I have a theory.
The song is about lying, the prison looks a lot like the palace, the palace is destroyed by Miku's singing and the hands didn't just try to get out, they were trying to get Miku.
So what if the palace is Miku's lie, and she was in the prison all the time? Also the hands may be the consequences of lying, and as the lie became greater, more consequences appeared. And maybe Miku said too much, and her perfect lie was destroyed by her own words. And finally... Miku was sitting on the throne in the palace. Does that mean that she was sitting on the electric chair all time? As it showed up exactly when the song was about to end, it may mean that Miku is going to get her punishment.

She was telling lies and such which i think concludes with the money falling down and the switch between the golden castle and the run down castle. So the throne turned into a deadly electric chair which she sits on. So i think its a deep meaning and showing of her life and lies.

Ah yes a song about getting caught up in what was once an innocent lie and now a giant prison trapping the character's (miku's) soul because they could not brake the cycle of lies they created. This lie doubles as a palace growing bigger and bigger as the lie is something that "looks" beautiful covering up the increasingly dark and dreary prison to the soul. At the end, they stayed with their palace as they were unable to brake their cycle. This resulted in the palace growing so big that it collapsed in on itself revealing the prison behind it. This song is super relatable to almost everyone. Most people have lied > let it build by justifying it as we go > hurt others &/or themselves amounting to immense guilt.

Unpopular opinion: I don’t like any of the covers that have the growl in it (that includes the Miku cover that does)
Miku wasn’t even intended to growl at that moment and while many may think her yell is weak I actually really like it. And to be completely honest, their growls sound a little inappropriate in this song specifically and feel like sandpaper…especially Teto’s and Len’s. (I say in this song specifically because I actually really like Flower’s growl in “Love Ka?” And “Bocca Della Verita”). I’m not saying people can’t enjoy other cover of Ghost Rule, but personally, I don’t like the growls and think they add nothing to the covers lol. And whenever I see people ranking the growls and say how weak Miku’s is I’m just like…of course it’s weak there was never meant to be a growl.

This is what happened after she got deleted in "The Disappearance of Hatsune Miku". Maybe. And Mayday may be the V1-4 Vocaloid user, and the person who deleted Miku after getting tired of her. When she says "If you realize it's me, will you kindly laugh at me once more?" hinting that we always laugh at her high pitched voice. So Mayday is us, the users. Same with the other Ghost Rule Vocaloid, UTAU, etc. versions. So this is what happened when we (the users) deleted them. That's why this is directed to the listener. Because they want to be redownloaded again, but they don't know who's a user or not. That's why there are hands reaching out during 1:14. Those are their fans, wanting them to come back, or maybe lost memories, coming back?
Also you may ask, "Why did she say there were other versions of her/them?" Because there are different versions and updates, also, voice tones. Also, why she said something about a poisoned clown, is maybe because poisoned also could mean spoiled so she's calling herself that, since in all of the versions of "I'll quit singing" the Vocals and UTAUS (etc) they say "I am sick of all these people saying 'Miku is the best' " Or something on those terms. Also she says, "I who've chosen to act spoiled to the end." So she's admitting her being spoiled.
In conclusion, there are many hints and references inside of this song (sorry for this whole theory I just thought of it 😓)
After playing persona this pv seems even better (if you don’t know what I’m talking about the dungeon is based off of the velvet room in persona and the palace like place is based off of palaces in p5. At the end where the palace is crumbling down it’s supposed to take after the palaces in persona destroying itself after you get the treasure)

I have a theory about this song. (Note that this is my opinion.)
The Miku of this PV is the ghost of a monarch (Not sure if it's a princess or a queen but whatever.) haunting a prison cell she used to command, which has all of the vengeful spirits of the people she executed. During some parts of the song, she experiences flashbacks of her in her castle. While the first one is normal, the second onward has her flashback and her reality merging slightly. Eventually, the final flashback shows her death. An earthquake hit, causing her castle to start falling apart. However, that isn't what killed her. Oil was also raining down and eventually, a flammable barrel fell down and (somehow) set the castle on fire, making Miku burn to death. The Electric Chair is the first execution tool Miku used on her prisoner, which is why it becomes visible at the end of the song.
