I just looked at the soil temperature for my area.. Warmest was Feb 13th and currently it sets at 50 degrees. We had an early break of very warm weather that started to fool people.
@devinhamilton7676 a mix of soybean, lablab, vetch, cowpeas, and sunflower/sorghum. The scattered sunflower and sorghum gives the rest of the stuff something to climb up producing more tonnage.
I wait til after our average last frost and then wait some more.

It's easy to get fooled! It's much safer to trust the average range for each location!
I plant in late march early April. Im also in sputh Louisiana

I don’t plant till July in Michigan,
What about Alfalfa?
In most areas, it's best to plant alfalfa during the early fall.
