- Yousuf Sajjad, started his career as a volunteer scout at Brentford. He then went on to work for Chelsea and Arsenal, scouting players like Jude Bellingham & Florian Wirtz 🤩
Last year, Dutch club FC Den Bosch approached Yousuf to become their new Technical Director. This made him the youngest Technical Director in Europe 🤯
We met with Yousuf to learn about what goes on behind the scenes at elite football clubs, and what it’s like running a club as a technical director 🤝

When I was coach of Borussia Mönchengladbach U10 and U11, my team played against Cologne. It was the age group 2003. So we often played against Florian Wirtz. Always when we were in front, he at the end decided the game for Cologne. They had a strong team at that time. Interestingly at that time Florian Wirtz was the tallest player of all. Now that he is having such a great career is great. I still remember him as a small little boy. 😊🎉
was he good with headers?
@@harrishkrishna5086 Oh I don’t really remember 100%, but he was definitely good at dribbling and passing etc. But he often made the difference in the games
What were the reasons for him wanting to leave koln? He would’ve gotten first team minutes there quickly.
🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
@@nathanbarnes9373 To be honest, I don’t know. But definitely Cologne was not very smart. 😂 Look at what he already achieved. And actually they put all the work into him. So they actually deserve the praise for developing him. But then they don’t kept him. Not very smart. 🤦♂️
Wow 62 reports on Bellingham from when he was U-12 with over 25 scouts that is some commitment
Yh cuz these guys ain't from football but know ppl..its all money chasing, these guys make alot of money ..n u hear them say they wasn't very good at ball n quit lol n it's a issue if ur wanting to play for love or for money..this guys why we have alot of shit players being picked n really good street players are left behind..I played league 1 n loved it,money was OK but I love ball, not the money..as a 40 Yr old I see a massive change
Abramovich not taking any chances lmao
Sajaad, what a man! He’s actually been grinding for a minute, seen him in action and he’s amazing!
This is the best channel out here!! I've already watched 3 episodes in 1 day, I haven't even done my work 😂🎉 Top tier 🔥
What an inspiration 👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼
Do more of these !!!
Good video 👏
Ma Sha Allah 👏🏾👏🏾
all the best 👍
Great video
Thanks bro for the insights. I will try my best to become a scout too.
Pls Jordon ibe, izzy Brown, Charly Musonda, Darius Johnson or Mukthar Ali next
Really good insight
Huh 🤣on what ,what did u learn from a man who stopped playing football in general cuz he wasn't good lol if u listen to this guy then ur defo under 25
insh'Allah I will become a professional baller
Thankyou RB 🙌
Where do I find real tryouts in England to enter in a academy or a championship club ? I’m 16
Lol it don't work like that, haven't u played local under15 football
U don't just go to academies, u should find a local club n learn grass roots.
You’ve got no chance at 16, choose another career.
Leme try out for once ?
When you listen thru headphone and can hear somebodies stomach rumbling through the mic. no snack at rising ballers or what?
I am sure every scout tried to get their club to sign Bellingham, nothing story.
Big boy like him should be allowed to wear shoes!
Looks like real life Nate from Ted Lasso 😂😂
No disrespect to Yousuf, but this didn't really offer much insight. It was all very surface level stuff with anecdotes I'd expect from any scout. He clearly has an interesting story, but it didn't shine through for me here. Appreciate the effort regardless.
Fault of the interviewer tbh
Cuz he's not from football background, u heard him say he wanted to be a pro lol buy stopped at 18,m8 I played league 1,cuz I love the game, these guys only learn stats lol not grass roots ball..
South Asian? Sounds English to me
Silly people those agents. Looking for players in academies who already have contracts
they will not flourish in Arsenal, btw the scout r awesome
If you havnt played the game or worked in it somehow being a scout is utter pointless, he’s literally unemployed 🤣
Huh? He was getting paid as a scout.
@@mrnumba154 and now?
@Manueleb21 You must be under 16 lol.
He’s a former arsenal scout
And Chelsea
Now a director
He’s successful
But look at the shit level of players come through, these academies are very robotic, like most players
This guy got successfully away from ball, who has he signed or seen who is significant 🤔 there was loads of good talent in league 1 when I played
Nobody wants to see marquee talent like Wirtz, Jude, Foden, Musiala at a club like Arsenal. Stick to Martinelli Trossard and Saka type brutes.
I can't tell if this comment was meant to be sarcastic or deluded
@@makingmiracleshappen Arsenal just isn't an interesting or a big club. Stay in their lane for the best. Rice, Havertz, Trossard, Raya esque business. Not cool players like Bellingham, Leao, Doue, Sesko. Would be career enders for them. I like Amadou Onana to Arsenal in the summer. A striker like Vlahovic or Toney as well. Perfect.

@@KidCudi72 ahh deluded then
Why are there no good south Asian players??
south asian kids aren’t pushed to be footballers, from a young age parent’s normally want them to be doctors or engineers you know, the status quo
lack of good coaches and playing opportunities for young players
@@C2190 Bs they are just not good enough. They do well in cricket though and Amir khan boxing
