Actually that's FGO in a nutshell. You get a grail in Singularities and sometimes from comedic events.
Heck Drake herself tried to give her grail like it was nothing immediately. But of course it was not the grail they were looking for so they gave it back.

it's funny cuz Holy Grail in every Fate has different shape and size; in stay night it's more like the energy itself that's called Holy Grail, but in Grand Order it's literal chalice.
Technically it described throughout the entire fate series that it a clump of condenesed magical energy that can grant wishes though the fuyuki greater grail is fucked by angra and later get dismantled by waver and rin the fgo grail for the most part except the one given by cas gil are described as mass produced lesser grails still have a fuckton of magical energy but not as power as the greater grail giving by cas gil they take form of cups because there normally formless mass of magic energy but due to responding to the perception of people they take on a cup shape
You can also add Shuten to servants who actually used it properly! I mean, the original was really a drinking cup, that's his lore, the cup used by Jesus in the Last Supper, which then was used to collect his blood, true, but that doesn't change the original purpose and use it had, and then the fact Jesus himself asked to drink wine "as his blood" in said Last Supper, meaning it just became literal. The ones who use it incorrectly are everyone else and Musashi...

To be fair he used the snakeskin that was made after he got the herb my guess is that the grail in that war summoned a version of him before he mellowed out after being humbled by fate. The grail can only summon a version of that heroic spirit up to the time the relic used to summon the heroes is attached to.
But yes his luck sucked completely when he got Gilgamesh the Archer King of Heroes.
@@kendrickbohringer9584 Doesn't Mordred from Apocrypha disprove that idea, seeing as she was summoned as the traitor version using a fragment of the round tablet which should've summoned a younger mordred who was still loyal to arthur if summoning's limited in that way?
@@whiskeyhound im not sure if the round table was destroyed during Mordred's war. Or after. But I believe that the table itself was intact through Mordred's life and even itself lived throigh the life of King Aurthur so since the relic went past Mordred's death it summoned her as she was. Also she was summoned with the greater grail which was far more powerful than a lesser grail which summoned Altaria so the rules may not be the same since it is so much stronger. From what I've seen they never go into HOW and why particular servants get into their classes. Considering Cú from Bladeworks could also be summoned as a caster as seen in Grand Order.

Yeah, it's a bit screwy with the summoning since it seems like even with a catalyst and a favoured class, Shiro using Avalon could've accidentally summoned Richard the Lionheart, Artoria Lily and maybe lancer artoria and saber alter instead of the Artoria he got.

While he does remember the journey, the current UBW version of him didnt care for the lesson. Thus, the cocky attitude he enforced. Its alos because he reflected the state of humanity that he saw.

聖杯を無造作にポンっと「持ってけ」なんてかっこよすぎだろう。

元々征服王にも臣下なるなら聖杯をあげてもいい、的なことを言っていたので見込みある人や面白い人には優しい英雄王。
Even the outcome is incredibly well done, I have to admit this anime is one of the very rarest to reach the highest mark, remembered for ever.
Mmmmh...to be honest without Gigamesh and Merlin it would have been a cluster of cheap comic gags, it's far from been as good as the titles of the main storyline.
The only Singularities worthy of being compared to them are Camelot and Shimousa

How evil gilgamesh was in the previous series, made him how precious in FGO

He matured, now he's the wise king. Archer is a younger version of him. Also the age (not his age, I mean as in year and such) he's summoned at influences him, so Archer Gil in FSN is actually worse than usual
@@Azerit that's true, but the real reason why Archer Gil in FSN is worse is that during the process of reincarnation after the Fourth War the corruption of the Grail distorted his personality
@@lorenzovismara9385 He wasn't corrupted. In fact, the mud grail had no effect on him since his ego was too great. Staying in a world vastly different from his own for 10 years was what changed him drastically. He hated the experience and it wrecked him.
M B he wasn’t corrupted, he was distorted. Since the Grail couldn’t overwhelm his ego it crystallized its evilness inside him and once Gilgamesh got reincarnated in a human body he slowly started to suffer its influence. That's also the cause of the connection between Gilgamesh and the Holy Grail and the reason why in UBW the Grail tries to absorb Gil after it looses its core and why (after Artoria destroys it) the gate momentarily reopens from his body.

Gil is just the one fangirls and fanboys talk about often, but he isnt exactly the first guy we'd think of when thinking fate.
Female king arthur is the mascot, the world of infinite blade thats just baddass as hell is the background youd give to anything fate related
...Use a grail as a catalyst to summon a servant to fight for the grail? Or do you use the grail to summon Gil to summon another grail...and so on and get Unlimited Gil/Grail Works?
@@germsspices since they tend to use something that belonged to the individual or they used something important (like in Fate Stay night they summoned Hercules by using a piece of his temple) since Gil came in contact with the actual holy grail it could be used to summon him as a Caster

It's not important if it's the true one or a fake, as long as it gathers enough magical energy to to act on a scale almost equal to sorcery

Yeah if you're familiar with the Epic of Gilgamesh (the real life story that Gil comes from) he was a massive asshat before meeting Enkidu and the other versions of him in Fate are him before meeting Enkidu.
