WHY A HEADER?
Some people don't know it but a header makes the most power gain with a single bolt on part with no need of complicated and super expensive modifications to your vehicle. It increases power (by 10-15%) on your engine by increasing improved flow in the exhaust system (Logic says: the faster everything comes out, the faster everything can come in).
There are many headers in the market these days, probably cheaper, but they are far from better. LC Engineering has been producing, testing, installing and designing these headers for more than 20 years. so we can assure you that there is not a better header for a Toyota 22 engine series out there on the market. So after installing your LC Engineering Street header on your Toyota you will know why we still the #1 header around, why race and off-road enthusiasts prefer us and why we are worth the extra expense.
I want to see a dyno comparison of a truck with the stock manifold and your custom manifolds, proving that they actually add power
installed the LCE street header kit and Pro flow exhaust system on my 22 RE FWD mid March '23. Installation wasn't too difficult and system is a solid fit. There was a noticeable improvement in performance and fuel economy. However, a year later there is noticeable rust all along the exhaust system and minor rust on lower headers. Not what I expected from ceramic coated 409 stainless steel!
Im ordering this Monday...
When did engineering changed the material used for those exhaust eg. Stainless steel thanks. My exhaust I bought from LC engineering years ago is rusting.
It's normal for headers to rust, as long as it does the job
What kit do you recommend? I have a 1988 toyota pickup and I need it to pass smog can I put longtube headers, or not possible to pass smog?
Give us a call, we would be glad to assist you. 1-877-505-2501
Would the LCE Street Header 4WD fit on a 1981 Toyota Pickup? or would I have to use the Rock Ripper set?
Checking into this and will be back with you soon.
I have a 89, 22re, pickup with a 2” body lift. Would my best option be going with the shorty header? Or now that I’m thinking about it I should be able to work with the 4wd street headers. What would y’all suggest?
With a body lift you should have no issues as the engine mount locations wont be changing. Give us a call if you have any questions 877-505-2501, the street header should be good option for you in a long tube design.
I'm in California. I think heat riser is part of the visual inspection. Just cut a dummy one?
Give us a call, we would be more than happy to walk you through this. 877-505-2501
I have both a 2wd pickup and a first gen 4runner. Which header would fit both?
Unfortunately they would require different headers. Give us a call and we would be glad to assist you. 877-505-2501.
Man I want one but it's so dam expensive. I can't make one yet because I don't have a tig welder. Someday I won't be poor.
I am looking for such a set for a 1976 Hilux 20r engine. Can you send it to me in the Netherlands?
