- We're moving onto the ENCOR 1.3 blueprint - Differentiating between Cloud and On-Prem Deployments! In this video, we explain the concept of virtualization and data centers, as well as provide a true definition of what a cloud service is before rounding it off with a look at cloud service models and deployment models.

9:00 this is exactly the type of network I saw in so many places back in the day, especially a regional bank...separate physical servers for NT 4.0 AD, DNS, WINS, and God knows how many Netware servers they had. Sounds crazy today, but it worked.
very very underrated channel... keep up the good work you deserve more.....................
29:29 I say this everyday to almost everything. Great video!
That's hilarious. Very true, though!
Oh man. These are some really good videos.
I use to work for Azure support. While these services are on-demand, depending on the VM, or whatever service, you get, there will is a quota limit for the number of machines you can get at once. My main job was controlling this quota for people and troubleshooting these services. God forbid if you wanted a high number of limited machines. Talk about a headache... More often than not this service is automated, but depending on the issue, a human would have to get involved at times..
52:00 wouldn't chargeback be cool if we could charge it per packet and bytes per department. But yes, bank in the day IT in my region bank was its own cost center and only spent money, it didn't make any--but what is the value of enabling every single department in an org?
1:02:15 Do you suppose the private cloud inside a hybrid cloud MUST or SHOULD(in RFC terms) confirm to the 5 NIST while inside a hybrid?
Aah, I missed the live!
S Series are limited in what we can do, because we remember that we have those two server nodes and they need to share an underlying network card. Therefore, we only have VIC options available for the S Series, could you help me understand a little better this and in addition to that I could use the management port to start using it, thank you very much Jeff
The S-Series server has PCIe options as well, so we can deploy more than VICs. VICs were required with the original hardware, but the latest allows for non-VIC network connectivity. When we have two server nodes, each node claims one of the network cards, so we don't need to virtually carve out vNICs, for example.
FYI there are some great sessions on the S-series at ciscolive.com, which are free to access and drill into the depths of the S-series architecture. I hope that helps!
@@KishSquared thanks a lot , hepl me a lot !!
Great broadcast. Will the SD-WAN be regarding the Meraki lineup?
Sorry no, the ENCOR blueprint only lists Cisco SD-WAN so that will be our focus.
Kish, one query ..individual Virtual Machine on same physical HW will have separate MAC and IP address.
Correct!
@@KishSquared Thanks
Dear Jeff, ¿Could i mount a Collapsed Core in HA with a 93180 and Nexus 3548 for my Network workflow in the DC, there are some downsides to doing this with 2 different series types?
So long as you have all the features you need, there is no harm in mixing and matching model types. The 3Ks are missing a lot of features that the 9Ks have, so just be sure to double check that.
But as far as architecture is concerned, that all works great!
@@KishSquared thanks a lot !!
I passed!!
Congrats, Alin!!! Makes it all worth it!
