The cut looks real dope. When I first started cutting in middle school.i never used guards so to watch the video with barbers using guards and creating guide lines is a challenge to me. I'm getting it and embrace the guards cause as your clientele swells you learn very quickly that everyone doesn't want a bald fade. Thanks for posting.

I think in general tutorials that have less 'CUTS' in between them, and are close to ONE continuous shot(speed ups are ok) are WAAAAAY easier to follow along with. Something about cutting out a portion just takes me out of the hair cut.
Also, keeping a consistent camera angle helps imo. That could mean just having the camera on a stand in the same location for the whole cut makes it easier, OR on your chest like you did here(that's a good idea).
So this video was one of the best tutorials you've done imo Mr. Bossio(at least ease of following along). The camera location was consistent(on your chest), and it was essentially an entire video with no cuts.

Bossio, you the man .. but honestly you could skip blending guards because his hair wasn't fully grown out.
It looks about 4 days grown out or something like that. When I cut my hair 4 days out, I notice I don't have to use every guard cuz my hair is at the right length
NOW, because you DO indeed got skillz, if you made a similar video but with someone whose hair is for sure grown out - then I'll believe, lol.

When should use the 1/2 guard then?
Avner Chaim when you aren’t as talented as Bossio, the 1/2 guard is a must. I’ve tried and the results were less than spectacular.

It's harder to fade with a fade blade but if you use the taper blade then it's easier to blend to the 1 without a guard
