It says in the video that Iran has a very poor culture of equipment maintenance and that there are sanctions on both spare parts as well as training ability. No matter how good the initial design isor how well-kept aircrafts of tbat type the US operates. What matters is that the Iranian units were not properly maintained, with suboptimal parts and staff training making it a flying museum.

My great uncle died in a plane crash in with the President of the Philippine in 1957. I studied the crash in school, despite decades of conspiracy theories that there was a bomb on board, any actual look at the evidence makes two things clear. 1. The plane crashed into a mountain due to bad weather. 2. Nearly identical crashes to this were terrifyingly common In the 40’s and 50’s.
I'm pretty impressed that Iran didn't use this incident as an excuse to blame any of their enemies.
And thereby admit that their security is so weak that hostile forces can assassinate their head of state within their own country? Even if an enemy of Iran was actually involved in the incident I doubt they would admit to it.

I assume it might be a sort of gotcha. If the US were to deny aid, the Iranian people would see the US refusing to save their leader's life. If the US assisted, then the US was providing aid to its sworn enemy. Either way, Iran could get away with an acceptable outlook regardless of what the US did, though the US saying they can't due to Logistical Issues is a pretty good workaround since it is a justifiable explanation

Helicopter crashes happen in mountains and in bad weather in mountains often. Helicopters do not perform well at higher altitudes nor do they do emergency landings well at high altitudes either. Such as in mountainous areas, which are always at high altitude, and can have turbulence. History is full of helicopter crashes in mountains. And even crashes of helicopters going to rescue or visit helicopter crash sites in mountains is a common occurence. Look it up.

In my opinion, this is the perfect example of Alexander the Great’s solution two the Gordian Knot. The simplest explanation is the most likely one. The helicopter was flying in foggy conditions near mountains which has all sorts of downdrafts. It was a risky idea to fly in these conditions regardless. Plus you have 50 year old helicopters in questionable condition. I believe it was merely an accident.

Assuming there was enough time to start autorotation (helicopter equivalent of a glide) the impact could be survivable. The terrain shown in photos from Iran looks possibly survivable.

I’m a Helicopter pilot, Sounds like inadvertent IMC (flying into cloud/fog) leading to CFIT (controlled flight into terrain) the pilots likely weren’t aware they were spiraling down/descending, it’s extremely easy to get disoriented when you lose sight of the ground and aren’t expecting it in a properly equipped helicopter, and nearly impossible without the right equipment. If there were no mechanical failures or icing, it wasn’t an “emergency landing” or a “hard landing”, it was a crash.

Were they not using the navigator? Did they shory of petrol? What really caused the accident?? Unbelievable!!!

The last one was the President of Poland in the exact same circumstances, (though flying in that case) where the conditions were really bad and they should never had attempted it. Japan was on their 2nd Prime Minister by the time Abe was assassinated, he was just a Member of the Diet by that point.
