another or Vauxhall for that matter. I've owned 2 Vauxhall's and have been disappointed with both.

    Its a small suv. Its not a rally car and shouldnt be compared to one either. And people are generally spoiled carwise. Everything needs to be like a bullet. That bs.

    • @JJonCars
      @JJonCars  Před 2 měsíci

      I get where you're coming from with that. But the idea of reviewing a car is cover all aspects, and then the viewer can make their own mind up. If you're not bothered about handling then you can safely ignore it. What I will say is, that some SUVs handle better than others, and it's therefore worth pointing out.
