  • Fishing for BIG bluegill from the riverbank when something CRAZY happened!!!
In this video I decided to fish from the riverbank with my ultralight reel setup, I was using big nightcrawlers for bait to try and catch some big bluegill panfish. To my surprise I did not catch any big bluegill, Instead I was catch giant size shellcracker panfish an at one point I was doubled up with an unexpected catch. #riverbankfishing #giantfish #catfish #angler #panfish #fishing #fyp #bluegill

Hey David...enjoy your channel. I'm from citrus country. I spent more time on the river than in a house from Inverness to Dunnellon I know every honey hole in that river. I Live in Germany now and really do miss fishing...but watching your channel helps.

I make fishing flys and lures that work., I use the same lures for my fly rods on my light weight spinning out fits with wonderful success . nanna and papa wishing you well.

All of these things occurred in Texas. I'm hoping to get to Florida and do some of the same over there! Luv ya, brother!

I've noticed that you don't need a whole big worm to attract a bluegill. Just a small piece on a number 12 will do just fine.
Another option, if the Canadian nightcrawlers get too expensive.
I can hear "y'all come from the south"... Try a ribbon of pork rind.
Big at one end and tapering off to an end, kinda tadpoll shaped, maybe an inch long, on a number 10 hook. Keel rigged, like a miniature bass rig.. I'm not sure if it will work where you are, but it certainly Works where I am!

@@StompinDirtYes I really enjoyed your video and have subscribed. I never heard of that river before but when I pulled it up on Google Earth, I see it is close to Ocala, which is where my wife was born. So long story short, we now live in the Great Smoky Mountains of Tennessee, where I was born. It's all good. She's my little Florida Gator sunshine girl, and now a conformed Tennessee mountain girl! But anyway, I would love to come fish those same waters of your video. A fisherman's dream come true!

It’s very sad that the area we live is toxic. The wildlife and fisheries department posted a warning against eating any of our area fish because of high mercury levels and other problems. So many of our waterways have been ruined because of industrial and agricultural pollution. Makes me wonder how long it will be before the sport of fishing is a thing of the past. When I was a young boy, our family relied on fish and wild game for food. You couldn’t pay me to eat any fish caught locally now. I can remember creeks and streams that were safe to drink from. Those days are long past and I honestly don’t think clean waterways will ever return. I’m not an environmental nut job or tree hugger but it’s plain to see that mankind has destroyed much of our planet. Even if serious clean up measures were to be put in place it would take many generations to put a dent into the damage we as people have caused in such a short time.
