    Thats awsome. Thank you so much for sharing this video. I just built my stand unknowingly used similar dimensions as yourself. However it would seem the ground around mine is not competent and today we noticed that the tank has started to sag on the one side. I was questioning myself and my abilities and turned to you tube for help and found your video. Now I have the task of figuring out how to get it all stabilised and safe again. Any suggestions or references would help. Thanks again. 🇿🇲

    Hi Mark, thank you so much for this video
    Am about to build a structure for my 5000L tank and my pump uses SOLAR. I wasn't sure if i should build a low ground cement/ brick floor or a tall 6m steel structure for it since it's a bigger tank as compared to the 2500L one
    Now am going ahead with the 6m steel structure.
    QUESTION: Would you perhaps know if i will also need a SOLAR PRESSURE pump or not, since the stand will be 6m high?
    Am gonna use the water for both irrigation and household.
    TIA

      you have 2 options, either you add a pressure pump and have no problems or run with free flow and live with what you get?
      Trial and error, if you start without a pump and it works fine, then leave it as it is.

    Why does it have to be so high up? Security measure or has to do with the water pressure?

      @markjansenvanvuren7811  Před 3 lety +3

      Water pressure 1m = 10kpa therefor 6m = 60kpa

      every 1m you lift water you get 10kpa pressure, so 6m =60kpa and I have a 40mm ring feed around my property to get even distribution of water and pressure.

    Is your stand standing on the ground or u dig it in the ground?

      I used a 1 ton winch bolted to the tank stand and then I connected it to my lawn tractor's 12 volt battery.
