When you ask someone who you think of when you think of a successful founder, they’ll likely bring up names like Bill Gates or Mark Zuckerberg. This might seem to be the norm today, but can have troubling effects on the beliefs of future generations. However, I believe that with the power of inspiring content, we can encourage everyone, especially young girls, to pursue paths that might otherwise seem closed off to them.
A few months ago, I didn’t know what an IPO, venture capital, or pitching were. But after I learned, I was opened up to a whole new world of possibilities. This led me to think - what would happen if girls as young as 6 years old who already loved watching Roblox videos could see a story of a young girl succeeding in this world? The effects can be profound.
This led to Salt, the story you are watching right now. Through this 3-minute video, we sought to share the story of a woman navigating promotions, limiting beliefs, and startups, persevering and finding her voice in the world.
This video would not have been possible without the inspiration from two amazing women I wanted to shout out. First, Anita Sands, who taught us to “lift as you climb” and build a community where women support women. Second, Tiffany Pham, an incredible founder and believer in inspiring women through the media.
Let’s redefine what a successful founder looks like together.

I’m so thankful that you created this video to inspire young girls watching to pursue their dreams despite the doubts of others. I’m currently writing an article for my school’s newspaper about how gender stereotypes effect students, and a lot of the girls I interviewed expressed how people told them that they couldn’t do a certain thing because of their gender such as the list of actions Tiff’s boss said girls can’t do and more such as; “Girls can’t do math, girls don’t play sports, girls can’t play video games, etc.” I was so proud after watching your video because it made me realize that other people are acknowledging the fact that these stereotypes exist and sharing that we can do anything we set our mind to despite the common stereotypes we find in today’s society. To be honest, I was originally afraid of writing my article because of the reaction it would receive when I’d post it, but now I am now more motivated and inspired to finish writing it. Thank you Jenstine, for all the work and effort you put in your videos, and for the meaningful messages you decide to include in them. 💜💜💜

I can relate sooo much to the character. My parents thought I can't code just because I am a girl,but I had my brother's support. He helped me learn C and Java. After I came 1st a coding competition in my school. my parents realised that if boys can do something, girls can do that too.

This is so amazing !!! This was and still is one of my favorite songs. Now when I listen to it I can think about how I can.
To anyone reading this: focus on what you can do. Many people can't do a lot of things so that shouldn't put you down. Focus on what you are good at and help that give you motivation or inspiration. I know it can be hard (because I am saying this to myself too), but having a positive self image can make a huge impact. Know that you are beautiful and can do anything you set your mind to, even if it seems impossible.
