I love how honest they can be with each other "honestly Bill, I don't know what you want me to do here, do you want me to leave?". There's no beating around the bush, it's straight up honesty and that mutual respect... I just love this couple so much.
Thank you very much for posting this. I think this is a great scene for several reasons. First of all we see Roslin and Adama in a different light, you know kind a cosy - a husband and wife discussing things, but very serious. Also it portrays them as characters not just as Commander and President. Sometimes people in such positions have to make difficult choices as we have seen Roslin do when abolishing abortion. This scene would have made difference.
What you are hearing is raw audio from the set before post-production. For example, none of the actors lines here are from the boom mic feed, what you are hearing are their lines as spoke in the room at the time with all the bad acoustics etc that entails. Everything is cleaned up in post - even overly dramatic taps ;)
@wrdonerd Yeah, he does. But it kind of seems so natural for him to shave in front of Laura because he is so comfortable around her. I love how she get's the towel for him, it seems like such a wifely thing to do.
The fact that Adama didn't get completely bent out of shape about this yet told Roslin what he was going to do (tell those two tools Helo and Sharon their kid was alive) tells me he was completely in love with her even at this point. He wasn't going to compromise himself for her, but he didn't really give a frak about what she had done because he loves her.
I find it amusing at how powerful the water pressure is generated from a small sink. Maybe I'm guessing it was done deliberately to express Adama's frustration in handling the truth from Roslin.
Back in season 2 episode 18, there is a scene where Roslin, Adama, Tigh and Baltar are in Roslin's office discussing this matter. Adama says the baby (or "thing" as he calls her) is bad news. Roslin agrees and says it would be disastrous to let Sharon raise her own baby. Adama then says the other cylons in the fleet would try to get the baby and cause a lot of problems along the way. The only one who dissented was Baltar, lol. And here in season 3 Adama learns that Hera had indeed been separated from her parents, _which he wanted_ So... why is he angry? Was that meeting just one of Roslin's fever dreams?
He's upset because he feels like she lied to him. But just as a husband does when he's pissed off at his wife He doesn't take it out on her That's why he went off to shave. since there wasn't a punching bag present he took it out on his face instead. He was just frustrated that's all
Wow! That was quite something! Was that a real emergency to raise his beard? :P I was sure he was going to get angrier than that! Kept his frustration in and try to be calm enough to speak to Laura. It would have been nice a little girl from Bill and Laura! Don't you think?
definitely should have left that one in. probably went against the fact that Adama was possibly going to nuke the planet with his son still on it (which frankly seemed Out of character to me). would have made more sense to leave this scene in and rewrite the other scene
I thought on the show, it was implied that Adama knew all along. Was that the reason this was cut, so that Adama was as culpable for faking Hera's death as Roslin?

The cut in the original show ends right before he gets up, which to me implied he *didn't* know Hera was alive.
