I super appreciate the early video on this...you were one of the first out there to show this aside from us during development of the unit. Thanks for taking a chance on KnightDriveTV and one of the most complex things I have ever developed in my life...lol. As a former forced induction fabrication shop, then engine management tuning guy to developing radio/hvac systems....getting this done was TOUGH. The hvac system really tortured me, but so pumped to see folks like yourself out there installing it and running it. More to come for C4, C5 and C6 from KnightDriveTV ahead!
As said by others it looks really clean, but, it doesn’t feel right in there. Plus IMO a touch screen is very distracting when you need to take your eyes off the road to read what function you want. Give me analog any day of the week in any car so I can intuitively adjust my controls by feel. I think these touch screens are PART of the problem of distracted driving.
The best thing about it is all my heat/ac have hard buttons and I have hard buttons on the steering wheel for audio stuff and answering calls. Not much of a distraction when you still have physical buttons for everything you need.

Hey, I just got around to putting the Knightdrive unit in my 13 c6 I replaced the rears and door uppers to jl audio left the factory subwoofers in the doors. I lost 80% of bass and For the life of me I cannot get it back. I was wondering what you set all your audio to. " hpf lpf and bass boost. Including your equalizer. Thank you Martin Ehrlich
I wish you would have let the map load. Could you do a follow up video with a review since you've had it? Or maybe you using it daily with the map. Using Waze would be dope. I bet you'd get a lot of views. I can't be the only wondering about it. I'm right on the fence about buying one of these Thanks either way. Appreciate the video

I am so close to buying but it's a lot of money. (Looks worth it though!). Thanks for any additional insight.
It works through Bluetooth. I usually plug my phone up though to charge. It’s a great unit. Did you see my promo code in the description? It should still work. Also, look at my other video where you can access performance pages with the unit.

It’s a great product. Plenty of room for improvements. I would like to see an adapter made that will work with C7&C8 seats so we can use the ventilated seats via touchscreen. Did you get 2 cameras?
There is a company that sells a sweet mount that powers up from your rear view mirror. No more cords and it comes on automatically with ignition. Sorry I can't remember the company but I've had one for about 5 years and it is amazing with no cord.
Blend mount is the black anodized rear view mirror mount for your radar detector and they also sell a wiretap that connects to a power wire on the back of the rear view mirror.
@@davidnclearlaketx thats interesting. I contacted blendmount. they told me the following "Unfortunately our C6 mounts have been discontinued. They mounted differently then all of our other mounts, and we can no longer get the parts needed to make them. Sorry about that."

I think the idea is good, but to me it just looks out of place in a c6. I prefer an aftermarket double din radio. Nice clean install though.
The C6 is my favorite body style. I’ve just always thought the interior was too outdated especially on my 2013. This checks one of the boxes for me.

Hows the audio quality? Ive had android based units in other vehicles and the Bluetooth/carplay audio quality was terrible.
Audio quality is good. This was specifically addressed for this unit to ensure it was not going to be an issue.
I like it, except for the climate controls being on the screen. That's a pet peeve of mine.
There are physical buttons on the side to control all of it as well. Only the heated seats are screen only.

I removed my plug. I say others still needing that plug remove it from the casing and plug what they need to then stow it away underneath the screen.

At home I was connected to home WiFi and on the road I use my hotspot from my phone.
How long did installation take?
Like an hour and a half with doing video clips.
How does it connect to wifi? Do you need to subscribe to Verizon or something?
You can use a hotspot off your phone on the road or a sim with a data plan. I also connect to my home WiFi if downloading new apps.
where did you end up routing the usb ports to plug your phones in?
I routed them into the center glove compartment area.
