But now onto more pressing mousie matters! We're starting Nezumiman now, Perfect Run style! I've been looking forward to this one for quite awhile now, as this game just exudes charm. Essentially, it's an indie game styled after Mega Man, but starring a colorful cast of mice. And thus, at Pink's request, we start things off with Ice Nezumi!
Ice Nezumi's stage isn't so bad, though the ice physics are not to be ignored. Neither are sudden onslaughts of birds and tuna. It's a "get your feet wet" kind of stage, but still fun, and with nice music.

Ahh, I love these old Roahm videos. I've grown up watching this channel all the way back and I'm happy he's still posting. The MegaMan videos of his with the smaller aspect ratio bring back memories and are loaded with nostalgia. Keep up the great work, Roahm, I hope you're doing well. :)

Yay another Perfect Run series. I really enjoy these.
I just played a re-creation of this in Mega Man Maker and had to come check out the original... they did a really good job re-creating the Ice Nezumi stage. They had access to none of the same enemies, but simulated them pretty well, such as using fast-driving car enemies for the sliding penguins and ladybugs for the swooping crows.
Post Script Addendum: Nezumiman is so cute when he slides.

I can tell you why she chose Ice Nezumi first. Birds, mice, and fish are amongst those you were killing here, meaning lots of food for the kitty.
Nice to see the perfect runs come back. And to be specific, while Megaman didn't have a ducking feature, Megaman X DID. Anyway, great video!

Nice to see that this game doesn't suck off Megaman 2 unlike 99% of all Megaman clones and actually includes a slide.
I've picked up an eye for good game design, and the creator of this game has definitely got the basics down! The level has its own gimmick, and the first instance of it is extremely simple to teach the player how the gimmick works. Props to the designer.

The stage 1 boss of Touhou 12 UFO, Nazrin, is a mouse.
Apparently, her ability is that of gold detection, & like her master Shou Toramaru, she helps find shinies... lots of shinies...
I should adopt them as pets; they'll probably come to me though because of my ability.
Also, you can just slide under the birds that dive bomb you. Also looks fairly cool.
I'm not sure if anybody else has mentioned this, but Ice Nezumi does take extra damage from the buster. He takes twice as much damage as the rest of the bosses.
Also, "Fridge logic." Took me a while to get that pun.
He's over 1000 now.

Soooo much Megaman 3 in that level. I haven't seen the others though. Maybe inspired by different games in the classic series?
@levelmaster2 Indeed it is, it was from a Final Fantasy LP as his entire party was downed by Lv 5 Death.
@hfbn2 Indeed yes, Raocow was my first introduction to Nezumiman. After that, Shagg did a full LP of it, and Kit did a speedrun of the game.
Just for the record, when the penguins lunge forward, there's a small window of opportunity in which you can slide under them. No bonus, but it looks really cool.

@RoahmMythril Actually he COULD duck in X5. It was needed to dodge some of the intro bosses attacks. Alia even points it out I think. It was also in X6 and the ZX series. Still, I guess it doesn't matter that much.

I've played the Hard Hat games, I'm pretty sure the main issue for me there is my system, the game runs rather slowly for me, especially when changing music, the game completely freezes until it starts playing again. I know a lot of people also recommend Rozencrust Stillette or something like that, I bloody well know I butchered the spelling there ^_^;

@RoahmMythril It came IN X5 actually, it was also in X6, less said about that game the better though. I don't think it was in X4, but might have been. It was not in X7 or 8 though, in fact 8 was more of a return to the original X format only with 3D graphical design in a 2D side-scroller set up.

Ah, Nezumiman. A Megaman-clone game that I haven't played yet (and hopefully will someday if I'm not suffering from sheer abject laziness), but seems very interesting from seeing other playthroughs of it. As these are to be perfect runs, are you planning on not running the final stages like with most of these runs, or will this be an exception?
@ShadowWolfTJC I doubt it's even possible. If someone can, then I'm impressed, seriously o.o; I may consider a no deaths run of the game though.
