Man I’ve been watching you for a long time probably about the time you bought your scooter. I have an Electra glide standard 19 model and I plan on working on mine the way you’ve been doing yours the information that you have provided is spot on. And I really like your dads bike with the 468 cam in it to me that thing sounds sweet. I might go that route first and see if that’s good enough for me. So thank you very much keep up the great work.
Good video. As always you give us good information it's never a dull moment keep up the good work stay safe. Hope I will see you at Bike Week🏍🏍🏍🏍🏍🏍🏍
Good talk, thank you, Tall.
Same mistake I made with my 107 m8, when I had 4.5 slip on then added bassani header! No back pressure, Danny at zippers straightened that out!! Thx zippers and tall!!
Yo Tall a live stream with Adam at Zippers would be great. That way we could ask questions live and he can provide some answers live as well. A hour or so would be great. Make it happen, captain!👍🏾
Good Video and Information. I purchased myself a 20 RGL last year and I had all of my upgrades completed before the 60 day mark and it ride like a beast on the fwy / highway out here in California. My upgrades are Stage IV 117 from the stock 114 (they don’t allow a 131) here in California. Only state that doesn’t. :( I also have the stock header, HD Tuner, and CFR Slip On’s. All covered under ESP. Continue to ride and stay safe Tall.
Very informative, thanks!
I noticed when I first did slip ons (4.5 RC) my motorcycle would hesitate at 65-80 mph. More like a surge feeling. Did tune it ran much better. That was just the HD tuner too.
During Stage 2 install, I was told that the factory headpipe on my M8 would outperform third party headers I was considering. The tune after slipons and cam made a big difference however.
I know i am one of the very few that leave my bikes alone but I always have. And the stock pipes always sound better over time. They work just fine for me. 🤠
Hey tall I was once told that the only stupid question is the only ones that you don't ask. Keep your awesome videos coming and thanks.
I say this to every new guy I train at work. For 30 years now wow I got old.
Good information
Learn something new. 👌
The Mighty Doc Harley Totally disagrees with you. and here is why: if we only Change the muffler and the air cleaner is stock, we don’t need to tune Because the electronic control (ECM) have 10% window to deal and add the extra fuel needed for the muffler. Common sense.
but if you change the air cleaner that’s a different story.
This guy sells tuners for a living. Why are you surprised that he’s trying to sell us tuners?
I got no problem getting the tuner but I was definitely told if I have free flowing slips ons I should change the headers and get a tune due to my bike running to lean and something about fuel air ration
Sweet Video Tall! That one was on point.NYC BKLYN, SHOUTING YOU OUT.HOLLA!HOG LIFE!
I know it's already a year old,but what the heck.Never to late to get another view.Just seen it.I guess I never stumbled across it alongside the rest of videos.
My 1200 Sportster Custom has short shots. Sounds great, but at certain speeds the bike shakes pretty bad. I was told it was from the exhaust and that the stock pipes act like a precision tuning fork to make it run smooth. Now on my new bike I'm scared to change the pipes at all.
Awesome video, so would the same apply for a 2021 RGS. Slip ons and a tune?
Good vid
I have 2021 I want put slip on so I should just wait to put the hole exhaust on I LIKE DND POPE'S
Hey Tall I have 2020 Road glide limited with a 468 redshifts can and a 2into 1 d&d bullit cat exhaust, what you recommend I should next, I have good numbers on the dyno.
Maybe I missed it but what were the numbers after the tune and before so we can get an idea of it's worth it. Maybe showing the graphs before and after.
A HD Dealer told me you don't need to tune after changing slip on 🤔 My gut instict said don't believe him. Glad I did more homework.
Most fools dont care so he just says that because it wont hurt the bike. In resent years though more younger and smarter people geting into Harleys.
My HD dealer said the opposite. He didn’t want to put slip ons without the tuning. He said it most certainly be done.
He’s totally right if you didn’t change the air cleaner you don’t need to tune
Yet, what about bikes that come stock with a high flow air cleaner? If slip ons are then added, what then? Is a tune necessary?
If you don't change the breather or cam I don't think you need to retune with just slip ons.
Can you explain a little bit of why this is? I’m looking to put a set of slip ons for my stock H-D 117 engine.
Slip ons and a tune and we are good to go 👊🏽
Do u have to tune if u add headers and muffler only?
How about in CA where I CAN'T tune? Are slip ons ok without tune?
I wish there was some consistency on slip on muffler information. Most tell you a tune is not necessary on 107 motors. Then you get a couple people telling you it is necessary. It's enough to drive you crazy. I just spent a good chunk of money on a set of S&S slip ONS. Now I'm wondering if I made a bad decision.
I was told the same thing with my M8. I have a 21 Electric Glide with Tap Preformance (Zombie Baffles) slip-ons. There's a cat in the headers and as long the cat is not removed. There is no need for tuning the bike.
Why do most forums filled with mechanics say slip ins have zero performance affect and they are solely for sound?
Ask them about the Harley auto tuner. That’s what I have.
Did he charge lots for all those runs
Probably not, zippers builds customer service rep by education! Thx to tall and Adam for working together!
21s run richer so you might be able to make more than this case
What's up with the mask
Love it when Adam is on your channel.
