I do my comb through on trash/ recycling night. I also declutter as I do my Zone of the week. I started many years ago when on chemo with young children. I did have to call someone to load and haul items. I also had an auctioneer come a make a major pickup. I was not expected to survive, since this was over thirty years ago. I was used as a storage facility by his ex-wife, gown step children and his ex mother in law that was in a nursing home. I have decluttered ever since. I have been a widow for over ten years and had to cope with the estate. I have a son with me again, he is very tidy artist and has a large nicely finished area.I have gone from a very large 1800s Maryland house to a very little ranch house in Montana. I have had ten garage sales in five years. But not this year since the national health problem. I donated all to a charity raising money for Alzheimer’s( the disease that killed my spouse). I donate to the food bank, humane society, homeless shelter. I have gifting and selling some furniture.Thank you for hearing my long story. My little ranch house is very easy to keep and maintain. You are on the right track! Wonderful about the health coach!

I like the fact that minimalism is not a done deal for you. You create your processes and revisit them to make additional improvements. You recognize that life has seasons and work with them . Your struggles continue but you get better and faster as you resolve them. Momentum is your friend 🤗👍🥳

My teenage daughters are still not on board, but I'm trying to let them go at it in their own way. We went from 3000 sq. ft, 5 bedroom, 3 bathroom to 900 sq. ft, 3 bedroom, 1 bathroom ( 8 of us).
We are converting a shop to a house, but 1st built a guest house to live in
We just moved into the guest house 2 weeks ago. Now I'm doing a second declutter through the boxes that are left in the shop after we moved the essentials into the guest house. I got rid of almost 50% in the declutter before we moved. Ahhhhhh.....I know you know...... 😉 I found your videos I think in march when I was in the midst of it. How refreshing it's been to know you were also on the journey! Thanks again for not making this look easy or glamorous, I appreciate your pain and your victories! I think I'm ready for a budget now, thank you for the reminder that this is also about managing money.

I especially enjoyed your conversation about paperwork. You would not believe the mountain, and I mean mountain of old papers I have to go through. I can no longer manage paper.
