i didnt know Thor was a software engineer
đ€Łđ€Łđ€Łđ€Łđ€Łđ€Łđ€Łđ€Ł
Lol
So I'm assuming that is what Thor did in the aftermath of Infinity War and decided to go undercover as a regular civilian and become a software engineer for Fortnite to keep the seasons and modifications up-to-date for 5 years.
Everyone needs a job.
Lol wtf bro
Programmers are not suppose to have girlfriends

@Mortal Silence bullshit
@Mortal Silence bitch who you lying to - look at your playlists you're literally trying to fucking lose thigh fat and you have higher "standarts"?
now that's a FeelsWeirdMan.
EDIT: the way you wrote your first comment also indicates that your self-esteem is literally 0 since you had to mention you're a woman. Bet it's because of your looks you actually had to specify what gender you are.
@@depralexcrimson destroyed
@@depralexcrimson You're being a complete asshole for no reason at all. Also your points are flawed for two reasons:
1- If someone is trying to lose tigh fat that doesn't mean they can't have high standards, you are very stupid If you think only people with perfect bodies are allowed to have that.
2- The reason she said she is a woman It's because when someone says a man doesn't look that good (when most people are saying he does) people assume that who commented was a man who just can't admit It because of envy.
Also the fact you checked her profile to see what videos she watches It is a little pathetic.

is this an Apple commercial
This is how 95% developers are working
Macs are built on Unix which makes SSHâing, NPM, Git pretty quick to use
linux terminal hahaha
those are just as quick on any other OS
I'm personally not a fan of Apple, but I don't see how them specifically being a multinational in business software would affect what systems they use. In the end, it's all down to personal preference. Windows does have the disadvantage software-wise, but you can get any Windows computer and install Linux on it to turn it into a perfectly viable workstation.
Easy life for SAP software developers, but not soo easy life for SAP user :)
Omg totally agreed
SAP is the definition of AIDS
Haha so true!!
As well as SAP advisors life)
@Fizzbuzz Wait so, you worked with ABAP and you hated it?
Cuz I have the chance to get a job which involves a lot of ABAP coding, but Im not sure if I should take it. Also, what are the "most recommendable" programming jobs out there, and which languages?
If you can answer me, I would appreciate!
If you are in a good environment, with good colleagues, and the company allows you to do sport at 12 I think is great. Besides you're working for SAP, the most important ERP in the world. I think you're lucky. However, if you want to form a family, I hope that they also allow you to have a more flexible working hours. If so, then it's perfect. Congrats!
Man I've been bingeing a bunch of these videos- everyone has such a good work-life-fitness balance. I'm here, ordering takeaway, getting fat and just working, constantly. It's relentless.
there was a lot of procrastination and little work in that video. thumbs up.
Serge Leon that's basically what devs do. Love it
not true
I thought the same exact thing. It seemed like 4+ hours were doing other stuff. Still cool though
you could try to code 8+ hours a day but your brain will melt and it won't be any more productive than doing it in smaller amounts
WessTech I have actually. And school and bought a house at the same time. If your brain melts after a regular day of work then I feel bad for you
Now I can understand why SAP release half done products :D
what does sap does
@@oksowhat usually for manufacturing sites like mine its keeps Sales orders, inventory levels, forecast all in one software so its easy to see it.
Of course it's fake, programmers don't have a girlfriend, at least this is what my psychologist said to make me feel better being alone.
strong
To have a girlfriend is one of the easiest thing in life for me, but im not a programmer haha :)
Lol, that's what I was saying. This guy doesn't look like a true programmer. He looks like some repulsive frat boy that would rather party everyday than program. Call me an asshole for saying that but it's generally true. Most programming firms are filled with socially awkward nerds but this guy is an exception.
Basic Design
It's true that many preppy/frat like people are going into computers far more than what it used to be, but I find that these people only go into it for work and not necessarily because they're obsessed with it. It seems that the elite programmers of today like Vitalik Buterin are still socially deficient/autistic.

>Waking up at 06:22, so I can work til 19:50 to please my corporate masters
Truly a life worth living
or you can say, waking up at 06:22, so I can work and do what I love til 19:50 to also please my corporate masters and myself. Idk about other coders, but most people I know that are into coding likes their job.
It was customer meeting day....
I'm studying computer science and I can tell you for sure that the coding-related parts don't feel like studying to me since if I don't have to code for school (like during the vacations, right now) I use that time to code for personal projects (and mostly for fun) anyways.
He's just doing his ~8hrs though. He's in the office at 9, then at 12 he works out and eats at 13:10. There's a gap but let's say he goes back to work at 13:30 and works until 19:45. That's about 8 hrs and 45 mins of actual work of which a large portion is probably not so productive meetings.
He might even have flexible hours (where he chooses the time to start), from what I see, he's in a fairly flexible company and this is how he chooses to work. This is much better than just working 9 to 5. He seems to enjoy taking his time in the morning and fits in a workout, I'm sure he can also just take a 30min break and leave earlier if he wanted to, at least when he's not scheduled for meetings.
A lot of people talk about work life balance, but when you find meaning and passion with what you do, especially when you surround yourself with great minds who are true stakeholders of the companies, it's worth it.
This video was amazingly well edited! Great job Joey! I also thought this gave suuuuch an accurate and real insight into what it's like to work in tech bc a lot of other videos aren't as detailed with the meetings and time frames, etc. Loved this so much! & I love Paris so it was cool to see that work is the similar there too! + really cool architecture :)
hi Nicole. thank you for your great feedback, makes me happy. Paris is a cool city yes and our offices are not bad too. where do you live? I saw you made a similar video last year about your day in life of a student in a work team, I will watch it right nowww. thanks again for your comment.
oh Vancouver! and your video is nice too! unfortunately no images during your work but that's comprehensible. what kind of camera are u using?
Yeah that's why I was so impressed by your video and how chill everyone was with your camera haha! I just finished my second internship/job at another company so I might make a video with the things I was able to film there. Maybe :). I'm using a old camera, it's the Sony 5R but I've been looking into getting the a6500. What editing program did you use? Also, do you speak both French and English at work? Or mostly just French?
J'ai entendu quelqu'un parler anglais... (I took french in high school haha). Watching your video is making me want to film again haha! Do you have plans to film anymore videos?
First Last You really are dumb aren't you
Awesome man. Thanks for uploading this. Expecting more in future for new videos.
I have always liked software programming but I do not have money to study or for a computer but I am satisfied watching these videos.
I really do love your content as a Computer science student.

SAP is also known for hiring sexual predator, racist and morally bankrupt employees. Like Erik Kotek and Janene Hoskovec. How many more workers do they have that are yet to become viral for sexual assault and assaulting people of color?

Loved it mate. Must be challenging as well as rewarding. I feel excited.
Loved the APPLE eco layover, great videođ€
This is interesting to watch. Iâm just about to start my apprenticeship at Thales as a software engineer and I wonder how much difference there would be between our routines, because your life seems so chill.

i like the best part of your video is the workout section... where you look after your health.. great đn also you have a great team... keep it up...
Beautiful video. Good luck with your career !
My biggest issue here is: how in the hell do you guys have the commitment to code in those small laptops? I need at least twice that size...
For me 13" retina is perfect, I thought the same as you since I was on 24" screen before it , but it does not matter. It is even better. If you have normal vision, there is no eye strain or anything. Mobility/Weight/Size are great advantages.
And a mouse
like if you use two 19 inch screens... and mouse too.. :)
If I dont have my 27" (and I think 2... I've 2x27 + 1x24(vertical 21:9) for work...), I think it's the end for me...
I use the laptop monitor along with a 32" tv. Really can't code with only the laptop lol
Greetings from Walldorf!
yeah, thanks colleague
This is awesome, thank you for sharing
love it but really don't understand the ffact about working out in the middle of the day. but love the fact that company has given time to take of yourself during work hours.. and great vid by the way..

Your day seems to be quite long compared to other 1dayLife of other programmers.
Your workplace seems like a really nice place to work, your teammates look very friendly.
Nice video!
This was a very insightful watch, working in Paris and that view from your office just wow. Also has anyone ever said you look very much Like Nico Rosberg!
I loved the video, if you have serious opportunity more videos like this ... a fan from Brazil!
thank you guilherme, i'm editing new videos yes
Good video dude, i'm gonna start college in a few months as a computer science student, would be cool to be a software engineer, this kind of videos inspire me, keep it up!.
Thanks and good luck for your studies! All the best
Let me tell you right now since im a college student in computer science at the moment. START CODING NOW. literally learn Java or whatever coding language your school will use. Trust me get ahead now and you'll do so much better. Also go ahead and start learning calculus just to get that shit out the way.
Eliud RodrĂguez a steep learning curve in the first year but after that it's just fun to fix problems your own creative way! Good luck, I'm sure you will love it once you got the basics right
same
11 Hours of daily work, crazy
C'est pas mal la petite seance de sport en plein air !
enjoy your life Joey âŠ. your are the best
Absolutely incredible dude, living the dream!
btw I didn't know brad pitt worked at sap
haha fun! Thanks mate
Iâm also a software engineer at a luxury car company and itâs pretty much the same life, however I use Thinkpad (cuz there the best) and boot Linux on it occasionally, I donât work in a skyscraper more like very long building with about 3 floors. And my god if you get 2 hour breaks or even more than an hour break I hate you because I could do those workout breaks because we have the facilities but ainât nobody got time for that, I only get 30min lunches (granted I do finish early on Friday because I do more hours mon-thurs but still wtf). Also your meeting rooms are pretty dope but I bet you majority of the time youâre in Skype meetings đ.
Good Video.
Inspired from you even I'm planning to create such videos.
I would gladly to this my entire life and still be pretty happy, this is really what I'm aiming for. Great video tho
OK, respect that you work until 19:00. When do you have time for shopping? When do you meet friends? Why start so late and do such a long break? I'm done with my 40hrs/week job at 14:00.
MainAuto What time you start?
6 am.
I feel like it's give or take. The SAP team we have on-site definitely isn't working until close to 18:00 (starting from 9:00ish). Might just be the companies around ours, but we all hate the rigidity of SAP legacy.
I work till 10pm or later sometimes
I work from 9am to 5pm, im in denmark so scandinavian countries are chill as hell
Working the same job. Hate it. Gonna quit. Life is more than sitting in an office 8+ hours... Everyone has to find his own happines tho I guess.. if youre passionate about what you do, its your thing! No life better than your own ;)
Rafi Vibes Bro... We need the money to live the life we want.
where do you wanna work next?
What would you like to change the desk job with? I am also thinking about this.
thanks, for telling us the truth!... take care! bye....^-^....
@@mauricioluisvega8342 this is not the absolute truth, as he said... if this is your thing you're going to feel comfortable doing it.
Timings are pretty legit. 9 to 5 with appropriate breaks. Also cool co-workers. Seems like a good workplace.
Canât wait to join the Team, to produce my own video đđ
My life:
6.00 am wake up and prepare ur self for go to the university
8.00 am university
Just lessons and a lunch.
6. 00pm come back home and dinner.
7.00pm study and cod
12.00 sleep.
Perfect life...
So i should change something đ
Im impressed just how many of students sleep so little and still fullfil their tasks. If i don't sleep at midday i will die, i feel tired
I think study and cod doesn't blend well

i didnt know that some people responded my comments tho :) Well we had some changes on my schedule
My current schedule is :
5:00-5:30 am - daily care
5:30-6:00 am - studying Russian (for fun)
6:00-7:30 am - Running (5-10km in general)
7:30-8:00 am - shower and some other daily care
8:00-9:00 am - breakfast then drinking coffe with family in the balcony ( really important one :D )
9:00-11:00 am - lectures in general
11:00-1:00 pm - after chilling on youtube for 30 mins, trying to get ready for other lectures or if nothing to do, review what i learned.
1:00-2:00 pm - lunch and youtube or netflix
2:00-5:00 pm - if there is no any lecture trying to learn some programming stuff
5:00-7:00 pm - review what i learned today
7:00-8:00 pm - i call this part "free studying" generally spending that one on homeworks which are still not done.
8:00-9:00 pm - talking with a friend, and dinner (my dinners are fast and not so heavy)
9:00-10:00 pm - reading in general.
Guys i also wanna add that, this schedule may not make me really successful student or programmer in short term, of course im having so many difficulties because i didnt study so much before but we dont have to put everything in one semester, or the time period which normall students are having to finish their studies...
Making education period longer is not that bad if you can work in summers(we have free education in my country). I guess ill also have one more additional semester in my university education because i didnt study much when i was in my Erasmus exchange student semester. And only because that semester, i cannot catch the topics which my instructors are teaching currently.
Okay here is the situation, if i can have that schedule in long term, i ll be good at programming and my lectures anyway but it ll take more time because i wont be able to cath to topics but i ll have more dicipline and motivation and HEALTH.
I think that is the important point for me, i tried so many different methods and everytime i faced with so much pressure and stress. I slept like 5 hours per day regurarly and studying so hard for a while. Yes i got used to it but i always had so much stress and ended up with stupid perfectionism which even makes me ignore what i success and i started to blame myself.
Okay i actually cannot express my feeling about it in one text but anyway, i want to end with summary.
Nothing is more important than your health. Dicipline and long term schedules with a bit of editing, ll gives birth to sucess. Dicipline=Freedom, Freedom is not only about u r in jail or not, physical freedom, financial freedom, please go watch some videos about it or read if you can(reading is more recommended).
I ll also try to start journaling my experiences about it. Why? Just wanna have some value and idk, youtube and books helped me a lot to change my life, i wish i could help somebody tho. So anyway, thx if you still read. Contact with me if you have any questions; Linkledn: Mert Furkan Sezgin
Thank you for the great video.
It gave a lot of useful insight into what working at SAP is like. I also enjoyed the video style and editing. To me SAP seems to be a great place to work at. As I'm currently a student at the Technical University of Munich I will definitly consider SAP as a future employer.
Which office in France do you work at?
Greetings from Germany
thanks for your comment! yes SAP is definitely a great place to work. the hq is at walldorf but i heard the office in berlin is quite good too (smaller). i work for the office in paris since 3 years. i subscribed to your channel as i see you are a maker and i love it too.see you and have a nice day

Isnt this a bit tiring to you? :) Working from 09:00 to 19:00 and kind of getting home at 23:00-23:30 good be exhausting in many other jobs. I know coding is kind of relaxing but still, you put a lot of "brains" in this work ,right ? :D So how do u feel at the end of the day and how do you feel after one week/month of working like this? :d
p.s : i am asking because I will soon start my first job as a front end developer and I am curious
Mirza Sergiu definitely not a typical day. Most software engineers typically have an 8 hour day max or less, excluding lunch. He was doing meetings though, which was why he probably stayed late. This is from a California perspective, but friends in Spain and Germany say the same so Iâd assume France isnât different.
Your question about exhaustion is very typical though. A lot of people want to advance quickly but they burn out within 2 years or so. So look for natural growth, stay within your limits, and welcome to probably the best workplace out in the job market today.
Yeah, I was thinking about that but wasnt sure tho. Thanks for the advice, I actually am really excited for the new job and I am looking forward to absorb all that new knowledge!
Thanks Emannuel for your reply, I agree with you on all the points you mention. yes France isn't different than Germany, Spain and Silicon Valley (I suppose). it was an exception this day to stay till 7:30 because a meeting was extended with a customer. good luck Sergiu for your new job, all the best.
Thanks, mon ami! All the best to you :D
Ah title made me suggests it was a regular day at SAP. I work from 10 to 17 on a regular day as Software Engineer and I find that more than enough ;)
Hope we see more of these :D
hope too
wow wonderful,in India we never think about work out at 12pm in after noon, some big MNC has some facility but after work hours, nice to see you, it's shows that you enjoy your office culture.
Exactly! Exactly! We can't think about workout, that too at 12 PM.
too many hipster overtones , why to corporations always want to seem cool lol
just french things....
It's not that companies want to seem cool (although they probably do), but his working hours in this video were really long. If it didn't seem like a cool, relaxing environment with perks, no one would want to do it.
So they have to give it perks to seem appealing - just like how Google gives lots of benefits to their employees for free; they get the best out of employees as they can be in the office longer and be more productive.
An SAP freelancer can make up to 10 Grand a month. When a company doesn't want to pay fairly and/or there are lots of (unpaid) overhours it refers to all low cost perks ;)
still dosnt answer the point im making , that corporations in the quest to be relavant they side way way to far to the left leaning liberal bias ( hipster type )
Imran Chaudhry they arenât leaning towards a liberal bias, itâs just the fact that statistically more liberals have college degrees so a company gives good benefits in return for their employees knowledge.
Amazing video, great job, coold guy. I have a few questions and I would be glad if you answered them:
1. What program did you use to edit the video?
2. How did you do the iPhone weather app and other iPhone widget/clock apperances in it?
3. Whats the music?
Thanks a lot and keep it up
I love all the candid shots, like how you "didnt" put the camera in the cupboard beforehand and rummage for something you already knew you wanted. Makes the realism look a lot more fake.

damn you really live to work. modern slavery.
Airell Rahman xD u rly dont uderstand word "slavery"
slavery with extra steps ^^
Modern slavery??? Haha!
Open a history book and see what slavery actually is. There's no slavery about this whatsoever, with the skills that guy has he could get by while working way less but he chose to do the job he does now for a reason. Whether it's for the money or simply because he loves what he does, it's not slavery since it's his own choice.
"with the skills that guy has", yes the skills that 100's of millions in India and other developing countries have and are willing to work for fraction of what he gets. The only way he can avoid being offshored is if he works like a slave (although even this doesn't guarantee shit).
z00h nails it exactly. period.
The editing skills dude. wow
