for those wondering why he wanted her to apologise in the first place, I think you have got to be in JCs mind completely. The whole way through the series he was always too proud and too jealous. At the time of their break up he thinks she has already moved on quick, maybe even "cheated". But now he desperately wants to be with her again, despite that being a knock on his pride...however I feel he needs to hear her say the word "sorry" so that in his mind he can take her back. Notice his smile when she does apologise? That case of "can you say sorry so that I can forgive you? "
And XX's character has always been under JCs spell. Though now shes independent and older, think its to show he still has a strong effect on her.
So yeah in life, dont apologise to bossy exes for no reason, but in the context of the show and their characters... Kinda makes sense to me.

"Apologize to me." For those who disagree with how Jiang Chen acts, this is probably low, but:
(a) When CX is threatened by a rental person, JC didn't know that. He only knew that CX called him many times and it was apparently because CX knew he was going to Beijing (which he hasn't decided at that time, by the way). In his perspective, CX unreasonably didn't want to listen to his reasons, not to mention that the only reason he was considering it because of his love to CX.
(b) When JC first time losing a patient (not only that, but the patient has a son who is the same age when he lost his father), he run to CX because he wanted to share his pain and what he's been dealing with. But CX didn't want to listen to him.
(c) JC saw CX with someone else (apparently Lu Yang's friend) and when he called CX to make sure, CX lied to him. It might be too much for him to handle that pain, otherwise he would show himself at that very moment to embarrass CX.
(d) Not to mention that CX didn't come (well, she did, but-) to his departure.
So, when JC said that, it means he is so in love with CX in a way that he is willing to let go all the hurts and pains he faced because of reasons above, without explanations needed.
