@@BearNecessitiesAerialPhotos for enterprise users I think it's fair. I do like how DJI is using the best from multiple platforms and putting it all together in a nice package. I hope the roll out is good because if problems arise it will be a turn off for the target audience. When this needs to go, it needs to go. There can't be these non stop updates like other roll outs
I bought this drone and am currently waiting for it's delivery in excitement. My job is ranch work. I work with cows a lot and we keep them in large pastures. Having this drone will help with checking on cattle more easily. When we send out cowboys to herd them to the cattle pens to do medical checkups and things like that I can send this drone to scout the pasture for any cows we might have missed. I can go out at night and use the Thermal camera to spot any feral hogs tearing up our pasture much more easily. I can check on our fences in the harder to reach areas to see if any posts have broke or if wires came loose. I can periodically fly over our property and see if there is anyone illegally trespassing. Honestly there's so much I can do with this drone and I'm just an everyday cowboy. I can only imagine what this thing can help with in jobs that don't involve simple open pasture and woodlands.

The super fast deployment capability is a real selling point for the emergency service community I'm sure.
Last I checked all dji drones deploy in under a minute if good signal less then 30 seconds
Another thing worth mentioning is that if you do get one to fly for Search and Rescue, or other public safety orgs, you can enroll it into DJI's Qualified Entities Program (QEP) which permanently disables geofencing. I fly my personal Air 2S for SAR and getting rid of DJI's geofencing has been life changing, haha

REALLY impressive for a seemingly HIGH-quality “lower-budgeted” commercial drone Russ. NOT for your typical consumer obviously, and am curious as to price..JUST because. This was a great tutorial review man, good job! Edited to add: a little off-subject but my thoughts are EVERY controller should be LANYARD-capable. I opted for the DJI RC Pro with my A2S..and literally the 1st thing I did was adapt a lanyard to it so I wasn’t HAVING TO HOLD it all the time, possibly avoiding a ‘drop’ and just blowing a plus $1K piece of tech. Man, one of the best decisions I’ve made..just saying. Thanks again Russ

The full ecosystem hasn't even been shown in this video. I watched another review and with a fleet of these Matrices, you can do so much as they are able to sync back to CC where it can be monitored. amazing stuff.

Russ, I'm really impressed with this new drone. As a retired Law enforcement officer this will be a game changer for searches as well as the commercial inspection world. I hate to ask the cost for a unit with thermal capability.

Good review - hope to see it in person soon. As a public safety first responder this could be the best of all worlds. Russ you should have used the Thermal to check the levels of those tanks you zoomed into. You could do a whole series on thermal stuff and drones.
Very cool. My primary interest in drones is for inspections and work related tasks.
I've been doing Off Road Recovery Rescues here in the Las Vegas area. This would be an excellent addition to my gear for SAR. Seems like I'm gonna have to put those Dana 60's on hold for a while.

Would be super interesting for me to know how precise the data becomes, considering the RKT modules are not for improving the exif-tags but for improved GPS positioning...
It’s not really targeted for mapping. That’s more of a M300 job, although you could do it with the M30.

This is the size of foldable drone I’ve been wanting them to build.. I know an i3 is coming but if they’d build a photo/video specific model this size and put a x7 super35 on it or a full frame X9 I’d buy two!

Yes it does, and it rotates down more than 90 degrees also.

Great review! Does the M30 Series have the ability to setup a search grid pattern for SAR and report back as to what was searched? Would save a huge amount of time especially when searching an area. Three years ago this would have cost $30K plus and still not have all the features!

ok awesome stuff. so you get the normal one and the thermal one. but still if you want the lidar or any other camera like the p1 you need to have the m300. will there in future be the option to swop cameras or will they bring out the l1 and p1 m30's too
I was thinking about getting the Mavic 2 Thermal, I'm retiring from the military and I thought about starting a business using the Mavic 2T. I currently fly the Air 2S with the RC/Pro controller to create videos and take pictures. I'm not sure if I can fly the Mavic 2T with that controller. The M30 is double the price, it may have to wait. I've been flying for 4 + years and its time to make some money and finally enjoy my job!

Great review! Do you know if the batteries need 20-30 min to cool down before recharging like other DJI batteries? In that case, we would need 3 pairs (not 2 pairs) for "continuous flying". I am also very curious about how it manages to land safely in the case of loss of one rotor. Shifting power to the other rotors is not enough on a quad - it would flip towards the lost rotor. It probably spins very fast. I have seen other quads doing that, but not of this size.

Thank you so much for this video! I have been on the Volunteer Fire Department for over 38 years. I just got excited thinking about taking my retirement money when I retire and buying this drone. I could stay active by helping out on large fires to have an eye in the sky and for search and rescue!! This one would be so perfect for that!! That is a nice International truck Minot has! We have one that is a single axle that looks just like it! Again, thank you! I am so excited about this!! I could get in on rescues in the whole county. I know it would be much appreciated!!

Wow I never heard of a quad-copter able to fly with three motors. I know a Hex or Octo-copter can with one motor down, BUT a quad? Truly amazing DJI! Thank you Russ for the video. I am a little late catching up on my CZcams.
It can’t fly with three. Just land safely with 3.

Hi Russ. So theoretically, with a bigger (visible) UAV,
its size helps extend the FAA requirement to stay within VLoS (undefined distance / PIC discretion)
The anti-collision beacons, I'm sure help with that too.

Wow. I am just starting my business (part time). End stage... dream anyway... would include a shielded drone for powerline/wind turbine inspection. Do you know if this drone is going to be shielded for that purpose? I am guessing this 30T system is going to push $20K. Waiting for more information. Good work. Could you be in your truck operating it still with good signal? For example if it’s freezing one day and want to be in the warm heat in a vehicle.
The air 3S (that's if it will be called that) will be very interesting as the mavic 3 isn't worth the coin what's your thoughts as I'm going to wait 👌
Early in camera discussions, any info on the RGB if it has adjustable aperture? The M2EA does not and that's a negative in my needs. Great video, quick touch on several features. Looks like a great solution for many!

Question what does it come with in the pack and when will this be released to the consumer
Russ, I just got my new M30T and have figured out most everything. I've not yet flown just updating and setting it up as I just got it today. I even read the book but I cannot find how to change from Celsius to Fahrenheit nor can I see a place to turn on Top Strobe or how to adjust bottom lights. Is there a setting that I am missing and if so please help me. In closing please know that prayers are still going up brother. Thank you and God's blessings upon yalls lives this New Year.
