I think he was surprised how singing a duet with a woman could change the meaning in this song. It's so emotional that it sounds like a couple who have torn each other up. It's passionate and painful, yet stunning to listen to. It's not just a man's lament about loosing a woman who just coolly walks away, but now it's about two people who are trying to break away from each other but keep coming back to the pain of letting go. I could feel from her a lament of 'I can't go on like this. Let me go.' and from him 'Why does it have to be like this?' It's a tug'o'war of emotions.

I’m sorry but it’s not ALOT of women who has a voice like hers!! Her diction is clear, she is singing from her diaphragm, she isn’t straining her voice! She is one of the best females I’ve heard especially when it comes to Korean artist. A lot of artist in general get a lot of help from the studio and her voice is PURE!! Kudos to her!!
