Also Titan Warrior is a diesel and it would be at least 2,000lbs heavier than Raptor.
It's already been proven in reviews that the new Raptor can go from rock crawling to high speed desert racing, Ram Rebel TRX would be better competition for the Raptor
Even if you hate Ford, you cannot hate this truck.

Why ford gets hate
I've owned trucks all of my life all different brands, all V8. I've always been the type of guy that if I don't enjoy a vehicle I get rid of it quickly. I purchased the 2018 Raptor a little over a month ago and here's what I think. First off, it obviously doesn't have the V8 rumble, however to say this thing doesn't have a nice rumble sound is inaccurate. When I remote start it from inside my house, you can feel the vibrations and hear the rumble. I predict if you put on a nice aggressive catback exhaust system you would have 80% of your V8 rumble. Secondly, this thing is FAST. It feels more like my old Mustang Cobra then a truck. You just can't get a true feel for it's speed and torque without driving it. What I like most is that when you make a turn or something and you have to lower your speed instead of kinda slowly getting back to speed you can get their instantly like a true performance car. When the twin turbos kick in it's just an amazing feeling. Thirdly, it's one of the most advanced stock off roads trucks ever. This thing will handle 99% of whatever you throw at it. If you're planning to do HEAVY off roading I think almost any truck on the market should have a few mods done and that includes the Raptor. Finally, at first I hated the idea of the V6. I'm a real man! I want a V8! That is of course until you realize your driving faster then nearly every truck on the market and yet still managing 18-20 mpg. Currently, I have 1.2k miles on my truck and the overall average MPG is 19.2. Let me repeat that....19.2 for a truck that does the 0-60 in about 5.2 seconds. This is one nasty truck. I'll likely keep this one for a long long time. If a car maker comes out with a V8 truck that is fast and still maintains decent gas mileage (for what it is), and doesn't surpass the $70K(ish) price point... then I will reconsider my purchase. Until then, I'm a Raptor guy and very happy thus far.
I just purchased a 2018 Raptor about a month ago. It's amazing and I love it! With that being said. How are you getting that kind of gas mileage? I drive it very conservatively for the most part and I'm getting 13 mpg.
I’ve had my 2017 Raptor for over a year and a half and I just can’t stop loving it, it’s a gorgeous truck that gets crazy attention from Everyone and I’ve even caught a few people taking pictures of it when I’ve pulled up to gas stations and restaurants

Matt McPherson Dude the Raptor is as fast as a sports car, 0-60 in 5.1 seconds. It can do 80mph on rough terrain. That 6x6 takes like 8 seconds to reach 60mph lol The Raptor blows its fucking doors off guaranteed.

george palacios lol, u know the tundra pro raced Baja and won 1St place in full stock class back on 2015. The raptor tried to compete and his frame bent halfway. In 2016 raptor raced in a different class because it couldn't handle

I'm glad to hear you mention the depreciation aspect to ownership. If you buy into vehicles with very low depreciation overtime (if you're fine with a monthly payment) you can move up in vehicle exclusivity pretty easily. Thinking about selling my wrangler privately and moving into this platform.

As a Gen 1 owner, those who downplay this truck for not having a V8... I pity you. As a complete package, this machine is superior in every way. Power, efficiency, technology, feel, handling, construction, performance. This is a fantastic truck.

The 10 gears were for better fuel economy. Instead of riding like at 3500 rpm at what the 6th gear burning gas it has 10 so it can ride the lower rpms to help better mileage
The Raptor is definitely one of the coolest trucks out there, but I wouldn't get one because I'm not a dedicated off road guy, and I also need a truck that can tow an RV. But seriously, the Raptor is freaking awesome!

RP isn't a truck guy. A video like this about on road driving is a nice change of pace from the normal truck reviews. You can easily look up other videos or the towing specs.....

side note but relevant to the depreciation talk...my buddy TODAY just bought a 2016 Z06, black on black with 24,000 miles on it that was 110,000 brand new. he paid 65,000 for it in fresno ca. talk about depreciation...and 2017s z0s, gs, etc are discounted 15k just tryin to get em off the lot.

Wait a year after they fix out all the bugs. After that it’ll be great since the whole new engine was designed to fix the old eco boost problems.
Personally: I rarely tow (but it's nice to have the capability), cargo capacity, on the other hand, really matters to me, and with the Raptor...four people, luggage, and camping equipment puts us pretty near the GVWR. Honestly, that is probably enough for me, but I am used to much more from my old F-250 (2800 lbs)! I don't like the idea of being near the max w/ four adults and a fifty-pound bag for each person.

Yes,again a load of Chrysler engineers went to Ford,Chrysler had Turbo 4 cyl engines in the 1980's and 1990's...That technology went to Ford..
Chrysler had 224 hp 2.2 4cyl Turbo in the early 1990's in some Dodge models..They even had a Turbo 4 cyl with 350 plus hp,but they didnt have a transmission that could handle the power,this was the late 1980's and front wheel drive was fairly new to American cars,hell no import fwd had that power with a small 4cyl TURBO 4 cyl !

And if Chrysler let them go then they wouldn't be Chrysler employees anymore so the aluminum fords weren't designed by Chrysler engineers they were designed by just plain engineers. And the Ecoboost was developed by Ford in the UK so you are wrong on that one as well.

Its a great truck that is for sure but Ford missed the point on the engine. Some buyers want the big V8 especially current and former Raptor owners but other buyers used to Turbocharged imports are used to it and like it, however don't kid yourself the Eco-boost sucks on gas just like the 6.2. The sound of the V6 even with Turbo's is just week. If Dodge builds that concept they will steal buyers because of the Hemi. Just a thought, could you imagine this new Raptor with the GT350's 5.2 flat-plane crank, hell yea

What type of gas does it use? I mean does it require the 91 fuel at the pump. Well...err the most expensive gas. I've been debating whether or not to purchase the 2018 version, but would definitely be a deal breaker if it uses the most expensive fuel.

Reeling N' Revving yes you are right but you are also wrong, its tuned way differently and its a high output motor compared to the regular 3.5 ecoboost, keep in mind these are twin turbo motors not regular v6s, raptor makes 450hp/510 lb ft torque, regular 3.5 ecoboost can make anywhere from 365 to 385 hp with 420 or 470 lb ft torque, the raptor should be a few tenths of a second faster, regular 3.5 eb 0-60 is 5.7 this one should do it in the 5.1-5.4 range.

Reeling N' Revving yeah anything in the 5s is insane for a truck, if you want to see something even more bonkers check out the shelby f150, it has 700hp and I believe its a supercharged 5.0 v8 but dont quote me on that, that truck is a low 4 second truck.

Ram Power Wagon is the competitor to the Raptor not the Rebel if you're talking off road capability which is what both trucks are made for.
CG4Ut the power wagon isn't really a good competitor considering there to completely different truck like the raptor is more a Daja truck n the power wagon is more of a rock crawler
trucker_ sierra but a Rebel is comparable? No. This is a purpose built off roading machine. The Power Wagon is a purpose built off roading machine. TFL Trucks did a Moab course with both. Besides HP #, Torque #, and acceleration the Power Wagon beat the Raptor. If you have 70k to get either go ahead, but the Rebel is still not the competitor to the Raptor.
The Rebel TRX is the competitor of the Raptor it has the HellCat supercharged V8 in it that will product 545HP should be showing at the State Fair in Texas come Sept.
Kevin Wilson so I can go buy the Rebel TRX right now? No I can't. The Rebel in its current form is not the competitor.... the Power Wagon is and if you want you can even throw a Supercharger on it to give it that power to Baja a little bit quicker.

But as is the only truck close to the raptor is the power wagon and let's be honest (the raptor is better)

No its not...as a Ford fan and a 13 Raptor owner. I test drove a 17 and looks and interior design is better, the larger tires are better, features are better...however the V6 twin turbo is not fitting to this raptor...hey make it a option between a 6 or a 8 , but their needs to be a V8 option for those who are antiquated to the V8 sound and performance
