- These last few months have seen a fair few crazy events take part in the sim racing world, but I think it's fair to say that this one has them all beat. Plus it started on my birthday, so win win!

Robert Wickens doing 100% FFB challenge in the Le Mans 24h is the biggest boss move in the history of sim racing
plus driving with hands controls throughout the entire race take it to another level
He didn't even have the indycar to help him practice driving without power steering
What a MAD lad
Robert Wickens is just one massive boss
Wasnt that the guy who got paralyzed in an indycar accident?
Love how Jimmy's highlights are 25 minutes longer than the official WEC highlights
5 MINUTES HIGHLIGHT IS A YOKE
A YOKE
@@JoaoPaulo-pu1qc I mean the WEC always release a 5 min highlights right after the race is finished then later release a 52 min report so maybe they'll do the same for this race
The hour 8 highlight real is longer then the full 24 hour one
Wait the WEC uploads highlights??

Even with the actual Le Mans being on time, this should be a yearly thing. I think it will really bring more players into the Sim Racing community.
iRacing does it annually but yeah, it would be so cool to see this more often
@@maxversthappening8166 Iracing does run the 24 hours of Le Mans, but the Iracing brogucast quality does not come close to this
also iRacing runs it as one of their anyone-can-access special events; while this was an invitational with stricter rules (like 2 drivers per team needing to have an International racing license), specific BoP, required practice, etc.)
@@daniellee4003 There's also specific Bop for the 24LM in iRacing.
totally!
Other youtubers 500k subscriber special: ask me anything
Jimmy Broadbent 500k subscriber special: have the ACO organise a 24H race on my birthday, so i can race against professional race drivers and simracers, and can be roasted by commentators on wordwide live TV.
lmfao
@@Jimmy_Broadbent We expect this again next year
@@mooncalf_4534 gotta have him hit 1m by then dont we?
The fact that you had more viewers than the official broadcast is amazing
Congrats!!!
That’s kinda funny hahaha
Jimmy makes sim racing entertaining and all he has to do is talk lol he's the new Murray Walker
Am no Le mans virtual race had 63 million cumulative TV and Digital audiences.Pretty sure he didn't beat that
@@taskforceknight9336 hahaha hahaha, your wrong with 63 million views mate
@@jorehaast9887 None of you have sources.
What an amazing performance. Jimmy with his race engineering, multi-tasking and reacting on the fly even when totally exhausted, Kevin for being a calming voice and a stone cold professional, Ferdi for some great stints and top bantz and Robert for an absolutely astounding performance. 100% FB, one handed! ONE-FUCKING-HANDED! As well as just putting his head down and knocking out lap after lap after lap after lap when it needed to be done. No panic. No word of complaint. Just delivering lap after lap.
All of you stepped up and took responsibility for what needed to be done, when it needed to be done. No complaints. No prima donnas. No preening.
What a team.
Oh, and words can't express how much I love Radio Bacho.
some complaints were had, justified though
I think there were some fair complains about the stint schedule being absolutely trashed and getting the 3 lap penalty.
Totally disheartening. But it was a great ride. I missed about 4 hours of it

I watched quite a bit of this and it was hilarious to hear Ferdi go from “racing driver” at the start to “absolute madlad” by the end. Well done Jimmer.
Sleep deprivation works similiar to alcohol, also he probably warmed up a bit to the others
He was converted
but jimmy didnt include cheesy boi in the highlights
@@hafizyunus4695 What are you referring to?
@@1997jankuschef Ferdi called someone(Probably Jimmy) a "cheesy boy".
Was it when Jimmy sent his 13k spies after LeClerc perhaps... Can't remember...
It was a brilliant show - almost as exciting as the real thing - go Jimmers
You don't get mid race sim rig changes in real like though 🤷♂️🤣
"Almost"?
I found it more entertaining imo
That sim swap in the race was so cool and unlucky that Rob had to drive on 100% force feedback, that Kevin had his push to talk button on neutral and the spins and crashes
Thank you Jimmy for this amazing journey, this whole race was such an intense roller coaster of emotions also happy birthday again and congratulations on 500k
this, this has everything I wanted to sa, have my upvote.
Couldn't have said it better. It felt like a true Le Mans race. Adversity and bad luck throughout, but they kept pushing and finished the race.
"Sim Swap" at 11:20? What actually happened there? did one PC crash so he hopped on another??
@@KumaKaori no his rig/wheel died but he had another ready to swap out and had clearly practiced it. That's a professional.
@@shorey66 This kind of professionalism is pretty much the essence of Team Penske. If there's something that can go wrong you can bet your ass they've thought of it, analyzed it and come up with a way to fix it or at least salvage what they can because even a point or two can make all the difference at the end of the season.
WICKENS!!!!!!!! Was awesome watching wickens drive, fantastic spirit, fanstastic driver, and fantastic person !
**Excited Heckman and Eversley noises**
So we just ingore that somebody made a donation as Gavrilo Princip while he has Habsburg on his team? xd
Alright...
One for the history fans 😜😜😜
Oh my god lmaooooooooooooo
It's 1914 all over again...
lol, that is actually pretty hilarious. I'm sure that went over the head of 99.9% of the stream. Not only do most people not know who Princip was, but I don't think most people know that Ferdinand is royalty. And he's not just part of the family, he would be Crown Prince if the empire still existed. He's basically the Prince William of Austria.
@Bounze yeah my bad, I meant more in the sense of who he is and the position, not how popular he is. Probably not a great analogy.
That whiteboard moment i think will remain my favorite "sim racing" moment for the rest of the year.
I watched probably 10 hours, after jimmers first stint and his nap. (Radio Bacho was super chill) I have to say i felt at home, it was wonderful. The positivity and just plain good vibes are so rare these days. Keep it up Jimmy, you da man and you mean alot to alot of ppl.
IKR i stayed for like the same amount of time and the whole time i never felt bored or wanting to quit watching. Jimmer is love
it was my first time being awake through radio bacho and it's simply amazing, just constant good vibes
Radio bacho really does send me to sleep
Probably the biggest sim race ever. So happy that you were part of it! Congratulations on getting to 500k it's been great seeing the channel grow over the years, and what a time to get there, on your bithday. I'm so happy for you and I'm looking forward to the future!
14:50 Jimmy has a new overlay for when he is AFK
its so wholesome to see you come such a long way to compete in events with such a big names :)
Wym? It's an honor for these other drivers to be driving with Jimmer! No but for real, amazing to see how far Jimmy has come.
honestly, from what I understand of RF2 - it had a blinder. Clearly a lot of preparation work went into it, and the pre-emptive red flag almost certainly removed more contraversy than it created. Interesting, yet understandable (from a public spectacle point of view) to let a team back in who ran out of fuel (but lets say unfamiliarity with the Sim was the cause and no one wants that to be a reason). Overall a super professional event that shows what could be. This race was a major win for sim racing and RF2 and probably a signficant shot across the bow of iRacing, who would presumably have seen themselves as the only real option for such an event. I'm assuming the rest of the world will be receiving some interesting RF2 patches in the aftermath.
This was by far the best virtual racing event I've ever witnessed. I've never had the chance to watch a Le Mans broadcast because my country doesn't have channels that show it, only the documentary-style highlights and behind the scenes. But I was hooked on this. Watched about 10 hours of it while doing work and other stuff at home.
The production value, professionalism, and sportsmanship in it blows the F1 Virtual GP out the water. No celebrity nonsense, full damage, steward controlled ruling, not fully dependent on the game's penalty system and a very realistic broadcast quality. My sister was fooled by it. She thought it was real racing.
This needs to be a yearly event now.
Couldn't have spent 17 hours of my weekend any better - thank you Jimmy
It was more exciting than the real thing!
When you got someone to genuinely root for, to me it's almost better than the real thing ngl.
I support Jimmer more than any F1 driver.
we need to give him a seat somewhere lol
That was quite an impressive livestream and race to watch live! Well done Jimmy and the rest of the team!
Edit: Also, congrats on the 500k subscribers on your birthday!
Ferdinand Habsburg was fantastic. It would be great if you'd do some more events with him. You two gelled really well!
Half a million wow. I still remember when I joined this channel back when he only had 494k
💀💀💀
hahahahaha
I remember when he only had about 30k lol
I joined at 5k, with the t500rs and the tennisball, time flies
Congrats Jimmy! I must have watched 18/24 hours of the race and it was so entertaining. Having to take over from Rob at the exact moment you reach 500k couldn't be more fitting in my opinion. And also gotta say massive respect for Rob. I mean, he uses a handbrake as his pedals, drove 4 stints all by himself, had a few accidents but kept his cool and seemed such a chill and nice dude. Huge moment for you, congrats again. Must have been a good birthday gift, given the circumstances.
1:26 Best moment of the race
Poor Teddy Riner, he looks so ridiculous
i thought they were going to do that for the DJ haha
it looks like Tony Parker the basketballer :D
@@JanHejn I thought it was him actually haha
@@JanHejn Wait it WASN'T Tony Parker??? I just assumed it was him because he does some sim racing, I think.
There's something really relaxing about watching you drive endurance races. Enjoyed the stream, and congrats 500K.
Years from now, they will say this was the first ever virtual lemans, and you were a part of it
If somebody ever is gonna do a "SimRacingCelebritiesQuiz", one of the questions should be:
"What shirt was Jimmy Broadbent wearing, when he got his 500k subscribers" :P
Simon Pagenaud changing his rig. The most Penske thing he could of done. XD
Hello Jimmy! I really don't know what to say. I was stunned to see this entire event televised here in Canada. What a moment for Sim Racing! But you know, for me one of the finest moments was watching you be interviewed, during the same segment as Prince Faisal. You, my friend, have come a long way. Bravo, and stay on your path! Cheers from Canada.
I watched this entire video not to hear Ferdinand scream. YOU CHEESY BOY.
I was thinking... The honour lap😅
Congrats Jimmy you was the first sim racer i have watched when i got into sim racing and your an inspiration for me to keep pushing and get better. Its great to see how far you have came from when you started and till now.
It’s probably a moment you don’t ever want to re-live but my favourite was when you got up and you were ridiculously tired and it looked like Ferdi wasn’t arriving for his stint. You could hear in your voice how much you really didn’t want to have to get ready and do a stint but you went and got the pint of coffee, and about 30 seconds after you made the decision, Ferdi turns up and they couldn’t contact you to tell you it was all ok. And then you came back and heard Ferdi was there and we could hear you like “AAAAAAARRRRRRGGGHHHHH” in the background. Oh man I was laughing so fucking hard, it was perfect comedic timing and just sensational drama. ❤️
Caught as much of this on the stream as I could - this was the best gaming event I've ever seen, and it was a pleasure to spend it with yourself, Bacho, and Chatto.
You're such a brilliant ambassador for sim racing, and you handled yourself incredibly well on half an hour's sleep.
And the special guest appearance in the Mushroom Cup's Commentary later on was hilarious as well - that Shed Race was one of the funniest things I've ever seen.
yo the original GRID 24 hours of Le Mans music
really gets me hype: shoutouts to whoever put that in there
( shame the game doesn't run properly on modern PCs :( )
The resolution issue? I read you can fix that by tweaking a config file.
Runs fine on mine after a few tweaks in the config files
That was one of the best things to have happened in you Jimmer and I'm really glad that I was able to witness it. Thank you for being yourself for all this time and sharing your passion with all of us
Onto to 1 million! ❤️
The angriest boii when no one knows the stint lengths
the 500k subscribers is the very best birthday gift for you jimmy and im so proud for that and also proud that im one of those who subscribe to your channel to watch an epic race with many drivers who participated including fernando alonso rubens barrichello jenson button bruno senna robert wickens and charles leclerc wow jimmy this is a one hell of an experience to your life congratulations of 500k subscribers and hope more blessings and more races to come... no punterino jimmer
This event was absolutely awesome.
Was an experience and a half Jimmy to watch you and your boys racing hard, overcoming all the setbacks that arose to actually finish the whole race.
Rivetting stuff.
the night stint was tense, i remember going through the uncertainty of no one going to substitute Jimmy after he did 1 extra stint.
Honestly you're the reason why I'm even into sim racing, congratz with the 500k and awesome participation in this event. keep up the great content!
Congrats on the 500k. You're a nice guy and one of the lads, so that relatability endears you to your fans. That's why you deserve it. Robert was a hero driving through the night without a plan from the team even after his ffb issues.
I ended up going from your stream to the MotorTrend stream, where I made a few new friends from Turkey and the US who're both also subbed to you. Was really nice talking to them throughout the last 5 hours of the race. Had your stream on for audio in the background though.
the madlad changing seats, that's what I call immersion. Well done jimmer, happy to see you enjoying this event :D
I can't even remember when I first saw one of your streams, let alone couldn't believe why I was entertained by watching someone playing a game... nonetheless you inspired me to get my own sim setup and I've logged countless laps since. Thank you sir and congrats on 500k...you really do keep us entertained
Congratulations Jimmer on the 500K+
When I tuned in it was mid 2017 I can’t remember how many K that was. Love your content. You’ve been improving and producing top quality content year after year.
Well deserved mate. Not bad for a ShedDweller. 👌
Now go and have that celebratory tug, you’ve earned it.
Sadly I wasn't in my best form but I've enjoyed the race a lot! It has been great to see you race with those chaps and hopefully you'll be able to do it again! Also would be amazing to see you race in the real thing in the future!
It’s mad to think I was just watching yours GT2 streams and now you have accomplished so much Jimmy it’s just so awesome to see how far you have come, congratulations buddy 🥳
I freaking loved this event. the best 24 hours this year so far for me! thanks for being there and entertaining us during the whole thing
wow, man what a thing to be apart of! soo cool oh and happy birthday and congrats to the 500K, they are well deserved and all your dooing!
absolutely loving how your channel is growing Jimmy. Thoroughly deserved
Hahahahahaha I almost died when he said: "I've been told I can stream this. Oh! This is probably copyrighted! Paaaaaaaa dadaaaaaaaa, paaaaaaa".
I have to say it's all very surreal. Been watching this channel pre-10k subscribers. To see it hit half-mil is mind blowing. GG Jimmer!! Oh and Happy belated b-day.
Great highlight video dude and a big congratulations! Smashed it. Was really enjoyable to watch. Heres to the future!
i was there for the whole 24 hours, was a pleasure to be there for your birthday and 500,000 subs, grats jimmer
I wish this would become an annual thing. I know it wont (or have the same roster at least) but still nice to have a sim race with the real drivers just adds that extra level to the standard sim racing enduro
I was able to get a picture for 500k as soon as it ticked, tweeted it at you. Super happy to have been apart of it!
Wickens is a monster. Kept charging and didn't complain once. Hats off to the TEAM!!
Hitting such a big milestone on your birthday must be awesome!
Long time viewer, good luck Jimble Wanglebork. Onwards!
Congratulations on the 500k subs. We love you, keep doing what you love.
That sim change from Pagenaud is a massive flex but also impressive as hell 😂
What a race, what great fun, what a great shed boy, happy great birthday and 500k. You deserve every bit of your success Jimmy, much love. Can't wait to see what the next 500k brings.
Missed the end so good to see highlights, well done Jimmer
Congrats on 500k jimmy ive being watching you for a long time, I’m exited to see you in more of these races 🤘🤘
Congrats on the 500k subs Jimmy! You'll be over 1M in no time and you absolutely deserve it. I'm happy for you bro.
The Race Driver: GRID Le Mans music brought back so many memories, omg.
Watched the majority of that stream and this video, WE BEAT CHARL LE CHAIR!!
What an adventure man, and I was just watching. Very well done team, great job. And a special mention to Richard, what a legend, amazing effort.
Ferdinand won my heart. New fanboi right here.
Amazing event. Probably my favorite one of your streams ever. Congrats on 500k bud 👍

I watched almost the entire 24 hours, and it was great to be part of this. On to 1 million!
Jimmy is my absolute favorite sim racing content creator, love coming back to watch older videos like this and see where he was back then compared to now
What an event, absolutely fantastic. Happy Birthday and and congratulations on a 500k subscribers.
Surprisingly fantastic to watch. Congrats on 500k jimmy!!
Congratulations to you Jim. Very well deserved and congratulations on not finishing the race but beating multiple pros also 🙌.
That was a heck of a race! Really enjoyed it. Thanks, Jimmy!
I thoroughly enjoyed the event, your stream and these highlights. Thanks!
Absolutely loved it. Certainly the best sim race I have seen in my life.
Also congrats Jimmy on 500k subs.
Hey Jimbo, just wanted to say that we share a birthday, so happy birthday! And amazing race! Was there to watch you finish this amazing race!
It's your enthusiasm that makes your videos so compelling Jimmy.
You guys faced a ton of adversity during the race, yet you kept such a positive attitude throughout, which I imagine wasn't easy especially toward the end; it was hard to watch at times. I felt so bad for Robert as well. You were the glue that kept the team running to the finish. Well done, Jimmy, and Bacho too! Keep doing what you do. It's appreciated more than you may know.
This was amazing to watch only missed 5 hours idk why but i already get hyped to see this back it was amazing thx for the amazing experience ❤🏁
Jimmy you absolutely deserve everything you've got so far and by goly is there more to come!
Watched pretty much all of it with you Jimmer (except for the 6 hours sleep I had) - was a great experience - really well done on reaching your 500k goal and Ferdinand was a riot - definitely try to get him back on stream, along with David Pittard, Robert Wickens, Danni Haddad, David Schumacher and all the other brilliant team mates you've had :) Here's to the next 500k
It was a mega event, special to be part of. Tha ks for sharing man!! 🤩
Congrats jimmy, u are the guy that drag my interest in sim racing. Currently saving for a sim rig hopefully. Love u JIMMY
It was fantastic jimmy enjoyed watching you and the guys take part in the race so much
awesome stuff Jiimmy, had this pon pretty much 2pm til after midnight Saturday and then Sunday 10 am to finish
Beautiful video jimmy. Your passion and love for sim racing is incredible.
It was lit to say the least.
Thank you Jimmy and Congrats on the 500k!
Congrats on the 502k subs now Jimmer, be to a million in no time! Happy birthday as well!
Love this! Congrats jimmy from over here in New York 👏 absolutely awesome video I kinda jealous lol I wish I knew about your channel years ago, your a good dude👊 hope you see this mang
I watched around 16-18 hours of your streams during this event BUT THAT WON'T STOP ME FROM WATCHING THIS VIDEO YO!
