I absolutely love the sound of the EZ3.0 SUBARUS. I bought one last year and I put custom stainless exhaust on it. It sounds badass

2007 subaru owner with dual cannon mufflers here, not a cop magnet but sounds great when you rip it.
It's fun how these sound so good with as simple as a muffler delete.
I have a 2004 EZ30D Outback with the axle back muffler removed.
I removed my rear muffler as well and it sounds amazing!!!

Because Porsches have boxer 6 cylinders. Nowadayd Cayman has flat 4 so it went full circle. You can get Porsche that sounds like a Subaru

About to get cannon mufflers on my 2007 Subaru Outback 3.0R H6, wish me luck
3 months after getting these, I am very happy with the sound, got 2.5 inch in and 4 inch out duel cannon mufflers, sounds quiet at idle and very quiet drone but sounds great at around 3k rpm
I was telling my dad if he would of known what type of car was this just by sound at 2:13, and he told me a Nissan Skyline. I was surprised because I said the same thing too, so those boxer 6 are 👌.

Completely stock the SV6 would probably win, but in terms of torque and weight I'd say the EZ30 would hold up fine. ECU tune, exhaust and maybe headers and the EZ30 would destroy the SV6 on the track I imagine. If I had to choose between a tuned up SV6 or tuned up EZ30, I would probably take the EZ30.

Jake Kolasinski the 3.0r is basically bulletproof. They use timing chains instead of a belt so no worries there. I had an 05 outback 3.0r and loved it. Wish i never got rid of it.

I know this way late, but the 3.0r's do blow their head gaskets around 200k miles. I have had it happen to me, and know two friends that also had theirs blow up as well.

could you plz tell about the difference between them (except the letter difference =)?
They both technically an ez30d. But the later model engine which has a better intake manifold and slightly improved exhaust manifolds as well as variable valve and lift control is often called the ez30r. Cause the legacy it comes from is called the 3.0 r
