Something I’ve noticed is that usual the lower ranked player win game one, but the higher ranked player adapts and wins games two and three

It’s adaptability at the end of the day. That first set is usually that “observation” phase, where the players are trying to get a read on one another. Afterwards, it becomes how you adapt to your opponent and vice-versa.

Well, I personally am interested in playing Asuka, but I don’t like how the test cases currently are. I want them all to be kinda equally potent, but the third one is way too strong imo having auto bookmark and auto regen spells. I wish arcsys at least moved auto bookmark or auto regen to the second test case and maybe got rid off, say, green or/and yellow cubes outside of the first test case. It wouldn’t fix the problem, but still the win condition wouldn’t be switching to test case 3 and getting 50% meter as you couldn’t do super into auto regen and auto bookmark.

In the same way that you receive a negative penalty for backing up and playing in a way the game sees as too passive or defensive, you can receive positive bonus naturally, without wall break or gold burst, by playing in a way the game sees as aggressive or active, for an extended period of time. And by that, I mean a REALLY long time. So long, that even though this has been a mechanic since the games launch, no one knows about since it never ever happens. There’s even a mission in the mission mode that teaches you about this way of getting positive bonus, but the requirements for receiving it are so unclear and take so long, it practically never happens naturally during gameplay, unless you’re fighting an arcade boss that has enough health to actually survive enough of a beating.
