it can be an better alternative to a "mac type of userbase", who don't game or don't use apps like blender, maya or train AI models
cuz it lacks a dedicated GPU like all the other "thin and light" category laptops, and adding a GPU will increase it's weight and thickness
for those who're saying bro it runs gta v, bro gta v is more than a decade old, even integrated graphics of intel/AMD can run it in ultra or high presets
so saying it's the future of windows machine is kind of a hyperbole, unless they pack a good GPU within this body with decent thermals

As a person who uses rcntrl button…this copilot button really pisses me off (I’m a writer and I use the right control a lot ) they should change the right alt key to be copilot and keep the control button

In US Microsoft Surface laptop 7 with Snapdragon X Plus starts $999(Roughly 83K) while in India it's going to be around Rs 113,000
So all the new laptop launches always comes with less price in US as compare to India. And once all these laptops start becoming old, then their prices increases in US and decreases in India. You can try this research on your end.

Absolutely not. Atleast not at the moment. If you want msg back and I can recommend few review videos from a developers POV
I'm tempted to buy one too ..but I have seen too many reviews where SD laptops fail miserably. I would recommend to wait for another year untill software catches up to the hardware. Till then have a monthly plan to save money to get the 32Gb variant.
Believe me you're gonna need it since you're a developer and also considering that the laptop costs upwards of 1.2L for a 16GB variant.

FYI the game has anti-cheat you can't run on this machine. The developer needs to update to support this type of laptop so you can play single-player games on these ARM laptops. 🙂

The X Elite processor on this is still base variant of the lineup, I would skip this for the top end version!

As far as I know it does not support dual boot ( or it may be locked by the vendors) which is major red flag and I think it should be discussed.
If someone has that much budget, he will never ever go for any brand than Apple.

price is a thing, an amd 8000 series zephyrus ( same price as m4 ) demolishes it in performance and gives 10-12+ hrs of backup ( my friend's 5900HS zephy gives the same )

If efficiency is the game, Apple knows how to play it and have shown repeatedly they are better. You just cannot beat vertical integration with horizontal integration when it comes to optimizations like battery life, performance per watt etc. I have the Asus vivobook s15 (intel edition) and that thing cooks even when linux is run on it.
Also it's pretty public information at this point -> Windows sucks. Like really. The only thing going for it is gaming and some professional software only designed to run on it due to better penetration in the market. When it comes to stability and getting things actually done, it's hard to come close to what macOS/Linux has to offer.
I will take this platform seriously only if Linux can run on these machines and not some shitty spyware like Windows 11.

Overpriced for me. Keeping profits so high even with a first gen processor chip is just insane.
Sponcered and not really tested well. Battery life is just sponsored. Under full load it will only run 2hrs. Still intel and amd graphics is best. Ryzen 7840u and intel core ultra 7.

My Intel Samsung Galaxy Book 4 Pro only drops 2% after 8 hours of sleep and when i open the lid, it instantly opens the screen in 1 seconds and then i register my finger log in.

You seem to have problem with Snapdragon. There is no intel machine in the market which can beat Snapdragon X elite and X plus in battery backup.
