Imma be honest with you, the end for me so emotional. How the cliffhanger of whether Cuphead was able to revive Mugman (I’m guessing he didn’t but still not sure) was the real heart and soul. You could see how Mugman, still with his sanity, was reluctant to fight Cuphead, but once he tried, he was playing defensively with the invincible ability and only tried to maim, injure, cripple, or help Cuphead while Cuphead goes full on anime villain. While the battle was wonderful, it was really the text and the facial expressions that sold me. Smooth, emotionally and visually appealing, a perfect tragedy animation. The one thing I would ask for is an ‘Aftermath’ animation or a squeqal or something

i was wondering why Mugman wasn’t using the same powers as Cuphead
The axe is based off a charm in the game called whetstone, which lets you whack enemies with your straw
