21:55 Everyone knows that turn 4 is your preferred Big Score turn, but here you could have floated some mana in response to the Demolition Field demolishing your land to cast it a turn earlier. Just you know know!

I tried Bombardment a few times in the past and it never seemed quite viable, but after doing it again with Lightning Helix, I think Bombardment's time is now. Lightning Helix alone makes a huge difference for Bombardment decks by having a lifegain card that can also remove creatures or end the game.
Bombardment can be a crap shoot at times; lots of hits and misses. Lighting Helix pairs incredibly well with it, as does many forms of removal. I'm working on a Mardu Bombardment deck and see how that plays out.I wish you the absolute best of luck in all your bombardings!

Great video! At 21:52 you could have floated mana from your Demolished land to cast Big Score a turn early!

The Jetsam giving so much spice in this Bombardment build~! Specially with so many graveyard centric decks in standard right now? Oooh, fighting those Domain decks would be SOOOOOO TASTY!
Woow, so i tried out your list and was super impressed with Ill-Timed Explosion! This card makes Izzet Bombardment viable, or at least finally able to keep up with Boros Bombardment. Happy to see what else you'll cook up with it!

Another Izzet gem. Explosion looks amazing! It's a board wipe and card draw...and it bins good spells for bombardment.

By the way, have you thought about making a Slimes Against Humanity deck? I've been running a Gruul version with Tribute to the World Tree and Invigorating Hot Spring, but I've heard Simic is good for cards like Otherworldly Gaze and Founding of the Third Path putting extra Slimes in the yard on turns 1 and 2, and I can only imagine Selesnya is gonna be fun with counter synergies and token multipliers like Mondrak and Ojer Taq.
Yeah Slime is on the list for sure. Not sure how I want to do it yet but as always love your ideas
@@MBacons Okay so coming back to this, I slightly tweaked your list in this video to include some copies of Case of the Ransacked Lab, and oh boy does it work well in this list. Maybe a little too well, actually. Maybe only play out one copy per game if you decide to give it a shot.
Now knowing what Jetsam does I immediately put it on my deck, this feels like I'm committing some sort of immoral act.

Game 3 was madness
I use Galvanic Iteration in these Izzet shells, it lets you double up on early spells and lets you trigger bombardment twice even if you don't have a second spell to cast.
Ill-Timed Explosion is a little worse than I thought because you can't discard upto 2 cards, its 2 or nothing. Still cool.
You know, if you replaced a few lightning strikes with abrades you could deal with artifacts a lot easier!

I put them in occasionally if it's a good or memorable game. I really thought that toxic player was doing next level thinking but it also turns out they were trying to get two toxic creatures on the board :)
Overall I am desperate for rotation -- I haven't played MTG:A in a year and have no plans to resume until after rotation -- but man, I am going to miss Bombardment when it rotates out of standard.
Missed lethal by not swinging with the devil first then detonating them with ill timed explosion
Last game opponent missed lethal, instead of playing Vein Ripper. He could have attacked you with Man-land and you would have lost.

You have a red/blue that copies spells?
See Double is really good for that. The ones like Galvanic Iteration that have to resolve before the spell is cast aren't good with Bombardment, but See Double works great since it can copy the spell you cast to trigger Bombardment or any of Bombardment's spells cast before it.
Why don't you ever play multiple Bombardments? In game 3, you had tons of mana and a second one sitting in hand for ages that might have helped pick up more useful spells to end the game.
A better question is why not toss it to ill timed explosion with 2 vindicators on his side of the battlefield and won with style.
Theres Melfork cards in Arena to be baned permanently. These garbage combos are only an ilusion to real Magic the Gathering synergies
