I've had lost my phone there on River Road. It was Christmas and was extremely busy. I am a foreigner too. A week ago, we read in the newspaper about phones has been recovered at the police station. When we went there, and looked for my phone and described the unit and brand. They told me, they couldn't find it. So that's the end of it.
It's happening every day in Nairobi. I also felt a victim, they trap me in a bus, somebody behind me through some coins and asked me to help him pack it, as I turn, the man seating next to me slow pickup my phone out of my pocket. I didn't notice till I get off the bus. After narrating this to my friends, unfortunately two of them were also a victims of the same trick.
For me, it was an old man and his son pretending to be lost in the city hapo imenti house. So, he wanted to make a call on my phone. I refused to even take it out of my pocket coz I know every street and could guide them. They got frustrated and suddenly there was a gang of 5 people claiming that I had stolen the old man's phone. Luckily, the matatu crews and hawkers around there came to my aide. One of them just said people can't dress like me and carry laptops in their bags just to steal phones...... To this day, I don't understand how those thieves disappeared when I flipped the tables.

Yeah that is what's in my mind since i watched the his first video and i saw a lot of people in the comment section talking about doing something like this and it was dangerous for sure he has a self defense tool but those ppls in comment section might do it unprepared and put their lives at risk.

I have a question? It's a "Asian man" recording this video. I know for sure, due to traveling they pick pocket/steal phones in Asia as well. So my question is why is he not doing this video in his home country?🤔🤔 Not only do they steal in asia. They counterfeit all of american products like iphones and shoes, so let's be transparent when we make these videos.

I've had lost my phone there on River Road. It was Christmas and was extremely busy. I am a foreigner too. A week ago, we read in the newspaper about phones has been recovered at the police station. When we went there, and looked for my phone and described the unit and brand. They told me, they couldn't find it. So that's the end of it.

It's happening every day in Nairobi. I also felt a victim, they trap me in a bus, somebody behind me through some coins and asked me to help him pack it, as I turn, the man seating next to me slow pickup my phone out of my pocket. I didn't notice till I get off the bus.
After narrating this to my friends, unfortunately two of them were also a victims of the same trick.

For me, it was an old man and his son pretending to be lost in the city hapo imenti house. So, he wanted to make a call on my phone. I refused to even take it out of my pocket coz I know every street and could guide them. They got frustrated and suddenly there was a gang of 5 people claiming that I had stolen the old man's phone. Luckily, the matatu crews and hawkers around there came to my aide. One of them just said people can't dress like me and carry laptops in their bags just to steal phones...... To this day, I don't understand how those thieves disappeared when I flipped the tables.
