- Tim Brando, Fox Sports joins 365 Sports to discus this thoughts on FSU wanting out of the ACC, does the SEC even want FSU, his thoughts on what the remaining Pac-12 schools can do to survive, his thoughts on the Preseason AP Polls, and more.
With David Smoak, Paul Catalina & Craig Smoak - Zábava
Tim Brando was the best guest. He took the time to perform a great quality audio/visual interview, rather than from his car/bluetooth/phone or whatever. He was clear for everyone to hear/see. He spoke truth and accurancy. Very enjoyable.
Tim Brando held no punches back! He spoke 100% the truth! If you're a fan of any Big 12 school you've gotta love Brett Yormark. He's done a fantastic job & it's refreshing to finally have some competent leadership in the Big 12 offices.
Much love to Tim Brando. He knows college football. I really enjoyed his looks into the camera when talking about the rankings.
This Baylor podcast is one of the best and most comprehensive programs out there. This was one of the most enlightening, with Tim, ever! Quite an eye opener.
From a Jayhawk: Totally agree this podcast is better than a lot of TV sports shows.
And I am old enough to have known the late great Beno Cook well and Brando nailed him. Best Beno impersonation ever. 🤣😂😆🤣😂😆
👍 to 365 and Mr. Brando for they’re openness, honesty; in not holding back the truth and reality of the CFB situation. My hope is that the 12 team playoff finally instills some sanity.
The Super 2 Conferences will pack the 12 team playoffs because they will have most of the best teams. Especially after the players start earning their fair share of the TV revenue because they can pay them more and they will have the best ones.
After listening to this I just became a big Tim Brando fan
Tim Brando was bringing it 💯
Absolutely love the content that you guys put out. Tim Brando - man, what a legend. Great segment. Subscribed!
Tim is that dude. Just open and honest with tons of information.
Please get him on as often as possible.
+fave for Mr. Brando's 6 minute long rant that is exactly what I feel!
BRAVO Tim Brando! You are one of the few who truly know what you're talking about.
This was the best episode I have seen. Bring him back!
First time hearing this guy on the show and I had to follow him on twitter immediately. Great segment!
Your BEST interview ever....you can see the ULM Warhawk helmet sitting proudly on his shelf and wants the G5 included.
No he don’t. He is an elitist and a sellout like so many others. Hell no. The G5 or non autonomous schools should get at least 2 schools in not just one in the 12 team playoff.
Way to go Brando, give it too them
Wow! Bring Brando on here more often! Agreed with everything he said in this interview!😂
Great segment. 👍
Dude accidentally destroyed 365’s Big Twelve preseason rankings. 😂
that was a really good Beano Cook impression lol
Tim Brando nailed all the 🌭 eater/football beat writers. In my 42 years FWAA, I have complained about exactly the same things Tim says. BYU fans should be so excited that Brando will eventually do a big game in Provo, maybe Oklahoma Nov 11th. Brando is a 10 while Saban's butt kissing lackey Dumbo ear Feinbaum is a 2 and we know Tim was talking about him.
Timmy’s getting fired up over there. I love it.
Brando the man!
The truth is the fact that the networks couldn’t see profit in the PAC due to poor attendance and tv ratings. I don’t understand why this doesn’t soak in.
The poor TV ratings were a direct result of the Pac12 Network being unavailable to such a large segment of the national viewing audience, plus so many games being on late at night. And, as a fan who had Oregon State season tickets for nearly a decade before moving out of state, the late night games probably didn't help stadium attendance either. I know I hated that drive home back to Portland after midnight, often in foggy conditions in October & November.
@@user-wf4ou8dn6y I agree, the lack of Pac12 exposure killed their conference. When I was in the military stationed in GA I was able to watch every Ohio State game on my regular Comcast TV cable package because all the games were available on Fox Sports if they weren't on a major TV network. The B1G Network was a brand new thing at that time but the TV networks figured out how to televise the large B1G brands and import conference games nationally.
Doesn't help when you're relegated to the 7PM slot for television or the limited Pac12 network.
Brando spittin truth
Past 5 years only 4 Universities have made the Baseball College World Series, Basketball Elite 8 and had a 10 Win Football season:
Oregon State
Texas
Michigan
Auburn
Love you Tim!! well said my friend!!
Brett Yormark is not responsible for the destruction of the PAC. He did read the situation well and took advantage of the opportunities that others created.
Destruction of the Big 12? What are you talking about?
@@STC987 good catch.., thanks 🙏
The Pac12 destroyed themselves through their horrible management. Their fans are just looking for scapegoats because they don't want to admit the truth.
@@roris5882 You clearly have no idea what the PAC12 fans think. They/we have been bitching about Larry Scott for most of his tenure. Not sure who the F was carrying his water but somebody was. When fans know the commissioner's name, his poor work and want him gone ---- he must really suck.
@@Redandranger Why did the Pac12 Universities keep Larry Scott for so long 8f he was so incompetent?
Excellent Beano
yeah, some hard feelings inside the SEC about FSU. In fact, Chris Low a longtime SEC reporter kept being pushed about the SEC for expansion. Finally he said, Greg Sankey likes Miami and UNC. That tells you something.
ESPN didn't even have enough money to pay the SEC for a 9th Conference game. That's probably why Sankey was crying to Finebaum about realignment. The B1G negotiated a better TV contract because they already have the escalator clauses built into it to add ND, FSU, Clemson, and UNC to drive it's value through the roof. After that the SEC is in major financial trouble because they will never be able to catch up to the B1G no matter who they add.
The B1G does want FSU and Clemson, along with UNC, UVA, and if it works, Miami. Love Brando and that winged helmet over his right shoulder!
Yup, the fans that are assuming the B1G is going to wait around for the SEC to match them by playing catch-up are living in a fantasyland because that's not how this works. This is big business with Billions of dollars and the future of college football at stake. ESPN couldn't even afford to pay the SEC for a 9th conference game. The B1G already has the escalator clauses built into their new TV contract to add new members. After the B1G adds ND, FSU, Clemson, and UNC then it's over because the SEC will never be able to catch up to them financially no matter who they add.
Passionate, I love it!
Thank you Tim Brando
He is my favorite reporter by far.
1:48 gee he’s psychic! You mean when USC & UCLA said they were leaving he predicted the Pac-12 would dissipate? Crazy. My 97 year old great grandma predicted it too & she died 2 years ago and never watched football.
Bet she was glad to get away from you🤣😂🤣
@@RK-um9tu what are you f*cking 4? That’s the best you got? Really? I’d give you props if it was funny. My neighbors kid is more witty and he’s a 7 year old with Down syndrome.
Brando for college football commissioner!!!
Preach Tim!
Love Brando's conservative views! And telling the truth on tricky dicky Nicky. Go Bluuuuuueeeeee!
Dang, Brando brought it!
As a Tulane fan... Agree 100 percent. Thank you Mr. Brando. You nailed it. That AP ranking is a joke.. They want it to fit their narrative...
Tulane > USC (last year)
Go off on the AP poll. Love it. Hate pre season polls.
-they should wait. Or at the very least pick up where the previous season left off. Just one long running rankings.
- it’s not bleeding heart liberals blaming tv I’ve heard that from most conservatives
It doesn't make any sense to pick up where the previous season left off because many players moved on by graduating or going to the NFL draft and a bunch of new players from the previous recruiting classes take their spots. So there is way to much turnover to do that.
@@roris5882 and yet the same brands are consistently ranked at the top undeservedly and finish unranked, this has never been been about players it’s always about brands.
"it's not bleeding heart liberals blaming tv I've heard that from most conservatives"
Brando's worst comment was throwing in liberals as if that has anything to do with this.
@@Redandranger it’s dumb, they’re dumb, they can’t help themselves
The Beano Cook impression was gold!
Tim Brando ain't BS'ing!! This is a great video! Realignment is ruining college football. ‼️‼️‼️
I am not sure that's true. If the 4 remaining PAC schools are forced into an expanded super MWC, those programs will be rightfully elevated to the 5th position conference. Most except Boysenberry State with the gimmick blue turf are very good academic institutions and they just need a bit of a boost. I tire of watching Bama, Ohio State etc. each week. Many G5 contests are far more balanced and entertaining.
Lol, I love the boysenberry auto incorrect from your device.
@@None-dj8iy - Actually, it is my own purposeful derisive way of saying Boise State. I think the Smurf Turf is an insulting gimmick. You don't see Ohio State painting it's field red. Furthermore, BSU can't even get ranked in Forbes top 650. I mean it's library is made up of Archie Comics and Little Golden Books, it's that bad.
He is 100% correct about Bowden ! Also correct about FSU, they dont have a home in SEC or B10. They have no place to go.
Tim Brando voice of CBS, FOX Sports Jefferson Pilot/Lincoln Financial/Raycom Sports.
Lol I love this Brando guy attitude
👏👏👏 tim brando
The PAC 4 should sue Larry Scott for a billion $
For what? They hired him and have the final votes on what gets approved. They could have easily ousted him at any time along the way. They are just as complicit with the PAC demise as Scott and Kliavkoff.
The school Presidents are the real one to blame as they made poor hiring commissioner choices.
@@htvlogs80 I hear an echo
Does anybody take into account off season moves staff additions transfer portal etc…?
Last year only counts for last year Brando
We do not own Texas lol we have lost 6 straight 😂
There’s only been 31 or 32 schools that have ever won any kind of recognized national championship since 1936
Preseason Rankings are just ranking team talent because the teams haven't even played. That's why the it's ridiculous to actually apply any type of ranking system until at least half way through the season so we have enough data on the teams to rank them properly. The Preseason Rankings often overrank the mid tier SEC schools so whenever one of them beats another they fly up in the rankings and whenever they lose a close loss to each other they call it a good loss to a ranked team to justify keeping them in the Top 25. Ranking Bama so high is ridiculous because they don't have a decent QB, the most important position in sports, and they have struggled at developing a decent passing attack. Bama has more talent then every other team because they have recruited better then everyone but they aren't a complete team and they are turning into ND Jr. The SEC is now a 1 team conference because it's UGA and everyone else. UGA has a cakewalk to the playoffs because nobody from the SEC can challenge them. The SEC definitely isn't as dominant as they used to be.
Tim is right about Bobby
Wow, Tell me we you realy think!
Sec started this with taking Texas & OU. Big12 could always take USF and Miami and push sec out of the market
How would the Big12 push the SEC out of Florida when they already have a large and well established fan base? Then when the B1G adds FSU and Miami they will add the other 2 largest fan bases. The Big12 has no football blue bloods and all their members have small fan bases. That's why they earn less money then the Super 2 Conferences. After the players start earning their fair share of the TV revenue they generate the Big12 will be left in the dust because all the best players will go to the Super 2 to maximize their revenue.
That’s a great Beano impression, but I bet only five percent got it
Smart man but Cal and Stanford are not going to the AAC!
It was the SEC fault for all this
It's backfiring in their faces. The Alliance voted against their plans to monopolize the new expanded playoffs by voting against extending the TV contract to ESPN to prevent them from packing it with SEC teams to benefit themselves financially. The B1G negotiated a better TV contract with more money and better exposure. They already have the escalator clauses built into it to add more members.
I wish he'd tell us how he really feels.
I don’t agree about no landing strip for Florida State. The Big Ten is interested in them along with Clemson and Miami. Lots of talk surrounding that. They are good enough schools. They are good enough football programs. They bring viewers/ratings. They are players to recruit in those areas. I see the Big Ten thinking about 24 teams as their ceiling expanding with those ACC teams and leaving the discussions open with Stanford and Cal and Notre Dame.
Come on man! The PAC12 is not dissolving. They have their own network so they should negotiate a big contract with themselves 😅contract so big the other schools will beg to join. Only thing is that non of your fans could find it on any medias
Brett Yormark is a badass
Follow the money
OSU & WSU caught with their pants down... How could they not even sniff the stench of the PAC-rot?
Maybe those two were just powerless to do anything about it. They knew what was coming.
@@seand1011 They were totally dumbfounded that it happened. They didn't release a statement that they have been working on a contingency plan.... Just deer in headlights
The Bluebloods do get an automatic pass with rankings and their Heisman candidates....it's awful for two many schools and athletes who just want a level playing field, Pro sports is littered with athletes from small schools,....Mr Brando is spot on, also a very good Sports Broadcaster, enjoy all of his games with Mr Tillman, a Great Team in the Broadcast Booth.
Rankings should start after the first four games then let the debates begin.
I agree--- is it - football the only D1 sport that has a subdivision FCS, FBS
True about Scott and Pac 12. How about a billionaire step up and buy ESPN off Disney as in a nose dive, then ditch the contract and renegotiate a new media deal with schools. Look, let Florida State and Clemson and Miami out to the Big Ten. Others to the SEC and Big 12. With a new ESPN media package that dovetails with the other media deals in those conferences, that’s complimentary not injurious.
Actually Timmy Texas has won six straight against Kansas St
K-State swapped beating Texas regularly for Oklahoma
And the schools sat back and watched him do it. The same schools that the Big 12 just invited 4 of to do it all again, but in a new location.
They're anchors
Texas did too if they didn’t have the Longhorn Network. Tech Texas Okst and Oklahoma are in the Pac 12
damn, dont walk on brando's lawn.
But how does he really feel?
It took more than Larry Scott. Blame those that hired him . Very poor selection.
Someone should sue Scott for incompetence.
Not just the hire but the lack of interest in removing him when it was pretty clear how terrible he was.
Now that was a dynamite interview.
💯
ANY preseason Top 25 shouldn’t happen, including Brando’s.
So Brando rants and raves (correctly) about the deck being stacked in favor of the blue bloods, but also says it’s fine for the field to be limited to 16 to 30 schools because their the ones that win the national championships … disconnect?
Also, Yormark DID NOT breakup the P12, that’s a flat out lie!
Insert politics for football and sensible ideas are conspiracy theories
Timmy B. Bogus Buster!
Longest answer ever
The pac 12 commissioner should be fired immediately
He’s doing a fine job
@@STC987 yeah sure his only qualification must've been "old" and "white"
Larry Scott destroyed the PAC 12 its now only WSU and Oregon st left lmao 10 of 12 are gone after this year
would be interesting if the pac4 somehow make their way into the Big12. would be a complete take over of the pac.
Haha the Pac is dead ! ! ! ! unless they merge with the mwc or the Aac
Nothing indicates that is going to happen.
@@STC987 well they will have to go Indapendent than , because the AAC or the MWC are not moving over to the Pac4 cause the pac 4 dont have 34m to pay for each school that moves over so the Pac 4 is dead dead dead dead
For all those people who don't think there is a generational gap between people that tell the truth and not worry about consequences. You're so wrong there is. Most people I see that have platforms in college football that are younger they're mostly sunshine poppers for the team and they do what they think the fan wants and wants to hear. Shameful. You'll have some exceptions of course bud
Go beat a team twice in a row in 96
Tulane gets Ole Miss at home week 2. Mid level SEC team. Let's see if It's all propaganda. Will Ol' Timmy be back on here bumping his gums again when it's not?
FSU will leave 3 years early(2033)
So you want me to believe in you? Tulane is not the #9 team in the country. And kansas state at #7. Stop drinking your own kool-aid. So if USC plays Tulane 100 times you saying Tulane wins over 50 games? Exactly.
Does God love me if I'm gay(
No but only you. He loves every other gay person except you

Dude KSU is 0-6 against Texas in the past 6 years. Is that what you call owning Texas?
Texas is a joke.
