There is one feature which most people take for granted but which in the long run makes this board stand out and elevate it above ALL custom boards out there.
The design of the plate allows removal of the stabilizers by removing or desoldering ONE switch. This feature will become more important if u have a solder pcb and decide at some future date to replace / upgrade your stabilizers or if some new stabilizer comes along . No need to desolder / remove 90 switches
I have 2 Rama M65 boards and while I love them , when staebies were released I went through the pain of desoldering 2 entire boards - hours of tedious grind -
Unfortunately- once the Sonnet arrives the Rama boards are getting shelved for good - I'm not going through desoldering an entire PCB ever again and playing around with a Syringe , and trying to touch up stabs isn't my thing either
I prefer to rebuild stabs and tune them from scratch
Mode designers are TRUE keyboard enthusiasts who understand what ppl want and need
Hats off to mode for this one feature which not even famous twitch and youtube streamers seem to point out in detail and which is of utmost importance

I ended up not receiving 1 pcb to case screw for my sonnet (4 out of the 5). Any way for me to get one?

Question: how long do you guys estimate sonnet will stay in stock for?

I am using the PE foam however I noticed there are no holes for the switch pins. Is it ok to poke the switch pin through the foam while installing the switch?

does anybody else here use the silicone base w/ the iso top mount?.. haven't seen a video around really that talks about it

It's possible, it would create a dampened sound signature and a stiffer/responsive typing experience.

It would have been really nice if there were visual examples of all the steps instead of just talking and explaining - - especially if this is someone's first build - I went onto twitch and saw some complete build videos - thanx anyway - the board is great

I'll create a shorter build guide focusing on just those assembly shots if it helps!

Unfortunately, this video wasn't very helpful with my build. I ended up putting the board together as best I could using logic because it was difficult to find a good build video...please make a new one.

Is this video supposed to be as gatekeepy as it is?? This was my first build I’ve done and all this video did was confuse me. You guys used so much jargon and assumed that everyone already knows what they’re doing which completely defeats the purpose of the guide.

This seems super straight forward and basic tbh
