She has completed a 300+ hour medical acupuncture certification through the Integrated Structural Acupuncture course. She wants to use every tool at our disposal. She believes that treating pain requires a multifaceted approach for recovery, with a goal is to relieve pain and help people feel better, as well as focusing on meeting measurable goals in improving physical function.
Pelvic Rehabilitation Medicine, our pelvic pain specialists provide a functional, rehab approach to pelvic pain. When you visit one of our offices, you spend an hour with your doctor reviewing in detail your medical history and symptoms. Then, we perform an internal exam (no speculum) to evaluate your nerves and muscles. Together, we'll discuss an individual treatment plan that gets to the root cause of your pain and helps you to feel better. The best part: you can begin treatment the same day!
At PRM, our mission is to decrease the time patients are suffering from pelvic pain symptoms.

Unhealed childhood trauma which causes fatigue, anxiety and depression can also cause pelvic floor dysfunction / pain.

My husband who is 66, was diagnosed with hypertonic pelvic floor disfunction, following bph/ turp surgery. He was sexually assaulted at age 10. He also played a ton of sports(ice & roller hockey, curling, hurling,,rugby, basketball, football, baseball, martial arts, kettle bells, and played music )prior to the pandemic. Now he's suffering from all of the symptoms that you're describing) prior to his surgery on 1/05/22. He has lost a lot of weight [174lbs, down to 130]. He recently began pelvic floor rehab, which is beneficial to his recovery. Cheers from SpoCanada [Spokane, WA.].

I have had these issues since my teens and now in my 60s ... really cant see this happening. I know it is a problem and I hope it is not too dangerous. I know when I had open heart the straining was a problem but I just can not even imagine doing something like this .

Thank you for this video. And thank you for responding in the comments.
My issues started a year and a half ago.
    Random pelvic pain, usually stabbing.
Mostly in my public hair region. Sudden onset of frequent urination with burning. Went to the doctor because I thought UTI. Checked ok. Had pelvic ultrasound twice, and everything looked "normal".
    No hernia either.
Pain continued off and on. Sometimes worse than others.
8 months ago, after w pretty bad case of Covid my PSA # jumped. And jumped again 3 months later. Urologist thought it was a fluke. His examination showed a normal size and feel for my prostate.
Retested PSA 3 weeks later and PSA came back down.
Now I deal with random stabbing pelvic.l pain, urination stream is much weaker than before as well as ejaculation force.
Visited a pelvic floor therapist locally. Unfortunately they don't take my health care insurance and I can't afford $150 per visit so I stopped going.
I do some stretches but it doesn't seem to help sometimes painful.
    Please answer this part..
Is it normal to feel more pain after kegel type exercises?
It is really scary to me. I feel at a loss. I don't know what to think..
    Thank you!!!

I'm unsure of your situation but what I strongly suggest is that they you stretch. Stretch like your life depends on it. Pelvic floor stretches and exercises. Go slowly and however best felt but in time I have learned this completely helps everything to go away of this is muscle related. Pelvic floor dysfunction can be of 3 types. Fungal, bacterial, or muscular. You will have to learn which one is your case. But stretching and exercise on a daily basis, as much as possible has changed testicular pain, swollen thigh, pain in my side/lower back to just occasional slight discomfort in my testes when I sit on hard surfaces, or after ejaculation. I feel as if theres been such swllelljng and pain for so long its just time that will eliminate that completely as well. AMD this is after just a WEEK of constant deep diaphragm breathing, yoga, pelvic stretching and excercise. This is extremely important and I plan on doing this forever. And overall it helps premature ejaculation as well.
