Just about 2024 now!! Still proud to be hear?? This guys lyrics are unbelievable! Ive been on a lyric kick lately reading everybodys lyrics and Daughtry is a hell of a songwriter! For me, it is so easy writing the words to a song. I have a million songs written. Putting the music to the lyrics is the hard part. That's where Daughtry is incredible. I don't know how he does it. I'm 52 years old and seeing it all and done it all and been through it all and that's a lot of ammunition to write songs. I just have to learn how to put music to the songs.

I'm a generation Z male born in 2004 and Post Grunge 2000s is my favorite genre of music. I missed out on those times because now all mainstream is pop, hip hop, rap and other bunch of crappy songs.
Reminds me of my mom. This was the last CD she bought. She told me this song and September was her favorite. I had such a hard time listening to these for ten years. I was struggling this year knowing it's been ten years. This song line "Know there's no life after you" kept ringing in my head. Hearing him and that voice on the Masked Singer awoken something in me. First note, I knew it was him. I'd asked for a sign, but was this it? Maybe. Each week the songs felt like a personal message. Something I needed to hear. I've never in my life cried so much at one person's performance. I'm learning to find an outlet for my pain and deal with it finally. No more bottled feelings. Because mom's no longer here, I just need to find another way to remember and give her love since I can't here on earth. I'm healing one note at a time. ❤️🎶
I lost my husband back in 2016 and we had been split up for almost three years before he passed... This song hits hard :( as long as you're healing it's ok if it's not at a slow pace. Grieving takes time. Take all the time you need!! And I do believe this is a sign from your momma!! They may be outta sight but they are never gone ❤️
i listened to lot of chris's song during my teens years and i had a really tough years. been through a lot and the worse one is losing my father 😢 i'm not someone who good at talking and expressing my feeling, so these songs really helped me. i am a mother now at my late 20's and the rottweiler, he really woke up all those memories with hia voice and i knew from the start that was him! it's the voice that i can't never forget and all those memories keep rushing back. and here i am, listening back to his songs after all these years and i can't stop crying now

I get what you're saying but who are you to say that just bc YOU don't feel anything when listening to the list of 'boy girl artists' that other people don't? Been in love with his voice since the audition on American Idol. I remember driving down the street and turning on the radio and hearing that familiar voice for the first time since he was on Idol. I immediately went out and bought his first CD. Have everyone he's made. Some I've worn out so much I've had to buy twice. Lol. Back in 2014 my sister's all pulled together and surprised me with two tickets to his show in Phoenix. I took my 14 year old daughter with me to the show. Her first concert. Great times. Love Daughtry for life. Xoxox

What I adore about Chris Daughtry's music is you can relate to every single one. I feel happy inside with certain songs. They just make me smile! Then there are some that make me want to cry...like this one. I lost my boyfriend 4 1/2 yrs. ago unexpectedly at the age of 34. I was devastated. There is no "Life After You". Not like it was with him anyway.

Thank you that means a lot. God sent me a gift last night...I had moved twice after he passed and lost ALL his letters and cards :-(. However, last night I was listening to Daughtry and "Open Up Your Eyes" came on. I was dusting some books and something fell out of it! I thought "what the hell is that??" I have chills right now just typing this...it was a love letter from Matt! I immediately sat on my bed and cried like a baby. Finding a letter as such while listening to this extremely emotional song, my absolute favorite, was definitely a message from my love letting me know he's okay, happy, healthy and thinking of me. It meant the world to me to have a little part of his memory inside a beautiful letter. Now it's locked in a safe....:-D JK LOL
BTW, forgot to say, if you don't believe in miracles (I do), I hope for all who has read that last message, will now keep the faith and learn to believe in miracles!! Love and Peace ;-)

So glad I recovered this song in my adulthood, this song was one of my favorites as a kid
The first song I heard was "Waiting for superman" in the radio. I immediately searched for it and clicked on one of their songs which is "Battleships" after that I clicked on more of their older songs and I must say that I immediately fell in love with their music. This is one of the best ballads you'll ever hear.Daughtry is totally underrated...I've broke down on the side of the road it was the same time this song came out.Its been one of my favorites ever since. That day on the side of Hwy 80 on the way to Marshall,Tx scorching hot July but an beautiful human being stopped and gave a ride into town.Until I got off from work and got it fixed,long day but a good one anything could have happened on that road....
I will never get tired or bored listening to Daughtry's song. His voice is just amazing, unique & flawless no matter how old these songs are but just love to listen to all of Daughtry's album every single day. His songs are very meaningful.
