Cory&Shawn. My new favourite friendship of all time. And my new favourite bromance, along with Sam&Dean.
I started the show two weeks ago and I knew I would have loved these two, and I wasn't disappointed at all. I even loved them more than I thought I would, which is saying something.
I don't know how many of my subscribers watched this show, but I seriously recommend it to everyone, because it's a lot more than just a sit-com, in my opinion. It has of course a lot of funny moments, but also so many that are serious and emotional. And it has Cory&Shawn, a friendship you cannot not fall in love with. It's so beautiful. I'm getting emotional just writing about it, but really! These two now own my heart, I can't do anything about it.
I love how they always care about each other, protect each other, and even when they fight, they always come back to each other. I love how Cory keeps Shawn away from the darkness and how Shawn always wants Cory not to cahnge. I like Cory&Topanga, they're cute, but to me Cory&Shawn is the most important relationship in the show. The show may be a sit-com, but you have no idea how many scenes almost made me cry. And most of them were Cory&Shawn's.
And not only did I fall in love with Cory&Shawn, but Shawn is now my favourite fictional character ever, along with Sam Winchester. I love him so much, and I could relate to him a lot.
I also really love the show in general - I love how we can see the characters grow up (and omg Cory in season 1 is such a cutie), and how many beautiful platonic relationships there are. Besides Cory&Shawn, that it's my number one favourite, of course, I think the one I like the most is Eric&Feeny. I really love their interactions! And I LOVE season 1&2 Morgan :'D She's the cutest child I've ever seen (sorry, I have a thing for babies hahah) :'D
Anyway, enough rambling about the show haha
Let's talk about the video. I am not 100% satisfied with it, but that's because I kept finding other scenes I wanted to add, and obviously I couldn't add them all. I mean, you cannot contain even half of Cory&Shawn's moments in a 5-minutes video. They just have SO. MANY. AMAZING. SCENES. But I do have to say that I'm really happy I could make a 5-minutes video in two days :'D
I know I've already vidded this song, but it fits these two so much and it was also so well related to the first part of the video, in which I wanted to show how Cory&Shawn are like family to one another, so I just had to vid. I know the editing is really simple, and probably not much fitting to the song, but as you can see the video is basically just a succession of quotes, and I aimed mostly for emotional, rather than an “effect-full” video.
I hope you will like this at least a little bit!
On a side note, thanks to serendipity. For watching a part of this video and supporting me and to Katherine Pulkrab for putting this stunning coloring that makes the bad quality of the clips look a little less bad :'D
Now, after this POEM (I'm so sorry, I swear I didn't want to write THAT much ^^''), I want to make three very important dedications. I'm dedicating this video to the three people whose Cory&Shawn AMAZING videos made me decide to watch this beautiful show: vicu1904, LadyMagiccc, xfoxyamanda11. I've watched your Cory&Shawn videos like 20957820 times, and I never get bored of them :') I know this video is not even half as good as yours, but I hope you will like it, because I tried to put a lot of emotions in this!

Trust me, Riley/Maya cannot come close to Cory/Shawn's friendships. Like sure, Riley and Maya are like sisters to each other, but Cory and Shawn are more than that. Cory and Shawn have been through... like everything together, and I mean, EVERYTHING, at times they are each others' parents guiding each other to the right way, at times they're like brothers/family, at times they're like a married couple, sometimes they're like each others' mentors, they raised each other since forever. They are soulmate. Come on, even after Cory got married to Topanga, whom he also love so much, and has 2 kids, Shawn still comes before her.
True, Cory and Shawn's relationship is everything, not just best friends, they're soulmates, they're like family, like brothers, like a married couple, like fate, they're everything. Riley and Maya can't touch Cory and Shawn's level of friendship.

I'M BACK! It's taken me this long to find the words, and i'm not sure I'm going to find them still because this is just like everything and i'm so in love. Like the opening, all those voiceovers that literally killed me, the friendship and family and blood quotes gosh just like it describes them so well and then we move between cory&shawn older and cory&shawn younger and it's beautiful because the parallel of them always being there for each other is so beautiful and so strong because of the age gap!!! SO GOOD. AND THEN THE OTHER QUOTES 'they've got your back', 'all my life you've had my back' like i can't cope with these parallels. It's just freaking perfect and then 'that's family' 'you're my family' I'M DEAD. AND THEN BROTHER COMES ON AND I'M LIKE FREAKING OUT BECAUSE ITS THE PERFECT SONG! Okay and then you use like my favourite scene 'there isn't anyone who can make it better' and then Shawn arrives, like it just gets me everytime!!!! THE HANDSHAKE! THIS MADE ME SO HAPPY, ALL THOSE MOMENTS!! And all the calling moments, 'normally i'd call you' aw they're just so freaking perfect. This is literally everything, i'm just re-watching over and over whilst writing this hahaha. I just love how you see them always there for each other, the back off bits where they come to each others rescue is just so freaking perfect. And then the heartbreaking corpanga bits and how he was there for him throughout it all aw gets me so much. I love how you show all the hard times they went through as well, because these two went through so much and yet they never let each other go through it alone and they know each other better than anyone and i just love that you can see this throughout the whole video!!! BUT AT THE SAME TIME ALL THE CUTE MOMENTS THEY SHARED. Just shows exactly what friendship is, it's about those cute fun times too aw. How is this so perfect. I haven't seen this show since idk, probably 12 years ago (2004-ish when I was 14 years old) but it still warms my heart so much to see so many people vidding these characters again the last couple of years because of the new existence of Girl Meets World. Shawn was my obsession in middle school. I cried so many tears for him and his tragic family life etc, probably partially because I related to him and I always knew, even back then, that found family type friendship stories were the BEST.
Your videos are always so great and this song choice is one I haven't heard before but I'm starting to fall in love with. thank you for making this!! truly. thank you.
I just rewatched the whole thing with the volume a little louder so that I could understand every single voiceover and just... wow. I really love all the parallels throughout, both audio and visual, and honestly I just love this whole vid so much. it makes me kind of wish I could rewatch the show... now that I'm not 12 myself anymore I'm sure I'd have a different appreciation for it... (lol I think i watched the whole thing on every day reruns between ages 12 - 14 myself originally. I'm 26 now. )

I never watched much tv when I was little, so I never even heard of this show (even if tbh I don't know how popular it was in Italy lol), I only got to know about it about two years ago because of a couple of Cory&Shawn videos I saw. I'm 19, so a bit younger than you, but I'm not a fan of child shows and yet I love this one, because I think it's so much more than just a child show and it has so many amazing characters and relationships, you gotta love it!
And so glad we agree on Shawn :'D He's my obsession too and I definitely felt a lot for him and connected so much to him!
Family and friendships stories are the best for me and Cory&Shawn's definitely earned one of the highest spot.

The voiceovers were plenty clear. I was just watching from my mobile phone (as might've been obvious from some of my "autocorrect" spelling errors/typos) and it's hard with that kind of speaker to get the volume just right. You are REALLY skilled at vidding the voiceovers amazingly well, actually. I loved how voiceover heavy this was. And considering how old the show you're vidding is, and how you had to use source footage from before shows were even widescreen, this is actually completely amazing and impressive in the editing. Never doubt that!! :P
By the way, just as a... "P.S."... If you look back at the end of 2004/the beginning of 2005 around 12 years ago, before I knew vidding was a thing, before CZcams even existed actually!! you can see I was starting my fangirl life of you scroll to the very bottom of this page:

And seriously, thank you! So glad they were clear enough! Voiceovers are always one of the thing I struggle on the most, so it means a lot it came out well!

Anyway, apart from the fact that it's not very nice for you to tell under a video that there's another much better than this one, if you see how many more likes the other video has, I doubt there are people watching this video that haven't seen the other one lol
