I live in the Philippines. I ordered a V6 Prado and 6 months later no unit yet. Then I saw dealers selling the Y62. I got one and I love it. We have the upgraded infotainment here with Apple car play and android auto. I used my Y62 in the sand dunes and it was a monster. My only upgrade was cooper rugged trek tires. My only gripe is this is a very big car. I've ridden the Prado and LC300 and they are easier to drive around town.

There was a 45k difference in price when I bought my Y62 against the 200 series last year. It was a "no brainer". I haven't spent that on accessories or upgrades yet, even though I'm trying real hard.

The difference in power from 95 to 98 isn't noticeable, 91 will see a loss in power tho. You don't need to run 98 in a NA direct injected engine, if it was a supercharged or turbo i would run 98 but it's not required to run it in the Y62 and you're wasting money buying 98.

The y63 will compete with the 300. The 62 was built to compete with the 200

You are comparing a petrol engine to a diesel engine. That's where the price difference is. You don't seem to mention that. That's why the petrol is a lot cheaper.

With all due respect, but when it comes to the interior - I would suggest that is a very personal opinion and does not reflect every ones taste.

Nice review. I just wish they had air suspension like LRs. Ours self-levels no matter what you tow. I could not do without it now. Please Mr Nissan add self levelling suspension..then I'd buy a Y62 immediately. Such a good car otherwise.

Nice video - thanks! Had my vehicle since February and really pleased with it. Bought it to tow a big van and am experiencing the sagging rear end. Unfortunately, I had the genuine Nissan tow bar fitted so can’t use weight distribution hitches (although apparently they are ok with the Hayman Reese gear). Looks like a coil & airbag upgrade needed. Otherwise, the vehicle is a beast!

had my series 5 for a few weeks now, and i agree with the seating i already noticed i couldn't get the perfect position for my desired seating and my wife drives it also so it always changes. but my TI Pathfinder had better seats i reckon. softer leather? not sure yet but still love the car . absolute weapon. woodgrain doesn't even bother me tbh. infotainment system will get upgraded eventually but not a major issue as you stated. great video mate. cheers

There is not a “massive” difference in the way these things run on 95 or 91. If fact the different it’s only slight with 91 and I can’t tell the difference on 95. Same with economy. On a recent trip with mine towing 3t I averaged the same on 95 and 98 and only slightly more when fill with 91.

That my friend is eqivelent to the base Infiniti QX80, oddly it’s a hodgepodge of dated, and new tech. The main fault of the rear suspension is the compressor that leaks out the tubes. Upgrade to the newest Infiniti rear suspension compressor . The 5.6 needs the highest octane. The one side timing chain tends to stretch out at about 60,000 miles US, but is a solid vehicle. You have a gem there mate!!

Great vid, but don't blame the controls for being dangerous because they are similar to another make of car. It is obviously your responsibility to learn how to FULLY operate the vehicle in a safe matter before taking the controls. That being said, accidentally switching from AWD to 4WD is not a cardinal sin nor dangerous (up to 100km/h), but for the more serious attempted breaches, this vehicle has many fail-safe features built in to it to stop inadvertent actions under certain conditions. Once familiar with this car you'll recognise the functions better. I'm sure the Nissan designers had a session of "what if they try and do this while reversing?" etc etc etc.
