Was the same with my mother. She loved Abba and past away september 2023 of lungcancer at only 63 years old.. I always think of her when I hear Abba! RIP all those loved ones.
All of todays radio Pop-Tarts that think they can sing with thier auto-tuned voices need to listen to these girls..Rich, Strong and beautiful...Some of the best 2-part harmony I've ever heard in my 60 years alive!
i'm so glad to see you for first time with reaction to ABBA songs several things to say about "Chiquitita" (1979) Chiquitita" means 'little girl' (with affection) in spanish And the melody have a spanish tune, specialy by the acustic guitar But the center is the wonderful piano, like the most ABBA songs "Chiquitita" is a beautiful song, a masterpiece ; it has hopeful lyrics, a melody that starts very soft with the blonde Agnetha's solo, then grows and explodes in a powerful chorus; Agnetha and Anni Frida's vocal harmonies are of excellence It allows us to check how excellent singers Agnetha & Frida are and what harmonies of excellence they achieve. It stands out especially when they stretch the monosyllables with great quality and beauty "Chiquitita" was premiered especially for the UNICEF Concert (January 9, 1979) and its royalties are eternal for UNICEF "Chiquitita" was ABBA's greatest success in Latin America, that prompted ABBA to record it in Spanish, and its success was so extraordinary that in the following year ABBA recorded a full album with their best songs entirely in Spanish ("Chiquitita" in Spanish is the biggest ABBA hit in My country Argentina) Chiquitita" is in the Top 3 of all ABBA worldwide biggest hits, with 'Dancing Queen" and "Fernando", and it's a fantastic Masterpiece These official video was filmed in Swizterland 1979 ABBA goes for a TV Special to the Child's International Year that´s why there's a snowman there It's the only promotional video that ABBA made without Sweden I hope to see you soon in another ABBA song my next suggestion is "Súper Trouper" (1980) with the brunette singer Frida in lead voice GOD bless you and stay safe My best regards from Buenos Aires, Argentina 🇦🇷 South América
This was filmed by the BBC crew while making the 'ABBA in Switzerland' TV special in early 1979..Roxy Music and Kate Bush were guests in that show.Snownan is out in the landscape. The Jackson 5 (with young M>Jackson) had also filmed their 'Blame in on the Boogie' hit in front of that snowman btw.
This video was filmed in Switzerland (in a ski resort/hotel). This song was a big hit (the spanish version) in Latin America... Some time later they decided to make Spanish versions of several of their songs (a total of 15) (included on their album ABBA ORO). Great react, btw, Tasha 👌 Please more ABBA 🙏 Greetings ❤ from Chile 🇨🇱😘👍
I was born 90's and this song was piercing through my heart and emotions. I feel so nostalgic and mixed emotions. Really a great masterpiece. long live to Abba
This took me back, ABBA was my mother's favorite and I got the image, from when I was a little kid, of her rocking in her chair and listening to her vinyls. Thank you for this.
ABBA is a whole. People just talk about the amazing voices of the two girls but they are more than that. The two guys are not always on the front but let's do some justice, the musics sung by Aghneta and Frida were also successful because they are catchy and on that Bjorn and Benny are geniuses on composing antological tunes, on the other hand this tunes wouldn't be so successful if they were sung by other girls than Frida and Aghneta, I just love them all the girls and the boys❤❤❤❤
Well of course the guys are genuises. But i won't blame you...I think this is a 'granted fact' in the back of many people's mind about the guys and that's some reason why we focus more on the girls.Guys are the tree with the roots ,girls are the fruits. Each one is each other's missing/needed part/We love them as a 4some.All 4 so exceptional.
Chiquitita" proved to be one of ABBA's biggest hits. It was featured in the Music for UNICEF Concert, broadcast worldwide from the United Nations General Assembly in 1979. As a direct result of this event, ABBA donated 50% of all royalties from the song to UNICEF.
One of the best groups ever. Sold 9ver 400 million records. Only the Beatles have sold more. They were 2 married couples from Sweden. Ani-Frid aka Frida or Annie the auburn haired one married the pianist named Benny. Agnetha the blonde married Bjorn the guitarist. The snowman was a reference to UNICEF on a Christmas special. ABBA donated all the proceeds of this song the UNICEF and Frida is still a UNICEF ambassador to this day
Quite! This ABBA video is not for those who are chionoandrophobic Of course, there had to be a word for fear of snowmen! Other than that, what a lovely song and a lovely reaction! ❤
Actually it was a Switzerland the promo videos that you see back in the day directed by one of their favorite directors. This was done in a rush for a program that they needed to film something quick. Favorite director of the promo videos was not around so they just went outside the studios in Switzerland and their winter clothes and recorded in front of the giant snowman It has no significant meaning contrary to what some people say Chiquita does not mean snowman in swedish LOL. Spanish for pretty girl
@@truckerkevthepaidtourist this was filmed in a studio as a benefit for UNICEF. To this day all the proceeds go to it. Frida is still a UNICEF ambassador

Please react to Rock Me,original video, with ABBA...and other songs from them, like Summer night city(also original music video),Watch out......great,great ABBA songs..everyone reacts to songs like Dancing queen, Mamma Mia,Gimme gimme gimme,..they are very good songs, but it gets stale after some time as there are so many other great ABBA songs out there....
Have a listen to Jack harlow industry baby, how do these people get away with poor voices and no rhythm and melody..no talent at all..These girls could sing their hearts out producing beautiful music.
ABBA was my wife's favorite group and this song was her favorite song. My wife passed in 2012 from cancer and I almost cry every time I hear it now.
I’m so sorry for your loss ❤️
made me cry too, friend.
I am so sorry for your loss.
I'm so sorry. Bless you sir.

I am glad to see the younger generation getting into ABBA. Their music is beyond brilliant. No autotune just pure vocals.

Ja.... FRIDA och AGNETA skapade också många kör och stämsångsarrangemang då de påverkade hur de ville sjunga... vilket sällan framkommer🎉🎶❣️

Angelina Jordan released her first EP with Republic Records. Just an FYI, all the songs are on her official channel😍
Chiquitita , little girl
I like this as it is the only song that shows the power of their voices.
My favourite ABBA song is Thank You For The Music
No autotune.
The clip is silly but the music is from heaven!
The snowman was super scary:)? Think you are the first one who mentions it being super scary:).
The snowman is there because it was a Christmas single made for charity.
Beautiful job, thank you…
I've never heard this one before 🤔
ABBA - "Rock Me".
Definitely beautiful and you are definitely Beautiful so I'd say that's a helluva combination 😘!!!

Hello 👋
Heyyyyyy ☺️
About 5:27 dark figure scuttles across the back of the set....
You should listen to this in Spanish, it's magical.
Why does Agnetha always have the sunglasses on? Is it promotion?
The music produced by this band is very versatile; It's a mistake to pigeonhole them as a "disc" band
I doubt the you were around when ABBA was here. I saw them in Boston in 1979....don't diss the snowman...you don't know the basis for this video
Have a listen to Jack harlow industry baby, how do these people get away with poor voices and no rhythm and melody..no talent at all..These girls could sing their hearts out producing beautiful music.
Makes me go so far back ❤❤thank you ❤ love you for this ❤
My dear, Chiquitita means Little One. And the snowman is really matching the song. Enjoy!
The snowman is not scary. Jesus H. Christ.
