Hi I saw you started with the blue going from the inside to the outside when single crocheting but then when you added the white you started to go from the outside to the inside when single crocheting and look to be going counterclockwise instead of clockwise how you started. Which is this correct way?

Whenever I do the under over x thing it doesn’t make a loop it only makes a slip knot do you know what I’m doing wrong?

It’s very similar to a loose slip knot. Just don’t pull too tight!

I think this tutorial is a bit difficult for complete beginners, at the start i was also very confused so I watched a few videos on how to do magic rings, increase, etc, and the rest is pretty easy. I suggest learning the basics before making the whale. :)
